  1. Very nice car 32Line... What wheels are they? Look awesome!!! Hey Travis, yeah looks good. Well I'll have to get my guards rolled a bit. Definitely want it as low as yours. It looks porn.
  2. Any scrubbing? Mine has similar size rims and scrubs like crazy atm. Hate to say it but mine needs raising! lol Looks phat. Good work.
  3. There is a pdf file on the QLD transport site regarding the legality of roll cages. I think only half cages are able to be approved?? but still have to have a mod plate. Your car will have to be re-registered as a 2 seater. The pdf also says about no sharp points, and something about it having to be padded? Should be a similar document from other states transport authority...
  4. My car has had a forged rebuild..I also have a n1 oil pump... Must be why its higher. But 1.5 bar seems very low??? I would have thought at least 2bar as thats what my friends 34 (rb25) sits at...
  5. Hey guys, Got a noise coming from the 4wd system in my gtr. The fluid ran dry from a leak and i was unaware. It has since been refilled but now there is a knocking kinda noise coming from it. Anyone know what this could possibly be and how to best fix it? I'm hopeful that its just that it needs the oil to flow through it again but i doubt it.... Thanks in advance.
  6. Yeah you're spot on there Yawn, as I have heard of people doing the very same thing. It's always a good starting point though to verify kms and its easy.
  7. Cheers. Yeah i like the look of them, definitely looks good but i just always assumed they were n1.
  8. If any one knows what they are then pm me...interested to know now. cheers.
  9. What are they then?........Seriously, coz I thought they were n1. Saw a pic on google then of a veilside 32 gtr... Could they be veilside then?
  10. I have just bought new 19" rims and they came with Kuhmo Ecsta Supra tyres. They are 275/30's and I had more wheelspin than what I did with 245's... I really don't think these tyres are very good at all. Haven't driven them on the road, only on the strip but serious traction issues. Gave me 3 sec 60ft times!!!! What's the grippiest tyre in 275/30/R19s?
  11. I have 8000k HID's......so yeah they're fairly blue lol.
  12. I think you meant 14 sec GTR..................... No, it's not slow. You should know that after driving it to and from last night. Just a bit slippery at the start line. Reeled in that commonwhore last night pretty easy!
  13. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Funniest comparison ever. Definitely true though. I am serving my 5th 3 month suspension (I never learn that owning an import is practically illegal no matter how you drive) and I have 4 weeks left. Only thing I can suggest is going to the drags and track days, get your fix and stay off the road! Drags definitely help me get through it. I have a few friends that have lost their licence and been caught driving whilst disqualified... That's when you get into serious shit. Losing it for 3 and not driving is better than risking losing it for 6 - 12 months or 2 years for nothing.
  14. Yeah I'd agree with that. Although, I've heard its good to keep a RB26 a millimetre above, or right on the full line.... Unless you want RB to stand for Re Build.
  15. Got a few pics of the line from the drags last night... Crazy how bright the blue LED's are... They are just my parkers. Cheers.
  16. Hey y'all, I did a search but couldn't quite find it... Car doesn't like to go into gear sometimes and crunches, especially 1st gear when idling, and my mate suggested adjusting the clutch...? Clutch is a triple plate.. What do I need to do to adjust it? if thats what I need to do... Thanks in advance.
  17. Again, only real safe way is to check vin/engine numbers. You will never know the real kms of a jap car unless they have a full log booked history which is pretty rare. Best way to tell is, like some have said, check interior parts like seats and steering wheel and dash... If these appear to be in great quality, chances are the kms are genuinely low and the car has been looked after. EDIT: with a budget of 20-25k, you can be expecting to get one in pretty good nick... The best thing to do, since you have the money, is to get one that has had a recent full forged rebuild! My friend just bought a 32 GTR and launched it once pretty soft and it spun a bearing. This will save you alot of time and money. If you cant find, or like one that hasnt been rebuilt, please keep tabs on the oil lol. GTR's are supposed to be on the full indicator and some people say a tiny bit over when it comes to oil. Oil pressure in my car sits on 4bar when warm so check that too.
  18. LOL. I'm determined to get a good time in rwd now. Any good ways to launch other than riding the clutch?? Someone on here has got to have similar or more power and run on street tyres.......
  19. Forgot to mention, although its obvious... 275s did absolutely nothing. I ran better times on half the boost with 245s. Kuhmo Ecsta are not a great tyre at all. Couldn't even get traction in 2nd gear.
  20. Couldn't get the power down AT ALL> Worst 60ft times you would have ever seen lol. Got in a few runs, but just couldn't work out the best way to launch with this clutch. I think my best run was 14.7 at 107mph with 2.843... Other runs: 14.7 at 108mph with a 2.874 60ft 14.9 at 106mph with 2.83 60ft 16.5 at 103mph with 3.06 60ft 15.4 at 104mph with 2.92 60ft 15.1 at 106mph with 2.96 60ft 15.2 at 102mph with 2.75 60ft 20.6 at 45mph...missed 3rd lol. still only had a 3sec 60ft though. Any ideas on the best way to launch with this type of clutch? Next time I will soften the rear coilovers as much as I can... Don't want to have to buy slicks as I like it to be full street times, but I might.
  21. haha. Well its in rwd because the 4wd is broken. Something wrong with the oil control switch... Yeah grant, it'll run better than your commie. And when you learn how to tune my power fc for free instead of me having to drive 8 hours i'll get it tuned! Nah, next brissy trip i reckon ill get it tuned for around 18psi.. depends how the injectors go. they're at 90% now but its also ridiculously rich.
  22. Drags are on tomorrow night. What do y'all think I'll get with a 2-2.3 sec 60ft? Car is R32 GTR (in rwd) 340rwhp 275 Kuhmo tyres around my 19s... OS triple plate clutch I'm hoping for somewhere around the 13 flat mark as I haven't had the car that long yet and I'm not the fastest gear changer... Any input on how to launch rwd cars etc?
  23. There is quite a few things you should look out for that I've found out... 1. check for good oil pressure. mine sits absolutely dead on 4 when fully warmed up. Unless its been rebuilt or something, your oil pressure will be a bit lower but shouldn't be lower than 3 I don't think??(someone confirm this) 2. check the chassis rails. quite often they are damaged on imports due to being lifted by forklifts and really bad hoists... 3. i would recommend a compression test and overall independent mechanical inspection. You should be able to tell straight up if its an R34 engine. R34 heads were painted red instead of just black and the plenum was black in the 32 and not in the 34. not sure bout telling between 33's though. Just check the engine number and see if it matches up. thats definitely the best way. This is a 32... Someone got a 34 engine bay?
  24. Sounds like a pretty tough engine... engine would probably be worth that by itself. You could get it back in parts for sure.
