  1. Just saw the post I put up in 2002!! Nearly 10 years ago.. I'm going to correct what I said all those years ago, some clutches do rattle from the get go, the current car has a new HKS twin plate in it and its quite rattly with the clutch in. And bugger with the throw out bearing, its quite possible the clutch is well on the way out too as the clutch and bearing are usually replaced at the same time.
  2. Looks like a fuel pump dropping resistor. It slows the speed down of the fuel pump under idle conditions most likely for noise, emissions and wear on the pump. Sounds like a plausable reason for your fault thats for sure.
  3. I suppose you have to verify to be 100% sure. The no abs, no rear wiper and the switch missing on the dash surround (kinda hard to see) is a good start. You would need some better pics of the chassis number. The other thing I have found is sometimes cars like this are not for sale to foreigners, domestic sale only.
  4. Not sure if your search extends to Japan, but heres a really nice Nismo. http://ucar.autos.yahoo.co.jp/model/nissan/skyline-gtr/CU0590513061/?page=5#mnc Asking good money, but seems like a very good car. Doesnt seem to be any N1s but its very hard to search sometimes.
  5. Missing the first couple of digits on the blue plate. That Falken car was the first GT-R I had ever been in back in the mid 90s when it was on display at Superior tyres in Brisbane back in the day. Left a big impression thats for sure!
  6. I thought I had some better photos, this is the only half decent one at the moment.
  7. Ill get some pics up. Its been a recent addition thats for sure, and a nail biting wait on what seemed like the slowest boat from Japan! The only thing im not taking out is the AC, I live in QLD!! Will chase up a fan controller, always amazed at what Nissan still have in stock for these cars. It has the unusual split condensor and oil cooler which I assume is factory? It all fits in the same spot as the standard cars' condensor core. Ive only ever seen it on one other car.
  8. Yes, a 92 N1. One of the 228 built. I have all paperwork, owners manual and every shaken (like rwc) from day one. Seems stock engine wise other than pod filters, exhaust and a few bolt on suspension goodies. Has had a/c fitted and a radio. Also have all the stock parts to return to standard.
  9. One for the train spotters. Been searching for one of these for quite a while.
  10. Well you can see it if you look, but its not too bad really.
  11. They also come in the Nissan trade parts magazine "Perfect Fit" which is where I got mine from. They do get folded up to fit in the mag though.. But I had mine laminated, Only cost $10 which I think is dirt cheap, and looks spot on.
  12. Interested, are you willing to ship this interstate?
  13. Can this be fasted? DR30 036466
  14. Nismo versions the chassis number starts with bnr32 10XXX, with the last 3 digits being the car number( 1 to 560) The other tell tale is the rear wiper as Nismos had none.
  15. I have heard that import approvals are around the 5 week mark (this is for the pre 89 scheme, not sure if its the same department)from a friend of mine who has just got some approvals through. When the $50 is taken from your account thats when they start the application process from my experience earlier this year. Was just over a week before I saw an approval in my case.
  16. Cant tell you about the options, but its definatley a Nismo, if the chassis number starts with a 10XXXX, your particular one is number 32 out of 560?ish Plus the model number ends in RA. Nice find.
  17. S13 units wont fit. The rb30 and 25 stuff will bolt up ok though.
  18. The .17 means GT-R with 17 inch wheels aka Vspec. The model number ends in ZN which is N1. Stupidly rare car, has been auctioned in Japan twice in the last 6 months.
  19. Nice, a real Vspec 2 N1.
  20. BNR32-310531 ?

    Race R35 Build

Thanks Martin for your help over the weekend. Was a pleasure to meet you. Your experience on these cars and quality gearbox products were extremely valuable to us. We were down in the dumps a bit after the fuel fire and it was great to have some extra support. Looking forward to developing this car much further. Adrian (aka the wiring and electrical guy)

    Race R35 Build

Sure is great having an engineering firm involved heavily in the build when it comes to pieces like the wing mount. Danny from A.D.E has done a great job designing and getting the mount made is such a limited time frame. The upper element is supported via turnbuckles in the center to eliminate the wing flexing down in the middle. Truely is a work of art. The whole car is really. Edit, added pic.
