I've been monitoring my brake pad wear for a while and if you don't punish them there's bugger all wear at Eastern Creek. As far as I can tell they are stockies. Bleed the brakes beforehand and check the car over. Let me know if your coming.

Check your tyres. There may be part of the tread hanging loose. If there is no surface cuts check the tyre isn't de-laminating as well.

I agree with all the above. It's a two way street (no pun). If you are coming up behind a slower car approaching a corner, back off and let them stay ahead. The slower car should then move over once through the corner. A slower car should not be made to take the wrong line through a corner and no passing should be done on corners anyway. :uh-huh:

MIC, a good way to do it is find an uphill stretch of road where you can load up the engine in 3rd gear. At 5000 rpm thiis is pretty quick so chose your road wisely. HYPE, if you have the standard boost control (factory) you will get an increase in boost at around 4500 rpm to about .8 bar/11 psi/570 mmHg. Below that you will only get around 7 psi.

It's very easy to drive a whole year and not lose a point. Just don't drive like a tool. :uh-huh:

Pinging sounds like a rattle when you accelerate. It has nothing to do with the fuel level. Take it to a workshop and go for a test drive with a mechanic, they'll point it out.

Dear Boxhead, thanks for your inimitable comments. I thought that would be pretty obvious to request a "sticky". I will amend the announcement.
