yer dude the car is stock as a rock... and pulled and dissapointing 142rwkw.. they usually get to the 170-180 mark... but mine has been pampered as well (my uncle is a bit soft) and yeah i have know that the restriction is the bannana manifold.... my mate has a worked vr gts with vn grp a twin throttle bodies and it cranks........ and they r the standard wheels, they r the same as the gts but the gts have a gts stamp on it and yeah rb25 it's not just a normal vr/vs if u see it in person u will think differenlty

yer dude.... its a VR 215i 5.7L stroker, it has every option avaliable, premium brakes, sunroof, leather, sound and only 59,000 on the clock....my unlce bought it new and i bought it off him...... i worked my ass off for 7 months after leaving high school and was tossing up between a r33 gts-t or my uncles car, but i thought long and hard and this was the best decision... but my next car hopefully will be a r33 gtr :wassup: the only bad thing is that it's auto.... .... but im still having alot of fun in it heres a pic

m8 u could be right on the xr6.... i don't know about fords all that well i was just giving him a ball park figure...... and it aint 50%, i think they come about 180 thats like 37% to 110... not to far off the auto 28% drivtrain loss (for a holden) and when talking holden "or fords" for that matter there r soooooo many differences from car to car..... take a SS for example iv'e seen runs from 155rwkw to 209rwkw on STOCK ls1's and my car dyno'd at 142rwkw :Oops: compared to mates with the same car's and no modifications and get constant 160's-180's.... there r so many factors as u probably know.... e.g. how 'joe blow' straps the car down, weather(or shootout mode), different dyno..... the list just goes on lol i like ur username...... not

hmmm i don't think he was quite that negative dude..... but in terms of reliability i think that nissan or (any jap cars for that matter) r more reliable than holdens or fords...... when u think about it my car stock(as is now) 5.7L V8 and 475Nm @ 3600rpm and over 400Nm is available at 1200rpm... that is a fair bit of power coming into the trans and diff and eventually something will break but if treated correctly and u don't buy a thrashed one... i think u r sweet and like rb25 said he is basing it on past experience? so he does have a point but it is his opinion....... but wat worries me about getting a skyline is i don't know wat some little jap guy has done to it and how many ten's of thousand kays he has wound back on the clock....unless actually go there and suss the bloke out

thats right and i think there offering like $4000 back when they sell one and this is because they r a crap car and r targeted to a shiat market....... they chew up the fuel and don't handle or go like a quick car.... and they look shiat 2 but beleive me when u bring in the AWD aspect into a sports sedan(like the coupe4) the blokes out there r as excited as mustard... over em

the coupe 4 is only comming out in auto only..... this months wheels have got there hands on 1 and have an article on how it goes..... by the time the HSV's get the gen4 and the awd there should(most likley) b a manual option.... and there will be a 5 speed auto comming out in the next model "VZ" comes out soon..... ohhh and my quote "9 second pass" ..... i don't think it will be easy..... i think there will be "alot" of drivetrain and weigh problems..... and speak of the devil my dad just said tonight he is keen on getting a XR6T..... i will have to line it up against my senator .... i don;t think i will try and convince him to go holden as the new V8's r wat detered me from getting a new one and hence why i went the old skewl 5.7L.... i think my next car will b a GTR R33 :wassup:

i c ur point and i spose ur right althouh the genx kit for the gen3 (supercharger) costs $4500 and with a bit of tuning u will be running a high 10.... but if i was to spend that money on a new car atm it would be a xr6t .... it would be a much nicer car to drive to i think.... but u still can't beat that v8 sound... i agree and i think ford r wining atm and with the arrival of the typhoon they will jump even more ahead .... but u just wait i will let u on a bit of an insight the coupe4 (awd v8) comes out next month... this kicks off the holden awd then late this year the VZ HSV's come out with a 6.2L gen4 350kw (not confirmed yet) then not long after that there will be AWD 350kw HSV's, even the ss(6.0l gen4) get the AWD.... so there will top Aussie beasts running around town..... and then u have the fools that will wack the fatest supercharger onto the side and will probably see a easy 9 second pass......and hopefully have the handling of a GTR :flamed:

the fords XR6T and XR8 will have around the 160-180rwkw stock ..... they r similar power figures to the holden GEN3 (LS1)..... alothough the fords r ALOT slower, they weigh about 200kg more than holdens similar make.... XR6-100-120 rwkw s(ecotec 3.8l) 100-110rwkw ss(gen3) 160-190rwkw HSV-GTS,clubsport, senator,grange 180-230rwkw (heavy car tho) ATM go XR6T they r easy to get power from and r pretty reliable, but if u want that V8 sound go gen3 with just bolt on mods the boys at (www.ls1.com.au) r running low 12's.......... and 11's with a stock bottom end.....gen3 can have a piston slap problem so make sure u suss it out b4...... if u go the boss XR8 engine u just wasted $60,000, u need to take the engine out to put extractors on and if u drop a spanner in there u won;t get it back out....

im 18 and i wouldn't get one because of insurance and reliablility (stories), even tho i pay $2000 pa for my HSV Senator..... i would only get a gtr and ummm insurnace would be a problem and f**kwits stealing it
