Been in similar situation. Check fuel filter first. Drove to Adelaide to get Martin Donnon to dyno chipped std computer at Morpowa as he was the only one I could find to do it. Car used half the amount of fuel on the trip back at double the pace:) Since been told "Dr. Drift" does them also but cant comment on outcome.

Your doing well for a young guy living on the Nth American continent:) All the yanks seem to have trouble getting a Skyline over that side of the world, but may Canuks are smarter. You could check out my links for a good way to waste a lot of perfectly good cash on something you will never get your money back on. BUT DAMN, you will probably enjoy yourself:) P.S. comin to OZ for the Comm. Games? Plenty of Skylines here.

I often think "I wonder what I would think about roads/freeways/tollways and speed cameras if I still lived in the country" i.e. NOT in a capitol city where 99% of all the money is spent. Probably 99% of Australians live in the capitol cities, but it seems to me that the country people are getting a raw deal. Dont forget that all those great drivers roads ARE in the country areas!

Where to get R33 timing Belt?
TurboX replied to benl1981's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Good point Jordan, well worth checking, mine seemed OK after 120K Klms when I checked it after doing head up. SkylineGeoff found some at a great price recently. -
Shock / Spring Tech Discussion
TurboX replied to Roy's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Yeah, now you mention it I seem to remember that they were to suit a GTR! GTS4 being AWD and all:) Your going to damn fast now as it is, and I will never be able to catch you! Waiting till after the run on the 15th to pull the cams out and find my noise problem, then I will see you out at the track. -
Gunmetal - repainted Black. Yorik can you not post, it delays reading through all the posts too much.

Harshness at low RPM R33 - and doing cam belt
TurboX replied to benl1981's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
I bought a GATES timing belt at Autosalon on weekend for $100 from HP inaBox. Seemed like good value, supposed to be 3x stronger. I think Nissan want similar money for a product thats not as good. -

Thanks SK, I will take it into Pedders to check them out. If they cant make some sense of them I will take you up on the offer. Can i just get the valving changed to make a difference to the ride or do I have to change just the springs, or both? Might as well buy new fully adjustables the way prices are coming down if so. -

Shock / Spring Tech Discussion
TurboX replied to Roy's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Roy I guess you did not respond to my message because you dont want my headaches ;-) So I will hijack your thread (sorry Mate;-) by asking what can I do about my JIC pillowball Adj Coilovers to make them more comfortable on the normal roads while still being OK on the Track? I dont know what the spring weights are but can you measure or change them, or is it possible to revalve the shocks without modifying the springs to make them more bearable on the road? -
The HR32 Suspension geometry does not allow camber adjustment on the shocks as does MacPherson strut. -S13/14/15 SO no camber adjust shocks for Skylines! You can adjust them, just with diff hardware.

I just wonder if he had owned a white holden commondore if the exact description of his car would have been mentioned? Note its not an import, and a sedan, but I guess it makes it all the more newsworthy if the words Nissan Skyline are added in for good measure! I feel sorry for all concerned and it just shows how a few beers can affect the outcome of simple everyday events.

I assume you would not buy a GTR then?? The AWD is EXACTLY the same PRINCIPLE in the GTS4!! I think the drive shafts are slightly smaller the ony difference. As for the auto, when my GTS4 is going shortly with AUTO & AWD, I would say meet me out at the drags to see just how good it is! This is obviously a great Skyline in excellent condition like I bought mine 8 years ago, I doubt the buyer would regret it, but I am wondering why its for sale?

ALMOST makes me want to get married again.... Hmmmm maybe not.

Will i need a Z32 AFM?? R32 RB20DET HKS 2530 etc...
TurboX replied to Hawker180's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Or you could do this and never worry about how much air flow you need.... http://www.turboclub.com/turbocars/nissan/...grade/index.htm -
How much for the wheels you dont sell with it mate? If I ever sort the bugs out of mine I want some track wheels/Tyres. Have you sold it yet?

Just finished replacing Turbo/HKS Exh. +3"Dump/CAT/Headwork/HKS HGasket/P&P etc. NOW find on Dynoing, its got a bad knocking noise over 3000RPM. Has been off the road 12 mths so driving around keeping the Auto in O/D to keep revs under 3000. (Stalls 2800) Hell I have to get some K's on it after all this time. Even though its got 550cc RX7 inj's its running very well with my double flow AFM Mod compensating but a bit on the rich side at revs. Sounds like its coming from the top of the cams at rear cylinder. This WAS the cylinder that the H/Gasket blew through to the water jacket after coroding though as I was on the fourth run of the night at Calder drags. Have I hydrolocked it and stuffed the bottom end somewhere? Bearings etc probably took a lot of water in the oil also before I realised. Also the oil pressure is only reading 2 on the gauge most of the time but it always has and was told by others that is common on GTS?? DAMN, I can feel the power potential as its much better than before when it Dyno'd at 160RWK even now running a bit rich and way out of tune on only 10PSI!! How long before it goes BANG and I need to do ....... WHAT?!? 1. Replace bottom end components with parts from NA RB20 I have. Cheapest option But who could do this AWD eng out in Melb at reasonable cost? 2. Replace BE with GTR Crank/rods/Pistons to fit = 2.4? 3. Replace everything with a stock Stagea RB25 (to suit AWD) I have put a lot of money and time and sweat into this thing and really want to be a Troy and persevere with the RB20. Sorry for the long post but its got me screwed at the moment..

Clean the AFM and probably your filter as well if oil saturated type. Had to wash my K&N panel 3 times before came clean a while back.

Automatic Transmission Shift Kit. - Updated Oct 2006
TurboX replied to 4door_Sleeper's topic in Group Buys
What about next to the pasenger side wheel well behind front clip where there is a slotted panel behind old IC (at least on GTS -Make some if not)? At least the air will be cooler going through it. A Fan would help as well. -
Anyone got any opinion on this unit? I am just about to tell PRO-TEK to go ahead and fit one to my car as its running like a dog after new injectors / headwork / AFM etc. Yes I know its a piggy back - I have an Auto & Hicas that need orig ECU. Seems great value for money at $1100 fitted and tuned.

Sorry guys, I have completed repairs to the RB20 and the duct was needed to get going. If anyone is interested I did modify it my self by sliting the center rubber ring depression all the way around and inserted a 75mm bend of stainless steel in there to do a similar job of smoothing the airflow. I angled the entrance lip to the pipe and just forced it in there and now it looks completely stock but hopefully works a bit better?
