Oi Opps, Wens Brendan gonna hook us up with some free Goodberry's???....We should have an EliteSport Goodberry's day!!!!! Howz the new sticker coming along and when should i give ya tha cash man?
-
Not too sure mate. We got a couple of WRX's and another Gti-R in the club so i think Oppy would have tried to accomodate everybody. Plus I think some GTR's will be there. At a guess i'd say yes. Wouldn't be certain unless I ask John or Ops. Just come along anyway...should be a good turn out. If it isn't you can still meet some members and watch some other cars burn up the rollers!
-
That would have been the sneaky club president of EliteSport - Oppy....He works at Calvary....He's registered on here as Eliteopps....There R a couple of other blokes from Elite on here as well...John from Audiotec is our Vice Pres, he's registered on here too. You should come along to the dyno day on Saturday Poyz....all details R posted in the events section. Be good to have you there.

Anyone imported a 15+ year old car under new scheme?
GT-Rmgedon replied to esprit's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Yep this is true, except the car still has to go through rego inspection for its respective state - so it still has to comply to certain formalities....things like aftermarket exhausts may have to come off but otherwise all other mods would be fine. 89 GTR's R a bargain...couple of mnths ago there was a 32 with a fully tuned N1 R33 Race engine going for something like $25-30 k. The engine alone would have been $8-10k without the tuning. So you pretty much get a worked race car landed here plus the on road costs. Still - the age is a bit of a worry. -
Anyone who has watched 2 fast 2 furious
GT-Rmgedon replied to holdens_r_better's topic in General Automotive Discussion
It was a Nissan Maxima - owned by the wife of head tech advisor Craig Lieberman who owned the orange Supra featured as the 'hero' car of the 1st movie. Since then he has sold it and now drives an R34 GTR! Talk about good transition. -
:bahaha: Sooo true in more ways than one! EthanR32, I sooo want your car! If only it was in black:(

As far as top quality 98 RON.... You can't go past BP ULTIMATE. Most of my mates use this as it is apparently the only constant 98 RON fuel. However, not all BP's in Canberra stock it. Some carry Premium Unleaded only, don't be fooled this isn't the same as ULTIMATE. Shell OPTIMAX and BP ULTIMATE are the only 2 98 RON fuels. The others for example, Mobil SYNERGY or Caltex VORTEX, are only 96 RON - They are just Premium unleaded's. 98 RON's are what you should be using considering all japanese turbo cars are detuned to run on are crappy fuel. Although i think Premium unleaded fuels can be ok from time to time if you are really stuck. It also depends on car to car. ULTIMATE 98 is consitently good whilst OPTIMAX tends to go through bad batches sometimes (according to mates) but i've never had probs with either. Hope this helps.

Depends what u need it for? If u are on a budget i'd say R31 - coz it sounds like ur gonna go the way of the Skyline in the future. Plus parts and availability for these cars will be plentiful considering they were locally sold. Both Civic and Corolla are good options 2 (modification friendly like the old skool Skyzerr). More petrol efficient if u want 2 to save a bit of money.

Why are 34 GTR's still so expensive??
GT-Rmgedon replied to 32godzilla's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Does anyone know if the price of the incoming 15yr old GTR's Is gonna affect the price of 92-93 models already in Australia? I suspect maybe not dramatically but i have noticed that there was a general price surge round 6 mnths ago among dealers selling 32 GTR's from around 31-35k to 35-45k for clean 92-93 models. Modded one's fetch higher now. Just wondering how the demand is gonna be affected now that you can import one for around 10k less plus get all the mods u'd want. I reckon this is true. Plus the fact that the RB26 has been retired is gonna ensure that the last model GTR's R gonna be collectors items for a long time to come.In general i'm a little concerned the value of he 32 GTR is gonna suffer a tad in the next five years once 33's and 34's become cheaper and more affordable. -
R34 GT or R33 GTR V-Spec ??
GT-Rmgedon replied to iNCOGNiTO's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
I've seen 33 GTST's in Midnight Purple but not sure if they are authentic factory coloured or R customs. There is like a 40th Anniversary Edition (might B Tommy Kaira) of the R33 that i've only seen in White and the purple so maybe it isnt a GTR exclusive........Oh and just to reinterate - GTR all the way baby!!!!!!! -

R34 GTR VSpec, looking to buy.
GT-Rmgedon replied to Kris's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Is SWOOP still 4 sale?? Wow i thought some lucky bugger woulda snapped up this beauty! Black R34 GTR:drooling: I personally haven't seen N E 34 GTR's below 85k (which was the lowest private sale). Dealers R charging some 10-15k above this price. I know in R33 guise there seem to be quite as many V-Spec's floating around as normal editions. Anyone know if this is the same 4 34's? R34 GTR's come with optional TV or CD-based navigation systems for the centre screen display. So it really depends on the previous owner, if they ticked all the optional boxes. If they haven't, the centre screen display just does all the regular functions with electronic guages which can track boost, oil temp, Inlet & exhaust temp, injector readings, etc. The interior is pretty swanky now. Leather steering wheel, dual airbags (optional side impact bags). The front seats have metallic painted racing harness inserts which look awesome. The dash has a metallic aluminium surround encasing the console and instrument panel replacing the carbon fibre look of the R33 GTR. Very Sweet. I think from remembering a HPI article the GTR had better knee room in the rear seats than the GTT but head room was still an issue (oh well, compensates i guess). The trim on the seats looks very tasty, esp if the extra leather has been optioned and sport the embroidered GTR logos. -
Can't stress this enuff..Check the APEX SEALS!!!!!!!

Fastest, Nicest skyline on SAU?
GT-Rmgedon replied to GTR's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
SKYLINEGTR, thanx bro. Wish i actually owned a Bayside Blue R34 GTR. Guess a 32 GTR will just have to do...Its a hard life ... Mick Trainer, do you have any details, specs, pics of RacePace's R33? Be cool 2 have a sqizz -
:bahaha: Does this quck even exist? Who in their right mind is gonna wait around 4 years when there are ppl on here putting their hand up 2 open up a can right now? There's no challenge here. The most we can do is laugh, maybe then he'll grow some balls and throw down the challenge in this forum and perhaps shorten the pending time. Hypothetically if this even went through i think the expression on his face at the end after 1 Skyline tears him a new one will be on the new Mastercard add....Priceless.....:uh-huh:

RX7 Vs Skyline
GT-Rmgedon replied to Ryosuke Takahashi's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
The seating & ****pit of an RX7 Series 6 is awesome! :drooling: The looks kick arse too. Turns many a head and is an absolute demon on the road. Would be a match 4 an R33 GTR which looks (imho) pedestrian as a sportscar in comparison ...sorry -
