its like the whole reason why i wanted to go back and get stationed here... CARS race queens high school girls (hehehehe) riding the trains in the morning and seeing all these people cram up like theres no tomorrow the bozu's at night the smell during spring and fall i think even though we hate a lot of things about japan, i think thats the whole reason why we love to stay here. well i know i do. i love this place, and i dont ever wanna leave.

well ill just post my experience from the past: 1) bozusoku's passing by at 12 midnight just in the middle of the only english show on tv. 2)how the expressway gets crowded for no reason at all. 3)train transfer (hehehe) 4)(this one just happened recently)(my wife looking like japanese but shes not and cant speak the language at all) when ordering in a restaurant, i was already talking japanese, they will listen but still look at my wife because i look like a total gaijin and cant believe i can speak the language. 5)where all the people coming from during 7-8 am and 4-6 pm, i know not all of them wearing suits and ties goes to work. as far as things go nowadays i dont really have any problem, im pretty much living in 2 countries, for me being on an air base, i can get away from the japanese life and stay on base or vice versa. its a great life. 6)everything being so expensive and still getting a low a$$ GI pay.

i just had to do it, i loved that car from the moment i saw it, its like love at first sight... hehehe anyways the zigzagging in the tunnel wasnt really our idea it was miguel from newera imports idea, its for a dvd theyre making that they said suppose to come out next month, the whole hakone thing was their idea too, should be pretty good. and i thought there was no cameras in the tunnel?
-
hey thanks for the comments, didnt think it would have some that early hehehe. yeah those pics were taken in a propulsion hangar here on base, we just had to do it. i was aiming for the voltes V (the ending theme) dramatic look in the end. hehehe. as far as the hakone part it looked pretty good in person but i guess camera slows them down.

it does look like a shonan plate... hehe thats where i got my gtr -
ok heres just what i know, im pretty sure someone can explain it better. (used instead of san, ie yukio-san) senpai = someone that they look up to, like iketani is pretty much the older one so they use senpai chan = is usually what they use for kids, for girls it makes it sound cuter, like crayon shin chan kun = is what they use usually for teenage guys, ie takumi-kun

i thought green plates stands for diesel?
-
i think so too, but coz us here on US base we have different coding just to make it less complicated, they made it simple, yellow plates and motorcycles pay 3,000 yen, 500 plates pay 5,000 yen or some small number like that then 300 plates pay 19,990 yen then 300 plates with 4.5 liter engine and up pays 47,000 something yen for a year.
-
oh, ok, i wasnt so sure about the whole 300 but thats what they give us here thats why. as far as the hnr32 with an rb26 i dunno, something illegal goin on, hehehe, my friend did the same thing with his hnr and he has to transfer plates to 300.

330,000 yen, hmmm, kinda cheap, i think the ones we saw at autobacs was around 400,000, i dunno if the tires came with it. but thatll be ur rough figure is about 350,000 to 400,000 plus the shipping, he he he he. as far as used one goes, it comes and go QUICK! -
from what i heard here's how it goes, 2.1 liter engine and below is 500 plates, 2.2 and above is 300 plates, bus and trucks are 100. my wifes prelude is a 300 plate because its a 2.2 liter engine. thats the reason why r32 gts-t's and gts-4 has a 500 plate (and thats how u can tell if people just slapped in a gtr badge hehe). the letter beside it doesnt really mean anything, except for us which is Y or E or A, which denotes (supposedly) tax free (but we still pay for it though, because the base commander "insist"). :bs!:

price? you can always get them used and get it cheaper. it does come black but it is rare to find (at least i havent). we are running the same size 17x9.5 but the only difference is the tires. he got better ones i dont. haha. :sadam: just wanted to use it for no reason, hehe. -

hey thanks never really heard someone praise my wheels, hehehe, thanks. heres a picture of my car, it really doesnt do any justice coz the pic turns crappy when i resize it for forum friendly: and heres a pic of my friend mark's when the car was still back in okinawa. nothing has changed though, i think he just had the bumper installed in this picture: i was gonna get some te37's myself before but the car came with the lm gt4's so i cant complain hehe. -

yeah filling up a gt-r off base, hai oku, well i usually waste about 5,000 yen for a bit over half tank going through eneos. yes i agree shakens are really expensive, they can sometimes find the most unusual thing that is wrong with ur car (at least they do for us), road tax are a killer too, we do have to pay for it but i think its about half of what the normal people pay for, ie shaken (i dunno if it is the same) its around 47,000 yen for two years, road tax for 300 plates 19,990 for a year, which i have to pay for 2 cars so thats about 40,000 (just a round number). it does get pricey just depending what you want to do. mind that u still have to buy parts. R-34 GT-R's, STDs cost around (the cheapest i have seen) 3,200,000 yen and the price goes up as it goes to v spec, v spec II and the highest i have seen for a nur spec was about 8,000,000 yen. not sure about evo's the only evo that i have seen is an evo VIII mr around here. dunno how much though, hehe. hey btw, have u guys ever heard that nismo are trying to buy the v spec II offa people with low mileage? i heard that theyre making like a Z spec or some letter spec, and theyre not gonna sell the parts unless u get it tuned or buy the car like that? anybody heard anything like that? -

wow love that picture, nice lighting, like ur evo too, so clean. here's a pic of my bnr32 and my friends bnr32 with, look at that company, familiar? hehe btw, hey rezz, where are ur plates from? something nohe? (am i right?) -
make ur life easier, super autobacs, or go to nissan dealer and ask for a catalogue. hehehe.
-
haha! dont worry rezz they wont get as close as how the japanese does it. and yes you will be disappointed just because theyre trying so hard to produce one but just cant. i dunno about claiming it though but i know that theres quite a few that tries and doesnt even get close to what theyre trying to do.
-
just a little... heres what happened to the car Poor Guy
-
i guess so, i have never heard of a gt-r even the 4 doors to have sunroof in it. weird.
-
