  2. Hey guys,

I"m sick of this rot in my garage - so i want it gone sometime this week, how about.. by thursday whatever isn't purchased, first one to come get it can have it. Its mostly useless stuff leftover from a project.

I work full time, and will be at home in Thorneside, Brisbane, from around 6pm onwards each day, possibly working from home tomorrow, and wednesday depending on how things go at work today.

All parts from an R32 RB20det:

Intercooler and all piping ~~$70, dirty - but no bent fins etc

Brake master and slave cylinders $30

Some funny black bottles - maybe reservoirs for the aircon or somehing

either the aircon or powersteering compressor, agian - not sure:)

    R32 gearbox crossmember

Turbo, and exhaust manifold heat shields - $30

Rightio, thats probaly it - i can't remember. Anyone who wants something, can contact me on 0433668383, i'll try to leave my phone in the front office where there is reception!

I want the stuff gone this week or else. If you are interested in any particular part, call me or sms me and i'll give you details for how to come and collect it.

    Thats my speach:)

Whatever someone pays for the Powersteering or aircon thingo - i can donate to SAU if you want, since i have no idea what its worth:)

  3. hey all

I have a pair of 12" alpine type S subs that have been used for about 3 weeks at minimal volume, They are in as new condition, and are in a custom box as seen below that is perfectly sized for them.

The reason for selling is i upgraded to a type X sub.

I am after $650 ono please contact me on

0433668383 at any time, or email on [email protected]

These subs are located in brisbane, (i will deliver at the right price to the gold coast, sunshine coast and toowoomba)

    Looking for a quick sale

    Charles

The back is angled to match the angle of the rear seats that it was in. Will be a fairly tidy fit in most cars.

P.s. - original packaging is available on request.

  4. Clearly skylinekiller has been killed by skylinesaustralia, however i think i should take time out of my highly technical, educated job to belittle this fool - Skyline killer you literally sum up the exact reason why there is a v8 vs import war.

The sad facts that war started is because 20 years ago, the bigger your 8 the cooler you were (and the less you needed to shave or change your flanellette shirt) since the imports arrived, most v8 owners can't turn a corner without feeling inferior, and needing to put on a generally discraceful attempt to 'put us in our place'.

I wont continue along that line of discussion, there is no point, the irony of intellect is that you need one to understand anything I, or 95% of the other members of this forum's thoughts. Personally i'd rather be around people that can construct a full sentence, constructed with facticious basis, rather than aimless malice driven posts. Now, to highlight some things i thought needed highlighting:)

Tell me..... if japanese technology is so great?

why can they not get 7500HP out of one of there engines.

    A 540Ci supercharged keith black V8 makes 7500HP and 5000Nm of torque?

Most powerful jap engine I know of is a 1900HP Lexus V8 (ahah and it had to be a v8)

    1. What chickys? - I prefer mine with teeth.

    2. I've never lost to a HSV, big deal - you tell us we pick our races, i'm flat out finding a HSV that is game to make eye contact with me.

    3. Your car doesn't look like a rice burner, neither does mine, And you can not sensibly debate 'looks' anywhere, looks will always be personal opinion - there is no definitive way to prove that something looks better than something else you pathetic child.

    4. What a pathetically indescriptive comment - tell us how much its cost you.

    5. You are welcome to demonstate your brute power to me, and i'll demonstrate my technologically advanced and usefully applied balance of power and precision.

388rkwk? and you ran 11.75? dude... you need to do some math (if you can).

hhaha listen to you rice burners, lol

    wanna know a funny story

When I was in melbourne, i was with the guys that where going on about GTRs n shit. And i started given em shit. and they said... ****ing fags that drive V8s are poofs... ***** ****s..we smash em.

"Mind you there dressed up as pretty boys, and probably wearing make up"

as we were waiting out the front of Level 1 Night Club, a VS SS drove past and they started shouting, ****ing Dinosaur, buy a GTR u *****'s.

The guys in the SS heard it, and went around for another loop, came back and got out the car, and grabbed carl (the biggest guy there, by the neck and procedded to raise his hand and thumble him)

Carl shat, and was nearly in tears. This guy in the SS made him scream out that turbos are gay, and carl did as told..... haah

you turbo guys are all new age soft ****s that drive gay cars, and talk about kws/kg and turbo timers and shit like that.... ****ing NURDS!!!!

hahaha, u really should see how u all look from my possition.... look GAY!!!!

Dude i would love to say that the most exciting thing i can find to do with my time is to enjoy beating someone up. But, no, i would hate to say i enjoy that. If nothing else, i think you are the most dispicable person ive come across in... a very long time. You take pleasure in hurting other people? Dude even monkeys respect each other.

    ---

    Last point

7500HP v8's? dude why dont you use that last remaining brain cell to go ask someone what the fundamental difference is between that an the import racers.

I'll give you a hint, its a liquid and you wouldn't want to be covered in if you were practicing firetwirling.

  5. if you're lucky they could have shorted you and blown a fuse

if you're unlucky they may have managed to disconnect a valable wire such as your main, remote or earth to the head unit:) will be fun to find, when in doubt - get out your multimeter and start at the back of hte head unit, if its recieving full power on the yellow wire, a signal on the red when your key is on ACC etc, and the earth is strong. then i would be asking your compliancers to replace what they blew up

not that i can see how they managed that:)

  6. if you aren't going to use a wastegate that dumps to air, then get a twin dump pipe made - it makes quite a large difference - we tested about 600rpm earlier for boost, and 20-30horsepower across the board (over stock rb20det dump pipe).

twin dump pipes have a main pipe, and a second one coming out of the wastegate part of your turbo, then rejoin lower down - in my case, just before the cat.

but yes - if you are going a bigger flanged turbo, you dont want to get a $500 custom dump pipe made, then need it remade because its hte wrong flange.

but yes you will get big gains - as with anything done ... right:)

  7. Hey all, selling a vg30 turbo, a nice cheap upgrade offering pretty good power increase for the money.

i have run it at 12psi probably a dozen times for a quick stab here and there, but it sits at 10psi (stock - on my car) all day and never even see's full boost.

anyways, if anyone wants it i'm after $400 and a quick sale.

    0419993515, in Thorneside, brisbane.

i had the compressor housing rotated to match my intercooler piping, so the actuator was modified - you'll either need a welder, or 10 minutes of a friend who can weld to connect it back up at normal 'rotation'

as for condition - i'm not a turbo expert, but it was in great condition when i put it in, and its had an easy 3000km's

  8. some questions...

firstly easy one - why are you selling?

good condition - not ... excellent contion? and why?

and hard question, due to intercooler piping having to fit SOMEWHERE in my 260z, the front (compressor?) on my turbo was rotated... does this mean i have to have the wastegate actuator modified on your turbo to fit it?

i can undo a few manifold bolts on either of a turbo to fit a new one, but i can't weld... - but i can organise friends who can weld :>

  9. Dave,

sorry to be a pain but i can't make out what i need to - referring to the second picture...

in the upper left corner, mine has a row full of resistors, whereas the other model doesn't - this poses a problem, as my motor came with an ecu that had the resistors - and when it failed we put the other type in, and due to the lack of resistors - it got fried.

when i unpack this weekend and find my ecu's (i have 3 blown up ones - long story), i'll give you the model number of the type i need, i juist remembered that the first half of the number is different between the two.

sorry to be such a hassle

    Charles

  10. Yes thats right - an rb running on 5 cylinders sounds like a wrx  i find that amusing..

And to second everyone else, when a coilpack dies (or even semi dies) it starts to misfire that cylinder ,as no spark is being generated.

I found that while my coilpacks (2 now) were still only half dead, they'd start to fail in higher gears, such as doing 100kph in 5th, but if i dropped it back a gear and gave it some stick it would come good, (for a few seconds). probably not the smartest thing to do:)

  11. Of course you'd make it fine if you dont boost it up, (as the clutch wont be asked to withstand any serious power).

However, how long your clutch lasts will depend on a few things, such as how bad it is right now:).

I had a friend who had the same turbo as you(he'll probably see this post and elighten further), and his was tuned using stock ecu with an SAFC - he was well and truly maxing the injectors out, and the stock clutch was still holding.

having said that, my car's clutch also held out fine, i have a more conservative 250rwhp~~

Your average stock clutch, will definately wear a lot quicker under lots of power - duh, but having said that, at max power on stock injectors - it isn't just going to wear out on the spot.

Best bet is to take it easy, and keep your eyes out for a FS post on here with a nice twin plate in it or something, - and most people would say - put a superlight flywheel in at the same time:)

    ---------------------------

Summary, my open diff is locking up under the power - my clutch is still holding

Take it relatively easy and you'll be fine, Considering that you'llneed the PowerFC and a tune to get any real power happening, it'll take more than one go to burn the clutch out

*providing the clutch isn't already worn to buggery*

  12. As none of you may know, my car was stolen, and removed of its $3000 stereo, with all the locks and handles smashed up, so i went to fetch it, it started up ok (better than it used to actually (eek))

but i went to drive off, and wow clutch didn't work. so here is my story.

THe gearbox itself feels like its selecting gears, you can hear it as normal clicking etc around inside the box, just like it always has.

the clutch pedal still feels just as heavy as always, so its sttill pushing a clutch, the clutch pedal also felt smooth.

when you let the clutch out, absolutely nothing happens, the revs the engine is doing dont make ANY change, and it makes no difference what gear you are in.

If you sit and try for a minute or so, you can smell that burnt clutch smell afterwards.

So a mechanic had one fiddle and said, clutch is burnt out - so i said, are you sure, he says yes - so i have a new clutch coming to put into the car.

But my concern is, that the car was found only 1km from where i had it locked up, and the tyres show no signs of prolonged burnouts etc, and there isn't mud all over the car from any paddock action. Before the car was taken my clutch was jsut fine and never slipped.

So my question is - Can this just be the clutch, how can they burn out a clutch so completely in such a small space of time. Someone suggested maybe its the throwout bearing - this comes in my new clutch kit - but i have no idea how they work....

I'm just concerned as i had like $0 before this all happened, and now i've had to spend $1200 just to get my car back, minus $3000 worth of hard earned audio gear.

So can a clutch die like this, so suddenly, or do i have a fecked gearbox on my hands:'(

Could someone please explain the possibilities and help to put my mind at ease - its been a very stressful time:(

    Charles
