  1. Glad someone's not arrogant. it was a simple question, maybe to simple for some. and to add i have found a gtr box that has been converted and had new syncros, and also another gtr box with tailshaft for less than 1k. for those that say they would never touch one i would rather listen to some one that knows a bit more. There advice its a better option than a 25 box and proven.
  2. I have decided to sell my spare RB20 gear box rather than keep it while waiting for my current one to break. I had it pulled down and had second gear syncro replaced. has not been used since, has been in shrink wrap. $500 located Gold Coast. i will put on courier at buyers cost.
  3. why is that? will a rb20 clutch fit on a 26 box input shaft? will a 25 tail shaft fit in the back of a 26 box?
  4. I can see the point when i dont have a money tree, Hmmm $350 for gears that wont fail like stock ones, or risk leaving stock ones in there. Easy choice for me when im on a budget.
  5. and you have peace of mind. so this would be a better choice than a N1 pump, could you compare these gears to Nitto pump?
  6. just what i wanted to hear, and $250 less its an easy choice. thanks for all the info.
  7. Ive been looking at up grading my oil pump from stock and always wondered about these billet pump gears http://www.kec.com.au/index.php?option=com...&Itemid=327 they are around the $600 mark, has anyone used them, at what point would you consider the need to upgrade. would 350rwkw @ 8000 rpm in any RB engine be safe with standard pump and shimed spring?
  8. but if i can come across a 25 box for around 1k - 1.1k i would get one.
  9. Ive heard a few people converting a GTR box to rwd, how hard is it? the welding wont be a problem, but not sure whats involved with the guts of the transfer case, also will a 20 clutch fit or is the gtr box input shaft bigger? Thanks Luke
  10. so why does every one go for a 1 piece shaft, is there anything wrong with leaving the front part 25 and rear half 20?
  11. wasnt a personal attack, yes i have been there done that, got in lots of trouble with the fuzz lost mates due to there/others driving and now look back and realise, HOW STUPID WAS I. Take it how you want. meeting up is good untill the fuzz comes then everyone is a hoon no matter how old.
  12. Tomei pon cams dont need adjusting, there a drop in and forget. very easy. so 0 is correct for them. was hoping to save some time on the dyno. well whats a few more hours.
  13. ok, i was going to give it a go then go from there, DVS32R do you have the same cams?
  14. I have a RB20 with hks step 1 264deg 8.53 lift cams, does anyone know what these should be dialed in at, i brought these second hand and didnt get the paper with them. Thanks Luke
  15. I think racing belongs on the Track, the streets are not race tracks, its where my family drive. Keep it where it belongs.
