  1. get a 3 guage din holder. Then put it in ur spare din slot if u have removed the factor stereo. Looks the most sleeper and still works properly. Just my opinion tho. In addition you cant get done for illegal mounting of the guages.
  2. Strut braces fit 32 Gtst yeh? 90 for the rear?
  3. has anyone had any experience with the GT3071R on the RB25DE + RB30? Power/Boost/Torque levels etc? Low mount? Manifolds etc etc any information that anyone can help me with wuold be great.
  4. ill give it a go, see how it fits. But dont want to run with it for that long like that. Would rather modify the reo again to get it to sit right.
  5. Autos get worse fuel economy due to the use of a torque converter arrangement over a direct (manual) clutch engagement as a form of power transmission. In addition you generally will have another gear to play with (5sp manual vs a 4sp auto) which can make it better on fuel eco but typically the final drive for both will be the same. This is provided if driven the same way same revs etc etc. I would go with a carolla, but only downside is that they are a tad small. Depends what your using it for as a daily. If you need to ship stuff about which is bigger than ur usual run of the mill cargo, then mayb a falcodore station wagon v6/straight 6 could be a better option. The rolla tho has excellent fuel eco, reliable as anything, aircon, and can be found under 10k. Up to you...
  6. i know! thats what i mean i cant work out why the gaps are so big! I talk to salad on Msn sometimes and he rekns he just put his on and it was ok. BUt surely there is something i cna do to at least improve how it is atm. i was talking to bezender and his bar is actually further back past the wheel arch (i.e. the end of the bar extends slightly into the wheel arch area so that the guard and bar clearance for the tyre arent even. But the overall fit is almost perfect. But i cant see how that would work on mine as the holes on the bar (at the top for the attachment to the reo) lineup with the holes ON the reo.)
  7. if you dont use the reo, teh bar sags in the middle as you cant attach the middle mounts to anything. And besides that, the reo bar is made for smaller hits. Without it one of these smaller hits could do substantial damage which could have been reduced using a reo bar. Id rather have mine there than not. Here are the photo's i sed id post. See the first one is the drivers side and it sits almost rite but still outside the guard a little. The second one is the passenger side and there is a serious gap. Last one is the vertical fit from front on which is about rite however i reckon i might move it down a tiny bit due to the indicators being a bit hard to get it with it sitting that high. How have people managed to get their sides lining up with the guard with genuine GTR bars ona GTST.?!?! BTW Scuse the dirtyness of the car-it rained last nite haha
  8. Sorry that wasnt my car i was just showing an example....ill put up a pic of how mine is sitting tommoro. I currently have the GTR Reo in there atm with N1 slots cut out which is why i cant see why it doesnt fit rite. Bezender where u located...probs best to pm bout this stuff...talk to u soon.
  9. yeh i know...i just dont see how all these guys do it...I tried adjusting teh reo bar, but generally speaking that only adjusts the virtical position and not the horizontal position.
  10. Shotgun Aircon vents if still good! Pm me asap
  11. If parting off, shotgun aircon vents if in good cond. and if someone hasnt already shotgunned. Cheers David
  12. my bad double pic post
  13. bump i need help or sugggestions! This is a genuine one but see how it fits properly on the guards?!
  14. Im looking for a good panel beater in SA for a mate of mine. Preferably cheap, but i know that quality and cheapness dont usually come hand in hand. Any one had any good experience wiith many places around the Adelaide area? Cheers David
  15. Power to weight has ALOT to do with it, but then again so does torque (specifically for straight line race). Its simple maths really when neglecting things like traction, driver differences, and other similar factors. But then torque comes into it, but there isnt realy a way to factor this in fairly. Fact be it tho, torque generally will help immensely in a striaght line.
  16. Your tyre profile etc etc are right so i cant see how it would have changed too much unless u mucked around with the cable. Your speeds seem about right but i wouldnt be able to tell u exactly as i have a 32, but have see my mates 33 many a times at these speeds and yours seems around the same. As Zennon said, best way to check is to borrow a GPS and find out how fast it says you are going...they are almost spot on but do have a tiny bit of lag (time delay) when relaying the signal back and forth between the satelites.
  17. hmm well depends on the condition of the car overall and on the install etc. However i would probs put it around the 16 or 17 mark. Depends what you think it is worth.
  18. What about washer sprayer motors etc? How much? PM me
  19. Hi all, Now iv just fitted a R32GTR Front bar on my GTST. Changed the reo bars over so its fits etc etc. However, i know the guards are thinner on a gtst compared to a gtr, but iv seen GTR bars which fit almost perfect WITHOUT GTR guards and im wondering just how some people have done this. I have tried adjusting the reo bar but all this has done is make the bar fit better in the vertical direction. My trouble is with the guards, where the bar sits too wide on the guards. Any help would be appreciated. Cheers David
  20. mmm can be many things depending on the severity or type of noise. Im 100% adament tho mine is the yoke on the slave. Im going to take it off and take her apart and grease it all up to the best of my ability. Let you know how it goes.
  21. This is quoted directly from their website... Redline Lightweight ShockProof® A unique gear oil designed to lubricate racing transmissions and transaxles which see serious loads (not recommended for most syncro-type transmissions). It has excellent low-temperature flow which allows easier shifting when cold. May be used to obtain maximum power transfer in racing differentials which do not see high temperatures. Similar to a 75W140 gear oil, but with the lower internal friction of an SAE 30 motor oil. Used in most road-racing differentials with moderate power and dogring racing transaxles. I have herd the exact same things about syncro wear, hence why i do not use it in my car. IMO Castrol brands are the cheapest and the best form of lubrication for diffs and gearbox's but each to his own.
  22. interested in wing. 75 pickup? Any pics specifically of the paint chip etc? PM Me
  23. hmm i reckon ill just take her apart and grease it to all buggery. Failing that i will just put up with it i guess.
  24. Saw a nice 32 GTR, RBO-026 on Portrush rd look like he was heading to the Parade, but coulda been anywhere. Was in the old boys Merc. Nice plates i may add and cheaper then most others round im thinking.
