A good kit has a solenoid to stop water being sucked in on decel and also dribbling in due to gravity. Most kits that aren't entry level have them.

Said eveyone who's never done one. I built an internal screamer for my tx5 that I had an r33 turbo on it. It was all kinds of awesome. You just need to get it to seal.

Rubbing the lenses back and clear coating them is the best option.
