what $100 a rotor no way, i charge $12 a rotor, thats all 4 for $48. any good machinest would be able to tell you if they are able to be machined. if you were near the gold coast would be able to help you out.

yeah i like to help out other members, but with a new machine costing 12k it might be a while off. also disc brake prices are now $12 sorry but cutting tips have gone through the roof, stupid economy. either way still the cheapest around.

i could probably do it depending on the size and pitch you were after. im located on the gold coast and when you were needing it done.

there is one that has been recommended that i would not use, will not mention but has been lissted a few times. i had my machining done there, and i had to get another shop to do a quick job on my crank and they found the crank had 8thou run out, the crank was full of metal and had not been cleaned, my block had marks in the bores from the hone being dragged out and 2 welsh plugs missing from the oil gallerys. the big ends on my rods were not true. all up i had to sepnd another $1200 to fix everything I do highly recommend John Wilson Engineering at southport. hell my rb20 revs to 9k and makes just over 400rwhp. cant complain

Its how i have always been, i never seem to charge enough, just feel like helping people out and in turn they help me out. I dont have an hourly rate, i just charge what i think is reasonable. so yes i am probably short changing myself.

Thanks, i think its more i enjoy the work esp on imports, i know the feeling when a $70,000 truck engine gets damaged due to over looking something minor, it happens to the best.

just because its cheap doesnt mean its a rushed job, and yes if damaged was cause by my mechanical work then i would be liable for those repairs, it was just an offer, remember i dont have overheads to cover like big workshops. Im located at the Gold Coast.

I can do it for you, $200 plus parts. Im a qualified mechanic. i have built many RB engines including all of my own. i highly recommend a gates belt and if your idler and tensioner make any noise at all they need to be replaced. this is also the time to do the water pump as suggested before. also this is the time to check cam seals and front crank seal in oil pump as they are easy to do while doing the timming belt is off.

Just wondering if anyone on the Gold Coast or near by has an engine crane i could borrow just for sunday so i can put my engine in. any help would be great thanks. will leave leave something for the return of the crane.
