Got a wave this morning from a guy in a silver R33 GTR turning right going into the back of Curtin.

1. Can you put a twin throttle body setup on a GTS-T with modifying anything. 2 If you have to modify anything/s what would they be? Is there going to be any gains by doing this? I've seen it done of N/A cars and they get an extra 20-30 kw @ the wheels would it work with turbo cars? Anyone ever done this or know someone who has? Would it be overkill?

My friend painted his celica and i've borrowed all the gear he used. I am a confident painter in general, i've spray painted a few times, never on a large scale like a car, but I think I can do it. I haven't decided what paint to use yet, hence why I posted before I painted. Also I was going to go down to a panel beater and talk to them about what is best to use. Also i've heard you can rent painting booths for like a week or somthing so maybe I might not need to paint in the garge.

Not being a mechanic I don't honestly know if it is synchros, but when the guy drove my car he said it was.

ok well I don't have heaters to heat the room up, but I could paint it during the middle of summer, because it will be painted in a metal garage. So that will get bloody hot during summer.

Is that $500 plus whatever parts are required? or a rough total? I was told by 1 place that it would be $450. I thought this was a really good price then he told me that was for them just to open it and have a look, that parts would be extra.

Firstly sorry if this is in the wrong section...... Just wondering how many people have re-sprayed their own car? I got all the gear to re-spray my car (currently black) Just after some tips and clarification on what is needed. I am thinking of doing a top coat on the paint for the moment, so i'd be keeping it black. Just to get rid of the little scratches it has. Do I need to sand back the top coat of the paint back before applying the new paint? Will I need to apply a clear coat after the paint? Anything other info would be much appreciated. Cheers

Hey peeps, My R32gts's gearbox (manual) is crunching changing gears sometimes. I've been told the synchros and sliders need to be fixed. I have had the oil replaced with synthetic stuff (Redline) still no good, so I assume the gearbox will need to be fixed or for me to get a 2nd hand replacement. I was browsing this site and the internet to look for solutions and from what I saw the following gearboxes go straight in without modification. - VL/R31 - R32 (RB30det) - R33 (RB25det) Is this true? Being a turbo charged car will the VL/R31 box handle about 200rwkw? I've been quoted $2000 to get it rebuilt, this is ion Canberra where prices are normally inflated.........is this expensive? How do other states compare? I might go to either Sydney or Melbourne if the price differential is big.

I imported a 1989 R32 GTS-T Type M 5 Speed 62000kms No damage I made the decision to buy a non-modifyed car as it reckon it would have been treated a little better than one that has been modded. Cost $9,900 from the auction to my door step, that included insurance for the transport overseas, I waited about 6 months. I live in Canberra, got the car delivered to Melbourne, I had already arranged a company to do all the required roadworthy. That cost about $2,500 (I think may have been cheaper) Then I got a freight company to ship it to Canberra cost $100 Got the car fully serviced first time to get it checked for any problems That service was about $1,200 because I needed new timing belt and water pump (labour intensive) Then Rego ontop of that here is about $650 So what that's about $14,500 on road.

It's a brand new GReddy Intercooler kit I was looking at getting the 3rd RB20DET Kit thye have? Anyone ever used them? Heard of them? Is it a good price for genuine parts? Apart from buying a hybrid fmic and getting some pipes made then bolting it up is there going to be a better price?

I had a look at my front bar today any intercooler that is front mounted looks like i'll have to cut my front bar a little.....suppose it won't really be a problem because the intercooler will cover it. Did you have to cut your front bar at all?

Nice job. If I go into an exhaust shop and ask for the following: · 2 to 3 foot of straight pipe · 2 45 degree bends · 2 90 degree bends · 1 180 degree bend How will they know how long to make each bend? Excuse my ignorance but you cna have a 90 deg. angle that is 10cm and also 30cm.

Hey man I say something like a big flash last night, I came outside about 11.30sih and this massive blue flash filled the sky (like lightinging) andthen in the middle of the sky their was a orange/red bright spot I thought I was seeing things, but perhaps not it was weird.

Hey guys, Does anyone know how to take the voltage reading of the AFM and the O2 sensors, ie where to put the 2 prongs off the voltage meter on either of these. And what are the readings meant to be? Cheers
