Aiming For 450rwkw R34 Rb25det Neo, Idea On Parts Please!
hyper-gear replied to xntrq's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
If this is my own car and Assume that you have't bought any parts yet. Get 8.5:1 CP pistons and cosmetic MLS head gasket, that allows you to run extra bit of boost and timing working with pump fuel. Steam pipe high mount manifold with a big 50mm external gate 1000cc ID injectors Walbro 470L/H pump (remember to rewire) 3540 turbo is laggy turbo a RB25det, But working with P98 fuel, it must have a large exhaust end. I will be recommending our VNT SS Alpha - 4, Which probably get you there with 25psi full boost by 4100RPM No return flow intercoolers, it will get you no where and add extra lag from unnecessary length pipping. Use PWR or a Plazamaman cooler kit, or JJR's cheap cooler piping with a 600x300x100mm cooler will do. I would be using Adaptronic or Haltech plug in ecu. -
My old test car . I would spend my $80G on a F430 instead, not a R33. Engine package cost about $9G including parts and labor, fully reconditioned it from head to bottom. The gear box has been fully rebuilt. It is a solid package that never broke down (apart from the injectors). Assume it is welly maintained, she's not a bad car.

mmmmmm nope The new FGs are better, But BAs needs alot of work.

Yes, this is the usual machined Vband assembly, but I can machine them in to different length or sizes upon request.

If its for a Neo motor, I will recommend our ATR43G4SAT model. That turbo wold be good enough to hit close to 350rwkws pump internally gated. Cost same as the G3, you can find it on our site under the ATR43 page. cheers

With the new SS2, the original print is based on the 21U high flow, except I have the freedom of using larger internal gate and different types of wheels, it is very promising. The Rb26 ATR45SAT result, is from a unopened Rb26 engine using factory cams and cam gears. It drives extremely well on road, picks up boost nice and early in low gears and respond extremely well to throttle just like stock turbos. This turbo is designed for standard RB26 engines. By adjusting cams gears, responds should be improved that could possibly match the standard T25s.

I'm looking for a R32 Rb20det test rig. But budget is $8G. Please let me know if my offer is considered. -
Building An Rb26 For Response....
hyper-gear replied to Antimatter's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
LoL Rb25det is obviously more responsive due to VCT. Drop it on a RB26 with factory cams and cam gears and you will be horribly disappointed. Saying that I do find my rb25det makes more power then the Rb26 using the same turbo with better response. I think if they bolted the same amount of gears on a Rb25det Neo and dropped it in to a GTR, it will provide better result. So I bought a R34 GTT today. Lets see what it does on a Rb25det Neo motor. -
Some intercoolers restricts, and I've found that with my stock GTR cooler as well. I've posted few examples here, Do a log with boost sourced before the cooler and see if that matches the reading on the sheet.

Kinugawa Td06-25G On Fresh Rb25 S1
hyper-gear replied to jdm32r's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
T67 is a mismatched Taiwan copy, not Jap at all. By looking at the curve, it is horribly laggy, and very little power on E85 fuel. First of all need to sort out boost control issues by installing a much larger gate. Check your cam timing and make sure they are in the right spots, if that is wrong it can cause unexpected turbo lag and lose in power. I'm using Heltech platinum Pro ecu on my GTR, there is a option in the software for VCT. Experienced tuner would have had that sorted, a easy way to test it, is to see if any differences in drive ability with the vct plug removed. -
Yes definitely can. Its not so much of a turbine wheel, the rear housing doesn't have enough materials in side allowing the correct blade radius. I'm in the process of custom making a T3 .58 turbine in to a SR's T28 pattern. Once proven then we can technically custom any T3x printed turbine housings and use any of the customized wheels made so far.

R33 - Rb25Det - Thermostat Question
hyper-gear replied to REEMER_31's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Well, every detail has been stated including handling time and delivery, if the ad is not been read before purchase is made then no other person should be blamed. Its regardless wither I stated it internal or external gate, as you didn't know what they were. I'm the one whom told you what internal gate and external gates are. Doing high mount and external gate, It will be far more involving then sorting basic diagnostics. Have a look at every one whom got 350rwkws+ on a proper setup. They know they their skylines, their fabrications and modifications. I own skylines for 6 years and I've rebuilt it twice, knowing the car inside out, my car pulls 490rwkws, and I've been helping members here getting their results. No offence, I don't think you currently has the knowledge or experiences for this sort of task. Return the G3 external gated turbo and send us your stock turbo to be high flowed. Once done have it fitted, get your car tuned, and be happy with 260 pump or 300rwkws E85 with stock driving ability. -
R33 - Rb25Det - Thermostat Question
hyper-gear replied to REEMER_31's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
After this conversation with you this evening, I'm not sure if you have much of understanding of a Skyline, Because factory Nissan skyline does not comes factory externally gated. We spent 3 days working on your order and the ad clearly stated as an externally gated turbocharger. So I have no reasons to refund or provide further services, Unless I wish to help you out instead. I believe in your situation it is probably best if we just highflow your stock turbocharger instead of building the G3 internally gated. The broken stud can be removed. So if preferred send us your stock turbocharger to carry out this service, and I will transfer the payment across for the high flow service instead. With diagnostic of your current problem, plug in an scanner, your O2 feed back should appear in a rich n lean cycle. If not check your sensor and wiring. If the scanner does not show an lean reading on throttle its highly ignition related, which I had same issue on both of my R33s. Use heat range 7 plug and gap them to 0.8 first, if problem persists, it is probably your coil packs. Replace them with proper split fire coil packs and stay away from the ebay yellow or red jackets of what so ever. If you do wish to get close to 350rwkws, you must get a proper steam pipe manifold and external gate and use the turbocharger sent with E85 fuel. Buy a proper made manifold such as Brae high mount or 6 boost, stay away from the SS ebay $350 special. -
Thanks for the support. Here is a photo of the engine bay: I do need an another manifold made to suit the VNT actuator. having 3540's power while not the lag was the main goal for the SS4. I was also hopping to reach 20psi by 4000RPMs. This one is reaching 20psi by 4100 it is also pretty sweet. The whole turbine and compressor end of this turbocharger had to be re-engineered on a different perspective compare to the traditional ATR45. Because ceramic roller bearings cartridges used no longer have bearing cages and does not require as much lubrication as steel ball bearings, I've re-engineered the oil delivery system inside the bearing housing reducing oil drag when pump pressure is high. This turbocharger is probably one of the most time consuming turbocharger built so far. Other good thing about it is the disappearance of a torque dip in 3000~3500RPM area. On road it has a very linear pull without flat spots or sudden accelerations. Definitely a satisfying out come. I will be modifying this car back to standard, there are few tricks that I have in mind with fabricating standard Rb25det exhaust manifold for greater output, while trailing a couple of different high flow profiles. Will any one high mount a factory turbocharger and run it externally gated if it is good enough for a super responsive 350rwkws+? I think the best package has already been delivered by Nissan, that is waiting to be crafted.

Sorry I'm currently in China working into the KIA project as well as some of VW turbo systems. I will be back in two weeks. Workshop is running as usual, if you can't find me over the phone please email or PM your inquiry though I usually reply within 24 hours. Thanks. The 1200cc injectors worked fine on my R33 so if any one's looking for a set of high capacity cheap dropins, they are fine.

I'm doing 490rwkws on stock plenum. its doesn't make a lot of differences. -
more like 550HP

Hanaldo's R34 Gt(T) Skyline Build
hyper-gear replied to Hanaldo's topic in Members Cars, Project Overhauls & Restorations
I mean assume if the E85 fuel that we get is similar then it only means that the 98 fuel's result is low. It remains me when I introduced Trent to China for tuning Kia sportage's ecu maps, while the map written using Australian 95 fuel knocked badly using Chinese 95 fuel. There is a difference of 2 psi in maximum boost level and 2 degrees down in timing. Wondering if the mixture of the fuel varies between states to states. I'm interested to see how a ATR43G4 or a SS4 would preform in your car there if you are interested for more power, we can do a swap it over when you are ready, just to see what sort of power level your engine might be maxing out of with a GT35 equivalent turbocharger. -
Hanaldo's R34 Gt(T) Skyline Build
hyper-gear replied to Hanaldo's topic in Members Cars, Project Overhauls & Restorations
I was reading SC48's building thread and it appears his 3076 in .82 rear with a aftermarket exhaust manifold was pulling 340rwhp @21psi. that is similar to your G3 P98 result on factory manifold. Usually by adding E85 we pickup a maximum of 40kws, a 100HP increase seems abit odd. I have few of the current G3's comp housing and wells made. If interested I can have your updated to the latest specifications free of charge.
