  1. How would my 3040 with a 1.06 rear housing compare to a 3582 with a 0.82 in hp rating and response? I can handle another 500rpm of lag if it means the possibility of making my power goals.
  2. I hope there will be a few RB20s there, i ran a 12.24 at jambo, it was a poor launch and should of run a high 11. doing a few more mods now and should have another 100 - 130hp and few suspension changes, could it be possibe for a RB20 R32 to run a 10????? Whats the latest i can enter and pay?
  3. i put a 26 box behind my 20, they have a 4 bolt flange to a 6 bolt so was easy for m to measure, its a 1 piece shaft its only 1052mm long and will handle what i can throw at it. i used gibbs truck parts, but also helps when you would in the industry and have seen how good there work is and the torque they can handle.

  7. 48 teeth on crown wheel 11 teeth on pinion wheel 48/11= 4.36 so your diff ratio is 4.36:1
  8. thats all very interesting, as we all know the old faithful 20 is not the best choice for power, but ive always wanted to know just how much a 2o can make when its a built engine, i think the limiting factor will be the valves and ports buts that when the nitrous will come into play. do you think i should remove the 26 intake and tb's and go for a longer runner and larger 8omm tb option. i had never thought about a td series turbo, always thought they were a bit old school with response. maybe a BB TO4Z?

  15. I currently have a GT3040R .82 on my rb20 which i believe is a GT3082R? I’m currently running 21psi and plan to screw in another 4-5psi, is this still in the efficiency map for this turbo? at the moment the engine is making 10hp/psi and has made 371rwhp @ 7300rpm at what point would you go a 1.06 rear housing or would you go a GT35R with a .82 rear. what is the difference from the obvious? what are these turbos rated hp wise with the 3 different rear housing options? what would the response/lag difference be between each combo for a reference im making 5psi @ 4300rpm and ramps hard to 5500rpm making 17psi what would be the next step with the turbo, my goal is another 50-70hp Thanks Luke

  18. I got a 33 canister, half the size and its now up near the brake booster where throttle cable comes through the fire wall as the breather pipe from fuel tank is there.

  22. well there was many late nights last week and dyno problems on thursday, engine apart on friday afternoon then back on dyno friday for run in and tune, still had problems and boost leak somewhere could only push in 21psi but managed 370rwhp out of the 20, had a shocker on saturday, couldnt get it to launch, best was a 13.1 then with a it of testing with the clutch in staging lanes on saturday morning i ran a 12.2. but broke out on a 12.6 dial in. 11s here i come.

Knock sensors, you get 1 rev to red line then it will retard once its gets to a certain rpm untill the ignition is turned off then back on. to check this, just turn engine off while moving then turn on again and rev right through to red line to see if its gone and then returns on next gear rev to red line.
