  1. Trade from racebrakes were $238 fronts and $262 rears  I think they were the prices. $500 all up anyway...:uhh:
  2. DON91E and tactic, you should have come up and said hi. Did one of you own the Blue 32? Duncan, I'll send you the temps later. Sorry I didn't make it to the pub this time (again!) guys. That traffic looked like a turd and as it was I was late for dinner.
  3. Just to be clear on the CAMS issue, initially we will not be CAMS accredited. We decided it is better to start taking members and then get CAMS happening a little down the track (heh, see the pun there??).
  4. For those interested in such things, I put in a set of Ferodo DS 2500 pads front and rear before the track day yesterday. WOW they are good! No fade on any of the laps I did. I also had the discs machined before putting the new pads in. What a difference this made! Even with the old pads the brakes felt much much better. Well worth it and highly recommended. Give Reece a call at Any Disc and Brake on 0418 249 166. He only does the North Shore I think, and will do home jobs on the weekend. For $45 you can't afford NOT to do it. If you don't want to take off your wheels and calipers yourself give PR Technology at Brookvale a call on 9905 6316 and they will quite happily arrange it for you! (shameless plug for mates workshop ).
  5. Thanks for the feedback guys. I went with an O2 RUSH panel filter from UAS for $78. The result is I can now wind the speedo off the clock at Eastern Creek. I also deduced from this that the speed limiter has been removed from my car. :burnout: Oh, and DS 2500s ROCK! :headbang:
  6. No Steve, thanks for YOUR time. It was good to put a face to the name. Dino
  7. Duncan, I'll be there but I may be late (very likely). Just spent $1 768 934.29 on new brake pads so I'm not going to miss this one. I'm bringing a pyrometer as well for those who want to see what their tyres etc. are doing. :burnout:
  8. Well if you weren't driving a 180B you'd get there much earlier :slap: Yep I agree, keep 'em in a small cage with the door locked.
  9. My stocko did 136 rwkw, only mod was running 11 psi with bleed valve instead of stock ecu control. I have been told by those who know that this equates to around 187 kw at the fly. Squizz's rule of thumb is right.
  10. Yep Shannons were going to insure me. 34 yo, clean record, low km/year. Might be an age thing???
  11. Actually I'm quite happy with the engine in the X-Trail (QR25DE). Not bad for a truck engine.
  12. Don't you mean: mmmmm 2 more cylinders!
  13. So was much happening at Eastern Creek today Julian?
  14. OWNED......Again! On a serious note, some will run out of skill before others, but if someone is driving with the wrong attitutde then it's only a matter of time before they are going to have an accident. Unfortunately they may well take out innocent bystanders along the way. This is what the idiots don't understand...:uhh: There was some twit on mIRC the other night talking about how he was doing 150 along Parramatta rd. I can't think of anywhere along there 100 would be safe, let alone 150... Was it Dirty Harry who said: " A man's gotta know his limitations" [Mike Moore]Hmm I think there's something in that for all of us...[/Mike]
  15. skyzerr, for those of us fortunate enough to live in Sydney they are the cheapest I've found. Shannons come a close 2nd and Suncorp behind them.
  16. BWAHHAAHHAHAH! Oh sheet! If you put it like that Duncan... :uhh: Yep I agree at the end of the day we're all here for the same reason...good hairdos :bahaha:
  17. OooooH! Comeback! What are you gonna do? Give me a perm?
  18. We will set up a cruise/bbq to sign people up en-mass. Just sorting out forms etc. The CAMS license is a Basic Club license which allows you to compete in timed events, eg. Supersprints and Motorkhanas, but not races. :burnout:
  19. She means a financial member of the club, not a poster on here.
  20. Yeah well i guess it was a natural progression for the Hairdresser car: series 1 Celica - series 2 Celica - Paseo - Series 3 Celica - 180SX :shake: RB for ever!
  21. Does anyone know how to tell whether the car originally had the 296mm x 30mm discs or the 296mm x 32mm discs? Was it a series I v. series II difference? Can't find any numbers on the discs. :uhh: thanks.
  22. If the mods are legal Merli then that's OK with them, as long as you let them know what you've got.
  23. I'm not implying anything...I'm shouting it from the rooftops! Need I say anymore? Nah it's all in good fun. What people want to get up to in their own car is their business.
  24. take it to http://forums.180B.com.au :upurs:
  25. Yep Northern Beaches of Sydney Why would you live anywhere else? I believe they do all of Oz.
