  1. Up until a couple of weeks ago the only other computer I had purchased new from a shop was...you guessed it...a Microbee 16! ahh the memories, loading some state of the art (read: crap) game from cassette tape for 1/2 an hour only to have it crap out in the last seconds and having to start again. The hours playing Emu Joust or Four.... I think our toatser has more computing power thean the 'bee ever did.
  2. Eastern Creek, Oran Park, Wakefield Park WSID. Skidpan and tracks. Can't go wrong.

  8. 1 very tidy R33 available http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...ead.php?t=67263 18,900.00 AUD = 14,697.66 USD + shipping and handling etc
  9. which one of you is the wife?
  10. umm...wrong. The Oz $ is the highest it has been in about 10 years against the greenback. This was not the case a few years ago. JamesSC, I'm not in IT but alot of our friends are. At your level you would probably not have too much problem picking up work based on how often they jump to new/better jobs. are you on the coast in SC? or in the hills? Blue Mountains are a fair trade for the Blue Ridge, and Northern beaches are the same for Charelston.

  14. RENEW have informed me that they are sending a cheque for ~$1200 to us as this is the profit they would have made on the day. Our arrangement with them is that the event should make a profit before either club does. So it looks like we lost ~$1300 on this one. Big thankyou to Brad and the others at RENEW.
  15. It's a bummer for sure. MC were not expensive (compared to all the others) at all. I did a number of ride days with them too and they were all well run. ARDC will never have me as a member. :hellpisd: Condolences and thanks to Dave and Tracy. Hope they get another venture going in the future. On behalf of SAU NSW members I'd like to say thanks as well for always looking after us.

  17. Adrian, as I said "Feel free to step up to the plate for a position on the Executive Committee at the impending AGM...". You may get lucky this year.
  18. Thanks Duncan for saving me from dredging back through the WSID day threads, that is my recollection as well. Adrian, as Duncan said the first track event we ran made a profit, this one did not. Feel free to step up to the plate for a position on the Executive Committee at the impending AGM as you obviously feel passionately about these issues. It's good to see some concern for the club.
  19. We were committed to half the cost. When you hire a track you have to pay for it. If we had more than the minimum required entrants to break even we would have made a profit (like last time).
  20. Glad to hear someone made it and had fun Jason. Brad and the Renew guys run an excellent day.
  21. Yes it is Richard and no I can't make it due to work commitments.
  22. I don't know of any entrants from SAU NSW. It looks like the club will lose about $2k on this event so any entrants are most welcome!
  23. I think E/C put out a tender for only 1 operator for drive/ride days.
