The rail pass is a good idea if you plan on using the shinkansen a lot. That was one of the highlights of my trip going through Yokohama at warpspeed on the way to Mt Fuji, worth the flight all by itself!!!. If it was winter I would suggest going to see the snow monkeys in Yudenaka( near Nagano) truly amazing experience. The onsens at Atami are pretty special too!!!

Race seat for sale
relicr31act replied to relicr31act's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Just has alloy mounting brackets can send you a pic that will show you what I mean. -
Unknown brand, fibreglass shell in pretty good shape. a little worn where your bum slides over the side getting in and out. Black in colour with alloy mounting brackets. Is no good for circuit racing as it is too old but has had very little use and would be fine for street use or the drags, drifting etc. Asking $150 for it, have pics that I can send.

Are u in a rush? I have two black 89 GTR's coming in December, both have been checked at Nissan dealer in japan and are immaculate, grade 4 one owner cars. Both are completely stock although one has 17" Volks alloys. If interested PM me.

Sorry also do you have the paperwork, boxes etc?
-
This might be a stupid question but here goes anyway. Will they fit into the front doors of an R31 that previously had 6 inchers in it. The reason I ask is they look pretty deep. If so and you would accept $400 the pair and ship them to canberra COD I may well take them.

Saw that bayside blue R34 GTR v spec in Phillip today. SA plates, some ppl have great taste!!!

Like I said before I don't think Button had much choice!!! Previously someone said that BAR has bought his contract from Frank Williiams. I wasn't aware of that, not saying its untrue though. But if that is not the case it would explain his sudden departure to Williams. Frank must think that he is "ready" to go hard at the championship next year. Certainly a much better line up than this year for Williams, at least. Now let's just hope they can make a great car to take it up to the red thing!!!!!!
-
I would be surprised if Richards just "let" Button walk. I would think that there was a "pull back" clause in Button's contract that Williams have exercised. As for sacking JV I don't blame him. If you remember JV was being paid $US30m for his last season with BAR thanks to some extortion from his manager/mate Craig Pollock of which he got a healthy percentage one could assume. He was given the alternative of "renegotiating" his contract for 03 to something a little more realistic but refused. He then got sacked!!!Surprise, surprise. After that display I doubt you will see JV in a F1 car again. In any case he ain't that great. He can win in a great car, so what!!! Champions win in cars that aren't so great. The battle between Button and Webber next year should be something!!!!

Embarrassing newbie question...

Listen to Mrblonde he knows da shit!!!!! -
About 3 years ago. Him and his girlfriend at the time walked away with hardly a scratch, the pilot and copilot not so lucky if my memory serves me right?
-
I hear Minardi may be looking for someone!!! LOL The best bet is Jaguar or retirement. If I was him and had walked away from an aircrash where my learjet broke into two pieces I would be taking things easy, so he is definitely tough!!!!!!

I think that we easily forget exactly how Michael won his first 3 world championships. Illegal traction control with the Benetton which then found its way into the Ferrari. Also the fact that he had no qualms about taking anybody out that looked like taking "his" world championship. Ask Damon Hill and Jacques Villeneuve what they think of "Schuweave". No doubt he is a very talented driver in a very good car which will always be a difficult combination to beat. I just hope that when he has retired ppl don't forget there was a darker, less desirable side to his character. The only reason ppl are starting to forget about it is that the combination of him and the red car has been so dominant that he hasn't had to resort to "demolition derby" tactics to beat opponents. I hope that he doesn't retire for a while yet as I would like to think that M.Webber has what it takes in the right car to stick right to him!!!!!!! Go the boy from Queanbeyan!!!! It's official M.Webber Williams 05

For what it is worth I heard that Williams could have had Fisi but dicked him about wanting to test JV and Mikka (wtf?) so he got the shits and signed with Renault. Good move IMO as I think that Renault will be stronger than Williams next year (just a hunch). I don't rate Fisi anyway, but the rumour is that Webber will get to kick Heidfeld's butt next year as BMW really DO want a German driver even though publicly they deny it. AHHH F1 I wonder sometimes which is more entertaining the racing or the silly season. This year I think the latter!!!!!!

thanks for that got what i needed.

Unfortunately that is the nature of f1. If you want close racing make everybody use the same engine, chassis etc. Then its indycars not f1. At the moment it is annoying watch michael win EVERYTHING, that is true, but to try and change the current situation artificially is not the way to go. Enjoy what is good about it. There was some really good racing last night, and no doubt Webber didn't do his stocks any harm at all by showing how piss weak Pizzonia really is. Don't think Trulli is on Briatore's christmas card list either.!!!!!!

cars for sale
relicr31act replied to reni's topic in Importing, Compliance, Modification Laws & Regulations
the two cars i mentioned are tucked up in bed in nippon. They will have been sitting there for ten months before they can leave. We are offering ppl a paid trip to japan to inspect and have a bit of holiday as well. One car still has shaken so can even be driven. The amount of pissing about required demands that people make something out of the deal, why would you bother otherwise. -
I am currently converting my rb30 to turbo power and ive read that the vl injectors run out of steam pretty early in the piece. I have also heard that R33 GTR 444cc injectors may well fit straight in. If anybody knows it would be a big help. May as well buy the GTR injectors instead of the Holden variety if they fit.

I went to Japan a couple of months back and helped buy two 89 GTR's. They are both Grade 4 with the paperwork etc to prove it. We must have looked at 200 cars before buying these two. Sure there are some cheap cars no doubt. But until you are actually there on the ground looking at them, it is not possible to really say what is good and what is not. We went to a "holding" yard in Saitama where there was thirty or forty GTR's. Mostly charcoal, all cheap, but !!!! And when push comes to shove its a lot easier to pick and choose here in Oz!!! There is an old saying which I think rings true in this discussion. Quality is remembered long after price is forgotten.
