  1. I'm no expert either but last time I looked the whole theory of a BOV Blow off Valve was that when it senses VACUUM in the Intake manifold when the throttle is closed between gear changes on a MANUAL, it dumps the compressed air in the piping from the compressor thru to the closed throttle plate to stop the air backing up on the compressor wheel. A BOV is NOT actuated by PRESSURE but VACUUM. A BOV on an AUTO is used to shorten the throttle response by bypassing the longer inlet tract as well as venting after sudden throttle closure when on boost. My GTS4 AUTO is also experiencing similar symptoms after a new upgraded turbo and I intend to move the AFM to after the FMIC before the TB to see if that solves this issue.
  2. Al, sorry to hear about your number three cylinder going out to lunch. As its probably the bottom end why not get an RB30 and put your head etc on that as it would be cheaper and have more power potential.
  3. I have a BLACK 32 but would prefer WHITE on a Skyline because the shape has more definition in white. In Black it tends to blend and merge and reflect surroundings detracting from the pure lines. WHITE FTW! PS -Seems to win more at shows as well
  4. I am sure you will need it as my GTS4 Auto RB20 was hitting the speed cut about 100m after getting onto the main straight about 7 years ago BEFORE I modified it! 2.04 was the result and I am a novice pretty much.
  5. That sounds like a better idea to me also, as I am not far from there.
  6. EXCELLENT!
  7. I would be checking the reference air lines as it only can work with what it sees from your manifold unless it has a diaphram problem or similar. Aside, I thought the base ref was 43 PSI? Though I seem to have killed four gauges till I figured the one way valve that was removed from on the in tank Bosch 044 may be needed in the line to stabilise the gauge from high speed fuel pump pulsations. Have not fitted new gauge yet to see if putting in line has solved problem.
  8. Steve at EFI Technology is good in Mitcham.
  9. Congratulations to the NEW team and.. THANKS to the great job the outgoing team did over the last year as well. Mark of a great car club where roles can change but it continues to grow and get better with enthusiastic people helping it along.
  10. Sorry best I can do... But I would like a Chopped Turbo R.
  11. Congratulations!! Did you know you could buy 3 GTRs for the same costs as bringing up a child? No?.... Ah well, at least the same cost as maintaining three GTR's. BUT, you will enjoy a child more! Eventually, anyway....
  12. I f my GTS4 was any other colour I would not have gotten mine as I think it would attract cops but on black it blends in and does the cooling job I bought it for as well. Halfed underhood temps nearly.
  13. Few more I knocked up today.
  14. I liked this article - Like we didnt already know anyway! Do we really need to have sex? Most people agree sex is a necessity, but do we really know how sex affects our lives? Here are a few benefits of doing the bump and grind! 1. Pain Relief - Ditch the Tylenol and find a lover. Bet you didn’t know that immediately before orgasm, levels of a hormone called oxytocin surge to five times their normal levels in the human body. This releases endorphins, which alleviate the pain of migraines, arthritis and any other ache you can think of. In women, sex also increases estrogen production, which makes the PMS pain easier to handle. 2. Smell the Roses – After you’ve had sex, a hormone called prolactin surges through your body. This hormone causes the brain to produce new neutrons in the brain’s olfactory center, which controls your sense of smell. 3. Sweet Heart – Protect your heart by having sex three or more times a week. In a 2001 Queens University study found that by doing just that, men reduced their risk of heart attack or stroke by half. 4. Lose the Weight – Sex is exercise and you can burn over 200 calories in a single vigorous bout. Muscular contractions during sex work all parts of your body including the pelvis, buttocks, arms and thighs. 5. A Natural Flu Shot – Sex can actually prevent you from getting the cold or flu. A Wilkes University study recently found that having sex once or twice a week can increase production of the antibody immunoglobulin A, which can boost your immune system.

Great pix, thanks for sharing! That mountains goto blow one day though...
  16. Sorry, try again, diff way this time..
  17. Is this the right idea?
  18. No, he was waiting for Brisby or someone like me to stand up and be counted. BUT the orig spec was R32 GTR & R33 GTSt NO RB20 to be seen, except by those that dont read well. GO the RB20!! GO... go... go.... GO YOU BARSTARD!! Damn you have to be quick in here!
  19. Why not get your stock alloy hood modded by an aluminium panel crash repairer that could work it to have whatever design you want? True it could be expensive, but would be unique one off and light. My CF is two piece and plastic underneath - Heavier than stock and cost $900. Though it does cool well and cut underhood temps in half.
  20. Dont forget you can mod the inj. socket and use the orig plugs with out having to fit new ones. Easier to just cut away a bit of plastic in the 550cc socket - Dont forget to clean them before fitting as well to save heartache as they can gum up if sitting around not used for a month or so. This is a super deal - I paid $120 each cleaned and tested a fair while ago. More here
  21. How long have those injectors been unused!? This was a problem I had with injectors that had been spray tested etc and sat around for 3 months till I installed them. Ended up taking them off and getting cleaned again after banging the hell out of them with a screwdriver and hammer and getting a couple to fire before working out they needed a fresh clean. Problem fixed for free by supplier - EFI Technology who supplied the RX7 550 cc's, albeit a bit reluctantly as they said I should have known better. But after that, put them in and no probs.
  22. I think that I agree with that. I wish I had soldered to the inside when trying to do my knock sensor loom repair as the loom wires outside the ECU plug seem hard to solder to neatly and securely. Good work, a handy reference.
  23. DAMN! - Looks Awsome! Have to get you to do my site next....
  24. Might be worth checking that your alternator is not overcharging the battery which can happen. This can cause the acid to overflow as you said. Unless they service guys over filled it? Dont forget it seems harmless but give it some time and you will have bad corrosion everywhere, so wash it off pretty thoroughly.
  25. Needs a bit of work but will get to it one day. That BLACK R34 has to be the MEANest looking Skyline I have ever seen!! Do you have MORE?
