i watched a police officer do this with a new 4WD in wa, that was funny, drove it to the exit of the Fuel station and just died in the ass rofl. stupid police

half sorted out my problems, all wiring was right, just needed cooler piping and a little deoderant into the intake (oops ) sounds dodgy but it worked, obviously was sitting around for a while since last start

With out sounding to dodgy, im doin all of the wiring myself because where i live there is no auto sparkys around to do any thing, have to get the car off the island to do see one. engine came from a halfcut that apparntly ran b4 it was sent to me. looks all good though and there is oil all through it so it looks like it has been ran recient enoguh

Hi to all, im not sure who can really help me on this. i reciently put a RB20 into my VL (dont ask y) and i have power goin to the ECU and pumps, but the 20 just doesnt want to fire to life. there are a couple of things me and a mate think it could be the ignitor switch, or maybe there is a plug somewere i have missed (dont know were thoguh i seem to have them all sorted). any ideas anyone?

dont talk to reno he is a **** head well if its the one im think about anyways runs St. James auto trader..... aka. moores on the corners of sheperton hwy almany highway and welshpool my bov and exhaust almost got me a yellow the other day he sold me the damb car wiht out permits for the RB20 (180sx) in it the HKS BOV or the exhaust cops wanted to have a look under the hood had to say i just picked up ther car then they turned and said well didnt he give you the permits and i said no he said i didnt need em which is y im tryin to get reno to fork over the mony to fix it all and on top of all of that the engine in the 180 i bought is ****ed and if the engine isnt permited to that car and he has to replace it does he have the choice to replace it wiht the CA18 that was in it in the 1st place (originialy)

Yeah came with the chroms........ and the over heating problems oh well that is gettin fixed and yeah its still hittin boost so it cant really be anything else goin wrong but the Cat

it hasnt got the motec anymore im just curious about everthing else about the car like what has been done to it ect the dealer i bought it threw knows nothin about it lol

nu thats just what i have noticed in my car its really weird my car still runs fine but the tacho just stops at 4000rpm but it takes ages to get up there.

i have a RB 20 in my 180sx wich is the same as your 240sx just rwd apparntly (not sure if your 240 is rwd or fwd???) i found in my car that even with the A31 saffero dash (thats were i got my engine from) the revs still drop off at about 4 grand and it is a little slow gettin up there i have tried a couple of other dashes but apparntly the only way i can fix my problem is by gettin a monter tacho or somethin like that which sux

just wonderin if any of the perth ppl on here have seen the car b4 that im driving or maybe know a little history about it... its a gun metal grey 180sx with EVL-180 on the numberplates apparntly it has gone threw like 1 x CA18DET and 5 x SR20DET cause the original oner didnt do somethin right when it came to puttin the motec system on or somethin like that...... any one know the car????

Bein a bunbury guy u know patty prob.... well anyways me and him checked it all out the over heating problem is the water pump as for the thermo;s i have a wsich for it but it doesnt work.... dunno y its all connected

if it helps any there was also apparntly a 20cm flame come out of the exhaust not sure if that says anything but yeah....

yeah spose thats true im just thinkin about converting it back to a SR20DET apparnly it has had a couple of them in it but due to the dumb ass who owned it b4 me managed to blow them up by usin a motec ECU but not re mappin the engin or somethin i dont know the story but apparntly he went threw a CA18DET and 5 SR20 DET's

needing a GTST or GTR radiator and "possably" a turbo as well not sure how much i wanna spend yet just if someone could give me a quote would be good chears

oh ok thats a little better so its not really anything majour then? as for the other problem would the car run better with a differant radiator if so i was thinkin about lookin at a GTST32 or GTR32 one would it matter all that much and would either one of them fit

ok shit thanx i had a feeling there was problems with the turbo apparntly there was flams about 20cm commin out of my exhaust as well if that says anything

ok 1st yes im new to the forum and apparntly some uf you perth ppl will probably know the car that i am goin to be talkin about..... its a 1990 180SX with evl 180 on the numberplate.... got a problem or 2 or 3 not sure yet.... ok its got a RB 20 in it and its overheating like a little bitch a couple of people seem to think that its still got the standerd radiator in it and also apparnly when driving shavings of metal are comming from the exhaust maybe someone on here might be able to help if so it would be great
