Hey Marcus, great pics, and your GTR was AWSOME! The only reason you know anyone is that you have bought and sold so much to all of us! Congrats to all the winners, and also great job done once again by the committee members, inc the great BBQ from Min & Chris. I also would like to thank anyone that voted for my car enabling the old girl to take a trophy at last! (After all, it was in HPI last Month!) Also would like to say sorry to anyone that I did not go out of my way to talk to, and hope to overcome my shyness soon. Keep forgetting how old I am, and I dont have to give a damn anymore what anyone thinks of me not acting my age! That "Name" & "Forum Name" ID badge for Club Meetings may be a good thing, but not sure about out on activities where you could feel more selfconscious of it. Maybe a PROPER ID photo with actual person with Forum/First Name and Skyline (No Plate) in the Members Only area may be a good idea so we can all remember names/faces??

My useless advice would have been join this forum months before you buy a car like this to know more about not getting caught out like this! My second word of advice is to use proper punctuation to allow for easier reading and take notice of the inbuilt spell checking function to fix misspelling. Third, your screwed if thats your story in court. A vehicle with no ECU cannot run for a start!

I keep telling you that you should have looked at the Audi ALLROAD 2.7 V6TT before that crap Falcon Ute! :laughing-smiley-014: True, it would not quite be the RS4 V8 but with a few tweaks the 2,7 V6TT can kick some serious ass! But now maybe you can reconsider and look at the next ALLROAD that comes along, go on, you know you want to... Great to see your still out and about for an old retired guy! Great story though, you should show it to the local Audi dealer and try to do one on the new R8!! If that does not fly then maybe James could see what he can do for you.. Think I might call in there this week now I am over my Kidney stone - DAMN they say its similar to the pain of giving birth and I dont doubt it!

I fabricated mine from prebent brackets from Bunnings hardware. They were bent at an angle of difficult description But made it really easy to solidly and professionally (?hah) mount my R33 GTR IC. MORE HERE All I had to do was buy some bolts/nuts and cut the bracket with a hand hacksaw as already had holes which lined up with holes in body on channel and on IC.

If my experience in Adelade is anything to go by you guys have it tough! Went over there in my R32 GTS4 to get tuned a few years ago by Donnon at Morpowa and was only there on the road a few hours total and got pulled over three times! And then my GTS4 looked Stock as, with just a slight lowering so only 20mm gap to top of gard. And I look old cause I am. After the second time my wife said ' Oh look theres a cop coming the other way towards us as we are just sitting here in traffic, - bet he turns around and comes after us!" Yeah right I said, not believing it. 'FLASH/FLASH wah wah wah.... Yes Officer?... "oh just wondered if you could show my partner around under the hood and explain where everything is and what it does cause he dose not know much about Skylines..." WTF!!??

WHAT!? No "Remarkables"?? Fantastic shots sent me back there from 1970. I loved that place and would go back any day except... uhh... missus. Lots of gold in them thar streams too if you want to take the trouble to pan it for a while.

Well I would not consider any of that example to contain any wrong behavior! All cars were safely on their own side of the road and none went over the centreline coming around the corner at a reasonable speed. The only issue was the "f" word when you thought some were going to pull in and stop! To be honest I have avoided some of these runs because I know sometimes my adrenelin can get going and thats when stuff happens if its going to happen. But thats because I have not done to many DECA's or Track days for a while to get it out of my system and get to know my and the cars abilities better. The people on this run that let their head go a bit will realise who they are and should say to themselves.. -I WILL JOIN SAU and get my head together by doing it on a racetrack under safe controlled conditions! It would be great if you gave a far greater explanation on your situation detailing all faults and symptoms! We cant be mind readers and the more hard facts allows a greater scope of someone regcognising the problem and suggesting an easier fix. I had loom problems also but the LAST thing I was going to do was swap it!! I traced the faulty cables and ran replacement wires back to the ECU to solve the breaks. Admittedly it did not solve my Knock Sensor problems but the only way I managed to do that was shorting the wires to earth thru a resistor so fooling the ECU that the Knock sensors were OK and no Fault code displayed.

The R32 GTR loom would be a closer up front match I think. Why are you wanting to change it anyway? The Nissan Australia R32 GTR Manual has wiring diagrams for GTS4 included and they are very similar.

Interesting Nissan have taken the Porsche 928 Transaxel format to compensate for the poor (front biased) front to back weight ratio which seems on face value to be one of the only negative aspects of the 2007 GTR. The overall weight seems to be another issue but I suspect there will be a lighter more track oriented model later...

They are re-enacting the original Great Ocean Road opening tour of 1932. Organisers had hoped to secure some vehicle entries from the original tour, but none could be found. The cars departed the Automotive Centre of Excellence, Docklands, at 11am, after Mr Tim Pallas, the Minister for Roads, waved the Australian flag to start the re-enactment tour that is celebrating the history of Victoria’s greatest and most-spectacular scenic road. The Great Ocean Road 75 Years Celebration Tour is sponsored by VACC, with all proceeds going to Retina Australia.

I will add my 2c. The price is WAY LOW! Whats wrong with you guys that always lowball an unseen and probably excellent Skyline. Not all Skylines are abused and trashed examples like I see out there going for what they are worth! Sure you can buy a cheaper Skyline, but some are worth a lot more than others that have been neglected etc. Tired of tire kickers commenting on other peoples advertised prices on this forum. If its to expensive for you walk away with some respect....

If spacers are illegle why do some Porsche's have them from the factory? Or is that the issue that makes them only legal as factory fitment?
