  1. Troy, Trouble=FUN! This is the last of my pic's, where is everyone else's?
  2. Its the only way it can flow because of the rubber plate covering all the outer holes on the inside of the filter. The oil pressure pushes the rubber out of the way and flows in through the filter element then out the centre hole. I actually use a remote filter for scrubbing the oil mist out of the cam covers before going back in the intake box as per legal, but first put it around the wrong way and laid a smoke screen James Bond would have been proud of! Then I also drilled some holes in the rubber as well so no back pressure at all.
  3. Some more from the day... hope you dont mind all those pesky wrx's taking up valuable space!
  4. Troy for an RB20 you sure do kick some asses. Glad it was not worse and we know you will be back with a vengeance again!
  5. It was great weather as well, which is typical for ANZAC day in Melbourne.
  6. Pics from the day, enjoyed by all, even brisby!
  7. I understand its for a spare, but remember you need the same rolling diameter as your other tyres if you dont want the AWD to be constantly on partially when you put it on.
  8. Would look funny too with all the fire coming from under the hood because of the burning oil After seeing the bright red tubular manifold when on the dyno at Dr. Drifts I think I better tighten mine a bit more as well!
  9. Thank's AL. Got to admit a bit of touching up done to make them better and smaller to upload. ;D Got to get a decent camera one day too might help.
  10. Well thats all I took though there was another photo taker there as well... not sure who. Anyway great cruise although a piked out at Kinglake and took the Hurstbridge road?!? home - DAMN, glad we did not come up that way with a bit of cruise adrenaline flowing as its Dangerous!! If anyone is interested I have all these in HiRes 2200x1050 I think. My car shown of course!
  11. Are we there yet?
  12. Few more:
  13. Sorry guys its only a toy camera.... GREAT CRUZE !!
  14. As Jack has said he will bring the truck, I will be up for this if the GTS4 is going. I guess up against GTR's with a 14 if I am lucky.
  15. Well I hope these guys make it to Tassie, but I cant see where they are going to load the cars on this "ferry". It was the only ship there at 5:30 when I took these pix of the Targa Tassie winner! The black one I mean... Yeah Riiiiight biggrin.gif Seriously, GOOD LUCK, Guy's! SKYLINES FTW! PS Can anyone see these pix? Reloaded AGAIN - hopefully work now...
  16. Come on John, don't tell us you didn't buy V8SupercarsII to practice at PI before you went there? Think I might trade my GTS4 for a ZedTT !! Great work, but wondering about the extended exhaust pipe in the pit lane video?
  17. When are performance car designers going to get that "smiley face" front end design is WRONG! A performance car face should look "MEAN & ANGRY" in general terms! Girly cars smile! Mens cars scowl!
  18. Well I hope these guys make it to Tassie, -see later post # 152 for pix if I can get to work.
  19. Is it just me, or does everyone else have to scroll way across to the right hand side about ten pages when Beer Baron makes a post? I have noticed this on his posts only for the last few months but no-one has said anything so I thought it must just be me??
  20. I dont think you will find anyone willing to do this, as it is not legal I believe to do so. Although you can buy from Mfr done this way thats a different situation, and quite a few Porches, Bentleys etc have them. Your probably better off to upgrade the fluid and hoses and fit pads to suit your application from Race Brakes or someone that can give expert advice on this.
  21. "He said this has caused the backfire, and this continual backfiring has stuffed the AFM cos of the air and backpressure surging in and out." I would highly doubt this statement regarding causing the AFM to go faulty. Thats what an AFM does every day for a living and sometimes they get old and tired, just like me. Did you try cleaning it? Dirty sensor is the most common AFM issue and can be cleaned easily with brake cleaner.
  22. Looking at the specs it says that the Working Press. is 35-40 PSI! So that would indicate if you are using it at 15PSI it will only flow half the quoted 400hp. Also the temps out of the turbo can be as high as 180'c in some conditions? Is this cooler good enough for your needs or am I being too critical or incorrect in my assesment? I suppose a bit late now you have bought it. Compress Air Flow Rate <600Cubic Feet/Min, Rated to 400-500 Max HP Working Pressure: 35~40PSI Pressure Drop 2~5psi@35psi; 0.2~0.5psi@15psi Hot Air Temperature 32°F~302°F (0°C~150°C) Material 100% Aluminum Design Bar and Plate
  23. Trust SK to distill it to the max! I would also have thought distributing a given output load across 6 cylinders would be less stressful to the RB than across 4 cylinders of the SR, contributing for longer term reliability of the RB. That is unless your oil pump screws dont come out! :D
  24. If you are going to push your auto at the lights by holding high revs on the brakes, you should first fit a auto trans cooler because you will be generating a lot of heat which is the best way to kill an auto trans. A few hundred insurance against a few thousand for repairs.
