  1. Hahaha, Yeah Johnny man - I go to UC - My sister goes to CIT, just gave her a lift. What course you doin there? I got heaps of other mates there doin IT and some other stuff can't remember. On the SPOTTED front: the tidiest lookin black R34 GTT heading Woden bound around Capital circle about 5pm....soooo nice - hmmm gets me thinkin
  2. Kirt's (aka KDawg) car is definately a series 1 R33. It used to be a nice Icy silver colour...now its that cool Blue. on the SPOTTED front: 2 Tone R33 booning up the parkway northbound this morning about 8.30am. JohnnyR31 in the CIT carpark & also a silver series 2 GTST as well. On the way back into Woden a stockish burgundy R33 heading along north on Adelaide Ave.
  3. ALSO SPOTTED: At around 6pm on William-Hovell...a very sleek White R33 with HKS front mount :cooldance
  4. SPOTTED: At the BP in Phillip yesterday around 5:45pm a Burgundy R33 GTST with GTR kit - I was the Gunmetal R32 on the otherside of the pump. It was kinda awkward as it looked like we both wanted to say hello but didn't. Everytime i went to give the thumbs up you looked away. My bad! Nice car tho....
  5. Yes, unfortunately there are more and more of these "posers" hanging around. What a great word boneR - totally agree with u. toby19, feel sorry for ya mate, have just had a similar experience. I wish i could get up on a podium like Jim Richards in 1992 at Bathurst and call some of these so called "poser" Skyline drivers they R a PACK of ARSEHOLES!
  6. Ok i'm not usually one to complain openly about other driving behaviour but this one got me pretty annoyed, Driving along Haydon Dr in Belco and turning onto Beclonnen Way I am nearly rammed up the arse by some d!ck in a white R31 tailgating me from the lights... Once i turned onto Belconnen Way I looked in my rear view and saw this R31 come booning up towards me then heard the screeching of his tyres due to him braking so damn hard when we got to the next set of lights which leads onto Caswell. N e way as i continue on thru the lights leading onto Caswell (road adjacent to black mountain) he proceeds to tailgate me for half the way then backs off a little as we approach the lights to William- Hovell. As the lights go green i turn off onto William- Hovell then merge onto the lane to head Southbound onto the Parkway and he keeps tailing me on the Parkway. I stay in the right lane as i'm overtaking cars - Goin just a tad below the limit while he's doin this. He then changes into the left lane and tries to overtake me, pulls along side my car, tries to overtake but gets blocked by another car. Once i've passed him, he cuts back into the overtaking lane and proceeds to tail again. At this point i've had enough and shift into third leaving an ever decreasing small white dot in my rear view. It briefly looked like he tried to catch up then gave it away. Honestly dude, what was the point of all that shit? You drive a Skyline and you resort to antagonising other Skyline drivers???? I usually brush off this behaviour from other cars but recently I haven't had such annoyment. Anyone else had troubles from ppl in other Skylines? I find this pretty extroadinary that u have d1ckhead skyline drivers annoying the rest of us?
  7. My mate used to have Pirelli p7000's on his car 255/40/17's and said they were awesome (Daily driven). From memory they were about $400 bucks a tyre (New). Personally i wouldn't go the Falkens.
  8. Folk-Festival?
  9. Fl-Oppy Dick, Cutho has dropped off the face of the planet. Not in the last 6 months. I 've seen Stiles more than him!
  10. It was an awesome cruise! That turbo charade was crazy, it went fully Italian Job style at the Carillion - I didn't know the car was so versatile. P.S. Sorry Joe for nearly setting your front bar on fire. Damn flames! Hopefully see more out at the next cruise!
  11. Yeah i'd say its one of your drive belts...probably timing belt too loose as Nizmo mentioned. I had the same prob...and had it re-adjusted - Fixed.
  12. Spotted yesterday in Chifley parked near my mates house, a very clean White R33 GTST with a full GTR bodykit - We we're in the other white R33 that pulled up slowly alongside looked like we cased the joint. Sorry if u are on these boards didn't mean to scare ya, just havin a squizz!
  13. Yeah could be a number of things.....the stalling suggests aftermarket bov...if its atmo venting this causes severe confusion with your afm. Perhaps the spring tension isn't correct - maybe adjust it and see what happens. Make sure there are no loose hse connections round the engine...could be a possible vacuum leak....There is another thread about stalling problems in General Discussions... might be worth checking it out.
  14. You really don't need the sideskirts as the GTST one's are actually fatter. Get the Front bar (A genuine one will fit...coz i have one, but you have to sorta bend it around to bolt it in...Go the Bonnet (u'll need the latch refitted), grille, wing and rear pods (All these alone will be upwards of around 4/5 grand if you get the real deal plastic items and not fibreglass re-copies as the spraying adds extra)- If you wanna be really pedantic you could go front guards as well - Don't bother about rear guards as this is a completely different ballgame!.
  15. Just to add my story...I recently bought my R32 with a HKS SSQ which is probably the most notorious of all atmo venting Bov's. Now the stupid thing was stalling up the wazoo for several months before it got fixed and no-one could work out what to do, short of removing the damn thing. Same scenario, i'd be coming to a sudden halt and the revs would drop out so quickly the car stalled...most commonly when coming to lights and or braking suddenly. It even happened when dropping to low speeds around roundabouts which was quite dangerous to say the least. My car also didn't come with a breather which is the connector hose that recirculates back into the engine from that little spout at the bottom right corner on the rocker cover. Once this was fited and in place - problem FIXED, AND i'm still running the HKS bov. Now this is just one solution. I read recently in Speed issue 9, which had a great article on Bov's. They say another symptom of stalling is possible with Air flow meter equipped cars... The following is a direct quote from an excerpt in the article.........."Another good indication of incorrect Bov adjustment is a weak spring setting where the valve can be pulled open at idle , potentially confusing an AFM-equipped car and therefore, its ECU. Fuel is added into the engine, in error and the engine stalls. Unfortunately this has the nasty habit of happening at traffic lights". My car is running an Apexi Safc also and has been dyno tuned. It used to run heaps rich, poping and farting flames out of the exhaust, but since the breather it has been a lot better. I'm assuming the HKS SSQ spring setting has been adjusted correctly because overfueling rarely occurs ( I still pop flames occasionally) but my car never stalls now. Hope this helps!
  16. Gunmetal Grey R32 GTR parked at Transact in Dickson...no plates. I know how you feel man, i can't even get into ACT rego!
  17. Dude if you still have em, what do you want for the full set of floor mats, left hand passenger air vent and left hand lower control arm? I have also pm'd you. Cheers.
  18. Kdawg's silver R33 at Gastune this morning around 10.30am. What u gettin done big fella?
  19. Anyone actually driving an 89 import of anykind around at the moment? Just would like to know how much he/she has spent thus far and if it is fully road worthy yet, condition, etc?
  20. Cool, thanks for the info SydneyKid, have been getting a lot of nudges towards the Whiteline kit actually.. Superspit - yeah thanks man, i was actually reading the other thread. Looks like the HKS setup might be a tad stiffer than I actually want. Our roads don't seem to be as good as Japan's super smooth highways!
  21. Today heading Southbound on the Parkway around 1.15pmish, a White R32 GTR, very tasty!
  22. Yesterday around 12.30 midday on the parkway Belconnen turnoff......a white R33 GTST with some weird rear bar, mesh inserts, orange GREDDY stickers and eyelids zooming away....
  23. If its a big alloy t-wing it ain't a GTR. Its a R32 GTST with GTR front bar, grille, rear pods - hard to spot at a glance. Does the one u r talking about also have stickers down the side?
