Have you got your Jap rail pass yet? If not I suggest you get one they are a bargain!! Ride the shinkansen (bullet train) to somewhere at 280kmh in complete silence it is surreal. As for wheels any big foot store or similar will have sets of R34 GTR wheels to choose from at ridiculous prices. If you are in Tokyo, Saitama is probably the best place to go to get them, about 1/2 hour train from downtown Tokyo

Just a small point but the correct terminology is double de-clutching. And yes there is little point in doing it on a properly functioning modern transmission with synchromesh. Heal and toe is worthwhile to minimise wear on the clutch assembly but mostly to facilitate the use of a "locker" type differential in rear drive vehicles, without compression lockups.

Arriving late January these cars are immaculate. Have the auction paperwork (Grade 4.5) both black. Will pass any inspection. Japanese GTR and Skyline club magazines. These are amazing quality and have enough English to make them worthwhile. For the hardcore enthusiast these are expensive but are the best. $60 ea plus post. All bets are off next year with the wholesale changes to the rules. This usually brings some interesting changes with some teams that have struggled doing better, but is hard to see anyone going close to shuweave and the red thing. The low downforce rules should make for some interesting action and perhaps more overtaking, but I think that the revelation will be Webber in the Williams!!! Front row in Melbourne mark my words!!!

What is common knowledge is that JV was paid $30m because his manager and good mate who just happened to be running BAR at the time negotiated the ridiculous salary knowing that he was about to be turfed out the door!! He got twenty percent (nice work if you can get it)!!. Richards tried to renegotiate the deal saying that if he was forced to pay him the equivalent of four Montoya salaries he would not have a drive the following year. JV called his bluff and lost!! I bet Peter Sauber isn't paying him much next year.

It was the best race of the season!! What about the move by Montoya on Schumacher in the bus stop!!!! Hate to say it but D.Coulthard should retire!!! The move on Klien was pretty average. Raikkonen is the business and apparently Ferrari are trying to get him when Schuey gives it away!!! See there is NOTHING wrong with F1, most of the time it is the shitty tracks they race on that makes it boring. Long live Spa Francorchamps.
