  4. Yes, the cars are moving so we need supp. regs, officials, etc.
  5. So you'd be cruising in the twin turbine vehicle running ~400psi that does 0-100 in about 6 sec then?
  6. lol! yeah the magistrate would probably agree with you! :bahaha:
  7. Oh that's cold Ming....you cut me deep Gradenko, try FOX studios too if you're over that part of town (near city, eastern suburbs).
  8. WooHoo! achieved 100% of what I posted.
  9. Well it may have a drive system based on ATTESSA but it's still lacking an RB.
  10. The indicating when leaving a roundabout thing came in as part of the national road rules a couple of years ago. The law says something like: When exiting a roundabout you must indicate to the left, unless impractical to do so.
  11. Yep, Merry Christmas all
  12. "Chewbacca does NOT live on Endor!" gets 'em every time
  13. Ben you may just be thinking about it too much. I can't tell you how many times I bled brakes and thought "oh the pedal feels crap" only to get out and use it and realise they were fine. Give it a little while to get used to, my pedal feels pretty light, but they do kind of bite straight away....
  14. OK. I just read part of the original thread. I will be cocntacting Dave tomorrow to explain that this was NOT an SAU NSW event, but an event organised by people on the skylinesaustralia.com forums. It seems the line between the forums and the Club has been blurred and the Club's name is now the worse for it.
  15. Sorry to hear Motoconcepts took a bath on this event. People who say they are going to show up and don't are a major problem. Deposits to secure a place are the only way around this. Now if they didn't have the deposits then maybe they shouldn't have run the event. Provided Eastern Creek don't/haven't changed the cost of hiring the skidpan Club events can be run with about 30 entrants and cost about $75/entrant.(price subject to change without notice yadda yadda ) The Club can do it cheaper as the insurance is considerably less, no wages to pay, no major profit required. B-man, I can see the merit in your idea of the $75 club deal but if people didn't show on the day then they're unlikely to pay $25 for an event they didn't attend. We can do precisely what you suggest if anyone is interested in joining the Club this way.
  16. Damn you guys that are allowed to get a Stagea!!!!
  17. police are...oh forget it....
  18. Hey BACKUP, why don't you combine your talents of hanging around a servo with employment at said servo. Then you'll be able to pay that $3000 insurance premium no worries. They say if you find a job that is something you like doing you'll never work a day in your life.
  19. hmmm....did I see kinks in a 31 today??? thought you had a pulsar Geoff??
  20. At least you are thinking, "now what's going on here? that doesn't feel right". It sounds like you are already a better driver than before as you are questioning what is happening. Getting out on a track (read:safer environment than a public road) and feeling what your car will do in different situations is what all drivers should be doing. Not only when they are brand new to driving, but for anyone who holds a license. It's one thing to be able to do a hill start, reverse park and a 3-point turn and pass a driving test. But how do you find out what the car is going to feel like when you approach it's handling limits? By handling limits I don't mean bombing through a sweeper on the old road doing a ton in the old language either. It's quite easy to lose control of your car in a woolies carpark given the right (wrong) conditions. If you know what it feels like approaching the limit, and can practise this in a controlled environment, when the time comes to do it in real life (and it will) you will hopefuly avoid an accident. There are plenty of books around on driving technique. Motorbooks at Cremorne would be a good palce to start, christmas is coming up and your parents are probably going "what are we going to get BACKUP this year? he's so hard to buy for all he does is whore SAU...". Also, there are a number of driver training schools out there who can start you on the basics and progress to the more advanced courses. Another christmas solution. Honda have HART at St Ives and the other schools operate from the various race tracks. Another thing to do is go along to one of the skid pan days in Events. Very minimal wear on the car and you can try out diferent things and see what the car will do without worrying about hitting a tree/power pole/pensioner. There's always plenty of others around who are more than happy to show you a few pointers. Good luck!
  21. Ben, I'm using Netscape 7.1 and apart from the buttons at the top (user cp, etc) not going full width all the rest is displayed.
  22. As was mentioned the ability of the brakes to repeatedly slow the car after multiple applications is the main benefit of upgrading a braking system. I bet the stockies felt pretty cr@p after 25 applications, and with 40' to go you'd still be going fast enough for some serious damage. Wheels also play a major part in helping the brakes cool by heat soak through the contact face of the disc and the inside of the rim. Think of the surface area of a rim compared to a brake disc and where it's positioned wrt the slipstream. The other benefit is reducing unsprung weight with an aftermarket system. So not only do you get a braking improvement, but handling will be better too.
  23. May I just say how great the new forums are to use. :uh-huh: Talk about user friendly! Onya PranK et al!
  24. Oh yeah...no squeal, work cold, very little dust, blah blah
  25. Carlo, don't muck around. Get a set of these pads: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...880&postcount=6 Remember when we were rapidly approaching turn 2 and I hit the anchors and you said something like, "whoa! what brakes have you got in this thing???" Ferodo DS2500s With the club discount at RaceBrakes and the use you'll give them it'll be money well spent.
