  3. Subject: The Lone Ranger Scenario: The immediate versus the big picture- The Lone Ranger and Tonto are camping in the desert, they have set-up their tent and are asleep. Some hours later, the Lone Ranger wakes his faithful friend. Tonto, look up at the sky and tell me what you see". Tonto replies "Me see millions of stars". "What does that tell you?" asks the Lone Ranger. Tonto ponders for a minute and replies "Astronomically speaking, it tells me that there are millions of galaxies playing host to billions of stars and planets. Astrologically, it tells me that Saturn is in Leo. Timewise, it appears to be approximately 3:15 AM. Theologically, it is evident the son of rajab is all powerful and as small insignificant beings, we pale in his presence. Meteorologically, we are in for a clear and beautiful day tomorrow with a light easterly breeze in the morning. What it tell you Kemo Sabi?" The Lone Ranger is silent for a moment, looking at Tonto in amazement, then says "Tonto you f*ckwit.......Someone has stolen our tent."

  5. Take the nut of the spline and with the ball of your hand bang the wheel quite hard on the outside at 2, 6 and 10 o'clock (no not the time....). Works surprisingly well.
  6. http://www.duttonrally.com/index_nsw.php for info. 9.30 is kick off. I think they've shuffled the order of events slightly, may be the WSID bit first??? Preliminary report from Goulburn, Saturday: I went down friday night and caught the action today. Pete put on a spectacular display on the motorkhana section at the Police Driver Training Centre. It will make the TV for sure. The 31 has some issues with understeer but Duncan and Pete are still enjoying themselves immensely. Dan and Kel are ripping the track up with the Z with Kel putting in an exceptional performance on behalf of the ladies and leaving many of the blokes to eat her dust. Dan is trying his drift moves anywhere he can to get the edge on the competition. Matt and co-driver (sorry abt name) are also having a hoot in the 32. I had to return to Syd so missed the Sutton road section and the mainstreet Motorkhana. See you guys at the creek tomorrow.
  7. I think the book says engine oil - 5000k, filter - 10000k; brake fluid, gearbox, power steering, coolant - 2 years; diff - n/a. I do the engine oil and filter every 3000k or so, bleed brakes every service. Changed g/box and diff recently and coolant is due next year.

  24. Adam, if the pads are new you may not be able to rotate the hub by hand. Try spinning it with a wheel attached. You should get 1 or 2 rotations with moderate effort. Still doesn't explain the squealing, as was mentioned maybe check the shims.
  25. Scooby said the magic words "Ferodo 2500". Brendan, if you are reading this and you doubt how good these things are you need to drive my car. Also, what spec is your brake fluid and when was it flushed through (if at all)? After the car sat around for so long it would be a must do item.
