Try taking the AFM out and cleaning it with metho or something, I usually use a gas lighter on it as well to burn the metho off -may be a bit extreme but it seems to work for the last ten years of doing it every year. Also change your fuel filter if you have not done so. Seems to be when it gets hot that you have the problem so that indicates maybe a water temp sensor??

YES they do... More hereRX7 550 cc into RB20 Sorry wrong page - better now - hell thats a crap site - anyway just cut the little plastic lug inside the RX7 injector off and the standard RB20 plug will fit OK

R32 Rb35de Head On A Det Block
TurboX replied to swappedturboegg's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
If the RB25DE head is anything like the RB20DE it will have much smaller chambers so your comp ratio will be very high. - Probably too high!? I would double check this before anything as obviously it would detonate badly if not massivly retuned to compensate. RB Racing is currently building a RB20DE with a turbo fitted but have a Autronic to control the potential for detonation because of the high comp. -
Well looks like I need a new Z32 AFM and Top Airbox to suit R32 GTS as my modified AFM is causing some sort of reversion problems when reving past 4000RPM . ( CHH, CHHH, CHHH,) Strange it did not do it before I got the Transmission serviced recently??! I have blocked the blowoff valve etc to test the diffence and that is not the cause as it still does it. So as well as the strange clattering noise that comes and goes after 3000RPM it now does this as well as oil being sucked out of the front of the turbo all inside the turbo intake area

Even the Porsche ones crack so thats why I went with DBA Slotted and when I came onto the freeway recently slightly faster than I should have and saw what I thought was an unmarked police car pulling someone up about two hundred meters up the road they proved their worth. Never has my GTS4 stopped so surely and swiftly ever before it nearly turned me on more than the acceleration at the drags;-)

Check your fluid level in the reservoir in the boot on drivers side and check your tyre pressures as well though this usually brings in awd at a very low level all the time. May be worth bleeding your system as well (- special proceedure in manual and HPI #58 (High Performance Imports issue 58) Recently bled mine and now instant response!

I agree, I can rev the ring out of it just as much and enjoy it more Well till it goes bang anyway

Can I piggy back onto this thread? Did you clean your AFM? I have reguarly cleaned mine with metho. I need a R32 GTS TOP AIRBOX without the AFM, unless you have a near new Z32 AFM as well. Thanks...

If it happens the way I want it to, it will send the lap times to the drivers phone each lap as well as recording automaticly to the laptop. The Bluetooth system is not good enough to resolve the actual timing functions but it will allow transfering the times to the drivers phone if he has bluetooth enabled. - you could tape that to the steering wheel hub The actual timing will be done with another wireless system that has the 1/100 of a sec capability, and I am working on this at the moment.

Minimeet- Friday 17/03/06: Cruise And Photo Shoot

This still happening?? A great response - NOT! Is everyone going GREEN? (St. Pats Day) -
Did not realise that you guys in NSW did not have to have number plates like the rest of us in this country. Was this guy so thick he could not get the plates of a car that did what he said and then could "Disapear" without the cops being able to just call around to the home of the offender?

G4 Racing Adjustable Coilovers - $1399 Delivered!
TurboX replied to Just Jap Racing's topic in For Sale (Business Traders)
I notice on the website all the specs for the R32 GTR (GTS4) Street Track and Drift are the same?? What is the best spec for mostly Street and rare Track day? Are these adjustable between both types of use with the one spec. -
Looks like the resolution of bluetooth devices is inherently unaccurate and will not allow anywhere near good enough timing for track events in the way I had envisaged with using your mobile phone integrated bluetooth. BUT, there is another nearly as good solution I am testing at the moment that has said to have millisecond accuracy. The ONLY downside is that it will cost about $55 dollars for the in car hardware to buy from me once off to be able to use the system. I will be testing the "TurboClub Track Timer" as it is to be known as, at the moment and will report more soon. Previous entries into TurboX's BLOG recorded below... QUOTE(TurboX @ 27 Feb 2006, 04:16 PM) You would think that in this day and age with so much electronic and computer WiFi stuff around cheap that it should not be to hard to come up with some ideas on how we could make this a reality. Anyone like to think about this as I am sure its not too hard... Guess I have to reply to my own post as no-one else looks like they are going to OK - since asking the question, I have come up with the ANSWER!! At virtually NO COST! Works like this -( I wont bother to patent this as it's just too obvious ) Drivers Mobile Phone (MUST be BlueTooth Enabled) Some ones Laptop -ANY - TurboClub Track Timer Assembly & Software - Donation to SAUVIC by TurboClub.com and City Notebook Centre - 8 Market St. Melbourne, www.CityNotebookCentre.com.au I will say I am going off a bit half cocked -so to speak, here - but the concept seems sound and the proof is not far away - stay tuned. Guy's, I have been working on the track timer and its looking good but the resolution looks at this stage to be only within the second. For example Phillip Island 1:48 (- I wish!?) No tenths or hundreths possible -YET;-) What do you think Snowman? Do you need more resolution to make sure Chris is not close enough? UPDATE*** OK - consensus is that it NEEDS to be 1 /100ths. It looks like this is a problem with Bluetooth as the Hardware/Software does not have the capability to resolve to anywhere near this level which is a pity as using the drivers phone had a lot going for it in terms of ease of use and deployment. I do belive that 802.11 has millisecond timing capabilities but the logistics of deployment in the competing vehicle make it harder unless everyone has a laptop! AND I am not going to lend them out to everyone I am sure there is a solution somewhere though just have to think of it.

Wtb - R32 Gtst Speedo Cable, 32 Gtr Nismmo Bonnet Splitter
TurboX replied to Bl4cK32's topic in Wanted to Buy
got one somewhere in the garage if you have no luck but may take some time to find - you would not be surprised if you saw my garage;-) What are you offering? -
I was under the impression you cant use the RB20 DET head on an RB30??? Considering my bottom end looks like its stuffed but the head and manifolds have so much work done it would be handy to just swap the head over onto the RB30 with the adapter awd plate. Though that would increase the height of the motor which currently hits the hood air duct anyway ;-( Ita a dilema as I have RB20 and RB30 NA Blocks in the shed.

If you were near the city I would recomend Ralph at TRU TRACK in Nth Melb. I think Levinson St. He has been setting up Skylines for many years - Steet and Track. Dont remember what it cost but it was probably not cheap. Neithers my Life, so it all adds up to pay a bit more.
