  1. First and cheapest - Check ALL Vacuum and Pressure Hoses/Pipes! Maybe one was accidentally knocked loose/off??
  2. I'm starting to think the smartest place to sell a Skyline might be on a Holden or Ford website cause they may be prepared to pay a decent price for something that craps all over what they own! C'mon guy's this R33 is a ridiculously low price! (unlike mine, but hey, I know what I have put into my GTS4!)
  3. Thats one awesome GTR, might trade in the house and wife when available for sale! -Seriously!
  4. This was out in my street and I was thinking it may be good to ask the owner if he wanted to sell it, but after your list of woes, just as well I didn't! Did look nice and original though!
  5. I seem to remember that Zoom had an article about a bleeder system that stops the FPR from seeing all the boost pressure which in turn reduces the Fuel Pressure and leans it out slightly under boost. This may be a simple but effective option, but I would only do it on a dyno to keep track of the Air/Fuel Ratio. Its similar to bleeding your wastegate for more boost, but in this case the opposite for less fuel pressure.
  6. I will probably still have the GTS4 so I will be there. Its so expensive so I wont have to sell it! Just hope the local Knox TMU person is not!
  7. Just follow the link on my sig below and go to my website listed at the bottom -there's about three pages on it.
  8. Bill Keen at ATS may be able to help, have you tried them??
  9. The Bosch 040 is an intank (044 External) and I fitted one in my GTS4 because of similar problem but turned out to be the std small Fuel Filter was clogged so bad I could not even blow thru it when taken out. Replaced it with a much larger and highflow unit from a volvo truck or something.. it was much better just harder to mount but used a 3' clamp around it and bolted to std location OK.
  10. How is it that everyone recommmends to replace the coilpacks with "Splitfire" C/Packs, but no-one ever recommends the "Splitfire" Spark Plugs as well?? Has anyone out there used the "Splitfire" special split electrode plugs?
  11. I can vouch for this guy! I bought some stuff from him and I would buy these as well if I was not selling my car!
  12. Sometimes you can pull them apart and reseat the gears but it will probably play up again in time. I had a similar problem and did mine and its still going OK after a few months.
  13. You dont say which "DOHC" ? Easiest would be to go with the orig std setup, but as someone who has built a custom Intake plenum I would say it may not be worth the expense for the gain in performance. I was never able to quantify the results from mine unfortunately as I fitted it with many other mods at the same time, but I dont think it made much diference except in looks and presentation. Though it did enhance the FMIC fitting with no unesessary longer I/C pipes etc.
  14. Make sure you give the AUDI ALLROAD 2.6TT serious consideration! Its everything you need plus more! I nearly just bought one... Mmmmm.. Twin Turbos! Invisible to Police. Can be chipped easily for another 50kw+
  15. Ball bearing turbo is std on RB20 so the oil feed line has a small hole in the banjos at each end. Replace the ball bearing turbo with a Non ball bearing turbo the both banjo ends need to be drilled out to the max inside pipe dia for more oil flow. Been there, blown that!

    Pissed Off

Just think of it this way... now they have talked to you and know your name, you may be less interested in doing something silly you you might have done if you didnt think they would know your name and address. Maybe they did you or your 30 mates a favour....
  17. Must have been one bride who did not want to be LATE! Or maybe a groom who wanted to get away on the honeymoon FAST!
  18. There is no doubt that this is a great forum with a lot of knowlegeable skyline owners that can be helpfull when you have problems, BUT I seriously think in your case you should take your car to a workshop that has nissan RB experience! Because its a conversion there are many areas that could be the problem and no-one on here can possibly take an overview of what you have and have not done in the conversion. Every one will just be taking a stab in the dark with their own favourite theory and you will just be possibly wasting time without getting at the exact cause. By all means take their advice, but get it to tuner who can definately ensure you are not just edgging it closer to a horrible demise by running it longer like it is trying to find the problem.

    So And So

Interesting that you registered on here a day or so before you posted. Did you not think it would be a good idea to register on here and ask questions relative to buying a Skyline prior to putting your money down? I also think it would not be to much to expect some photographic evidence to substantiate your claims. Both before and after. I would be willing to bet every member on here would have almost worn the paint off photographing their Skyline the day after they bought it. Its too easy to defame a business with nothing more than someones unsubstantiated claims however valid they may or may not be. If valid I certainly hope you get compensated! - Go to VCAT WITH photos.
  20. Cris, first thing I want to say is we both obviously love Nissan GTR's, or a reasonable facsimile thereof! But unlike you I am Old. As I have a few businesses and possibly the credit rating to afford one when the time comes, does that mean you will revile me and the car when you see us drive down the street because its a world GTR and not a troublesome RB variant? And I must admit that my business partner who drives a 996 AWD Turbo would laugh at me if I bought one and say "Grow Up and buy a REAL car! It's just a fancier version of that other piece of Asian Nissan crap that you drive!" And that will be the opinion of many that could afford to own one around the world. You and I may not agree with their sentiments but Nissan will be hard pressed to sway them... BTW, you will be old one day, then you to may be able to afford one.
  21. Even if it fits an RB20 the results would be pretty horrible on the road in traffic etc. because of lack of longer runners and MORE torque LOSS down low. On the strip it would be OK if everything else was modded for drags and WOT, but even then the lack of runner length would be detrimental in some way on an RB20. Just my 2c
  22. Mazda Familia GTX AWD Turbo! You will want to drive it when your Skyline is going and make her swap.
  23. Almost criminal, isn't it? Thinking maybe its the one stolen rebirthed so even its mother could not recognise it!
  24. Anyone seen this - AN R34 GTR for $6,500 !!!! http://www.autotrader.com.au/iteminfo/adnu...subs_Used+Cars_
  25. I have seen a successful rear mounted turbo setup but why?? There are other ways to make power out of an NA RB motor that would be probably legal in your case and what we used to do before turbos came along! Go Old/New school! Modify your top half of the Intake manifold to run individual tuned trumpets and up the compression ratio more. As its already an NA its prob high anyway. Fit decent extractors and new cams and adjustable gears to suit. Tune ECU. Have you ever driven a powerful NA car with razor sharp throttle response!? You would probably never put a turbo back on when your off your P's! PS, Didnt say it would be cheap!
