  1. More speculation is that if it does come here it will only be the n/a V8 auto. Australians' preference for auto cars these days and the small market means we won't get both. The auto will only come with the V8 (that's the word at the moment). It would be marketed as a luxury coupe like an SC430 I would imagine, not a Porsche beater.
  2. Minh I would have come along but I've got a family Christmas thing on. Hope you get a good turnout buddy. :uh-huh:
  3. Thanks Minh I crack myself up...:bahaha:
  4. Actually Dan...right after I posted "Approval from Nissan has been given. " Nissan called back and said the Legal Dept. still had not given the OK. I didn't want to post anything further until we heard back from them. We have an agreement from them to use "Skyline" for the club. Apparently the name is owned by Nissan Japan and licensed to Nissan Oz. The document is in the hands of the SAU Legal Dept. at the moment and as soon as Marty Di Stasio figures out if "the vibe" is OK we'll be set. :uh-huh: Shell is doing a great job with the membership forms and getting the cards ready. Looks like we'll be taking members at the cruise on the 14th and the Track day on the 19th (and by mail anytime around then). Thanks for your support and encouragement.
  5. Amen! to what Minh and DON91E said! :uh-huh: You guys have gotta come to a Northside meet. Nothing much happens but it's all good. this says it all (my thread which DON91E dissed....) http://forums.skylinesaustralia.com/showth...p?threadid=6973
  6. LOL! :bahaha: But seriously...it's a real issue knowing who to trust when you take your car to get work done. Do you ask a million questions and piss them off or just have faith???
  7. Justjap because they support the club. www.justjap.com
  8. Date please?
  9. heh, this is an idea for an Event (and a damn good one) so it's moved to Events I was going to organise the very same thing...me tips me hat to you Joe YEAH ANDO! SUPERKARTS!!! :uh-huh: :burnout:
  10. Heh, never said you did :(
  11. Glad to see your fine example to the rest of us fatz. We should all endeavour to stick to the speed limit.
  12. Oh yeah...one more thing. We need a private Admin/Moderators area to be able to openly discuss issues without having to worry about "pus5y footing" around what we are trying to acheive. This is the same as conducting a private conversation with someone. It would be ludicrous to suggest that we post a transrcipt of all conversations about the forums and the Members as well.
  13. Merli, as I hope you, and everyone else who is part of SAU would already realise, any vent or rant put in a constructive, sensible manner will be dealt with by us in a similar fashion. There is a law of the universe known as "Entropy" which you may all well be familiar with. Eventually eveything will devolve to it's most base form. In any anonymous, open forum such as this it is almost impossible to fully control what is posted. The best we can hope to do is get the respect of all who contribute so they don't "s**t where they sleep" as it were. The pace, or even if, it turns sour is up to all of us. If there was a "Rebel" forum started up they would face the same problems down the track. How many times have you seen it happen before??? Let's just make this one work. As far as the removal of Posts/Threads goes it's a necessary evil. Like it or not we have to have standards. There are many reasons for this including legal, minors visiting the forums, off topic etc. Call it Nazism, Fascism or Communism....whatever. IMHO, these are all totally inappropriate descriptions of what happens here. Anything that is posted is so trivial in the scheme of things ( by it's very nature of being on an anonymous forum) that being compared to the perpetrators of genocide and persecution just doesn't mean anything. If you have read through this thread all this way then you probably have enough of an interest in the running of the forums to probably not part of the problem anyway. To echo the previous sentiments, can't we all just get along???

  16. Steve the dba catalogue states : R33 GTS Single Turbo 2.5L 8/93 - 7/98 F 926 296mm Dia, Min thickness 30mm, New 32mm same as the R32 GT-R. So the R33 GTS25t definately had 30mm discs?
  17. Very much so! I'm going for a Bex and a good lie down... Never a wiser word spoken...
  18. So the 32mm and 30mm are the same part no. Steve (i.e. DBA 926)?

  20. Well judging by the results I should have come along and run my car. I wouldn't mind 160+ RWKW and $40 is a cheap way to get it!
  21. Squizz, any hardware store can do a key for a 180B.
  22. YO88O, well worth bringing it up. I have this condition on my policy, but my car rarely even sees the stars let alone be parked anywhere other than the garage overnight.
  23. Dan, I shall be present but I don't know if I'll run. May just take photos etc.
