One thing to consider, is do you want to compete? if so, read the rules and regs for your local club. If you want to compete in the Yamaha 100s series, you will need control tyres. Most likely Dunlop Reds. But this is also dependant on your weight class. Rotax 125 is where the big boys race. 125cc water cooled, electric start. But again more regs than mid -weight Yamaha - S class. A good place to go to chat about it is Melboure Kart Centre. They will be able to point you in the right direction and assist you with what sort of kart you'll need for your requirements. How much to spend and work around your budget. They can also help you out with club memberships. But memberships are not cheap. Try around the 5-600 bucks mark. Melb Karting Centre

I've used them also. Great quality and they make it for you while you wait! Takes about 10 mins. I had to trim some of the carpet around the gear stick, but no biggy. Also their sound deadening underlay is good stuff also.

You could try a pillar less Y30. Looks very similar. Cedric, Gloria, I think the Cima as well. BTW I've got a pillared Y30 300c.

You'll need a reverse sump and pickup out of the 200ZR to fit the RB30 in it. Not sure about deck height and how close it will come to the bonnet. There is a custom sump and pickup and cross member I think on boost cruising for sale for $600 (No it's not mine)
