Free! Rb20e Motor & Ecu & Auto Transmission
TurboX replied to Bozz's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
I will PM you -Interested for Drag Car -
Depending on how its booked the cost is around $30/35. Maybe we could book the whole timeslot if the interest is there? How about it guy's n gal's ?
-
Hey Russell, the question has been asked, "what about Brake and Engine cooling?"( also Auto Trans ) For the Drag I would think it would not be an issue, but the Circuit certainly would be as well as the drift also! How you are going to do the Drift I cant concieve, but you have come this far so I guess you will get it happening.

"Respect IS the Key" as ADZ said! Respect them and you will probably not get such a hard time. Honestly who among us would want their job? Yeah its easy to critisize the hard time they give some guys but you can bet if you were the cop you probably would have done the same thing for the crap attitude towards you(the cop). I think you have to remember they are the ones that get to the splattered skylines occupants first when someone makes a silly error that ends up fatal. Would you want a job like that? And dont think I have not been pulled up and singled out either, last time in Carlton it cost me $4K to fix all the stuff I wanted the opportunity to do when got done for 1 tyre on the low marker and the other 3 nearly there but I think they have to get you for more than one to make it stick. Getting old and sometimes think that the Karma that goes around comes around Maybe that unprovoked canary prevented you being in the same place as a semi comming the other way or something like that the next day.

Smoking was banned in Vic cinemas ages ago?? Actually thinking about it, I probably would not have thought much of the movie either, had I not already read the book and enjoyed it so much. I think Ron Howard had his work cut out to relay the same experience as reading the book did. If you have not read the book I suggest you do so having seen the movie and the oportunity to recall the actual visuals while reading will make it outstanding. I think the movie attendance will be trading on the enjoyment most people got from reading a book that is damn hard to put down once you start.

Teabing DIED!!?? Maybe you should watch it again, then reread the book I enjoyed it for what it was after enjoying the book and believe anything is possible given factual distorsion over time. Hell in a hundred years time the GTR RB26DETT will be revered as the 20th centuries greatest automobile. Yeah riiiiiight. I love it, but dont wear blinkers. I also believe religion of no fixed denomination is mankinds greatest scourge and the best excuse to commit attrocities under any Dieteis name for the last 3 thousand years.

R32 Rust warning: problem area
TurboX replied to Bazelinez's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
I would not be surprised if Remix's R32 had been submerged in some natural flood disaster situation like they have at times in Japan. What better way to dump a car after drying it out than at the auctions where all our cars virtually come from. Otherwise maybe it came from prefectures where they put salt on the roads in the winters? -
Answer this question - "What is the restriction to the exhaust flow from the valves back." Obviously the Turbo Turbine wheel is first but that makes the boost we all crave so if we allow the turbine wheel to get rid of the gasses as easily as possible it will operate a lot more efficently. The next restriction in a standard system is the actual dump pipe it self in the restricted diameter and shape. After that problem the major restriction is the CAT itself (Which we cant remove if we have any sense at all) So after all this, you want to put some larger pipe on the least restrictive part of the system?? Sorry, but it just seems so obvious to me....

4wd Not Working - R32 Gtr
TurboX replied to rmc02's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
I assume you have checked the obvious like the fluid level and also bled the system in the correct procedure ( as in HPI no 58 ) ?? If so, ignore me -
I have one or six spare -fitted RX7 550's - so make me a reasonable offer and I will post it to you.
-
<SAU-VIC>TurboX If we are only playing SAU then should we not use our state as well?
-
Why not get another Nissan - the 350Z ? You have a choice of Coupe or Convertible (My wifes choice - her Turn next) And it would be a corporate approved conveyance

Wts : Used Rb26 Nissan Oil Pump
TurboX replied to FATGTR's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Will both of these firt a Stagea RB25DET or are they only to suit an RB26? -
Duncan I am not really that pleased to hear this if it has happened to you to Glenn slipped on the Klm's by a 0 so actually 120 Thousand ks on the RB20 I was kicking myself a bit on this one as I was ignoring the Oil Pressure gauge telling me there was something not quite right with it mostly low but sometimes full scale. Just thought it was a faulty sender. Bought a decent gauge but did not connect it just made it look pretty in the mod GTR centre housing Looks like a good excuse for an RB25.... Sorry Geoff, will delete this in a few days to keep it tidy.

Yeah why not - get my ass kicked in T2 all the time anyway, might as well give you guys a turn in BF2.

First time on this thread and I can see why you guys hot up your cars growing up in the computer age. I hotted up my first car, a Valiant 225 slant six with twin 4 barrel holleys in 1969 and pulled a flat 14 Quarter (Killing GTHO's;-) and there were no computers to influence me back then. Thinking about it that probably got me started in computers and hotting them up And lets not get started on computer games:LOL

I think the Dark Grey nearly Black makes a good improvement. Will look cleaner for longer - Go for it!

Steering Shake Over 100kph?
TurboX replied to Mr_G's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Guy's, the wheel studs are there to hold the wheels on the hubs - NOT SUPPORT OR CENTRE THEM! This symptom is endemic to this situation. If your wheels are not supported and centered by the raised portion of the hub I believe your driving an unroadworthy car. I am constantly suprised by the number of GTR's in particular that have forged wheels with the centre hole not supported or centred and with a few mm gap. I believe you can buy the right sized rings to fit in there from wheel shops that know what they are doing. If you disagree, talk to the hand. -
I am guessing you can, but the extra length of the FWD transfer case and clutch pack would mean you would need the tailshaft as well which would be shorter than the GTS tailshaft. Duh. I would think the bellhousing should bolt up Ok, not sure about shifter positioning, etc. Sorry I cant be more helpful.

It will bend valves if too far out -not sure how much it needs to be though - I suspect one tooth maybe ok. If drivable I have found some Nissan Dealers with a CONSULT box can diag quickly at low cost. Actually Blackburn Nissan has done three such checks over a few years for me for FREE. When I needed orig Nissan parts I bought them there needless to say!
-
Yeah, sorry Troy, I wanted to see how the RB20 would go too, but it dont make economical sense I think to repair it when I can get an RB25DET Stagea under $2000. Was that bottom end a AWD block? If so I would use it if OK! PM me if so and you can find it ....

Update on an oil problem no-one could have fixed! Found the reason for my oil problems - the back plate on the oil pump had come virtually off and most of the screws had come out!! As this is inside the AWD sump and needed the complete block top be removed to identify the problem. HOT DAMN!!
