  21. Any GPS will be more accurate than a speedo. Handheld, dashmounted doesn't matter. Dash speed in your boat is probably taken from a revolving sensor in the water. Susceptible to weed etc, same with the Depth sounder usually. Also the GPS gives ground speed only, where the others are speed through the water with no correction for current.
