R34 vs. WRX? Usually an R34 would win after the second gear change (in 3rd, that is). Let them enjoy the first two gears and take 'em down by the time you shift third. Guarantee, there is no way he can keep up. STis? In stock forms, I admit, they got an edge. But a slight modification to the Skyline would change everything. Again, same thing as the WRX... get 'em by the third. Guys, don't waste your time. Dragging a WRX don't mean shit... they are always at the disadvantage side for having a smaller engine in terms of capacity. Try to take them down in corners. After all, they always brag that a the car is a 4WD, a fool-proof... making everyone behind the wheels an instant pro racers...

Engine wise, I don't think they share that much similarities apart from the obvious, like some electronics (but ECUs are different) and stuffs. But one thing that I am sure, they share the same sway bar...

The offset could be wrong for your car. I believe that was for an R32 GT-R, coz the offset seems right to me. GT-Rs have flared guards, allowing for smaller offset. It would sticks out in your car, and possibly, you'd have problem with them touching your guards. And you can't have it lowered too much, too.

Donnellan's dwon in Box Hill got the tools. But try the one near to the City, I can't remember the suburb. Find Steve, he's the best roller I know of in Melbourne.

I have been away for about 5 months now. I have not driven my car for so long, and the worst part is this: my car was still waiting for the camshaft when I left and now it is all ready waiting for me in the garage with the new camshaft on! I enjoy my driving so much, but now I am stuck for another month or two in a city where traffic jam is literally around-the-clock! And the only performance car availablto me is a 200-HP E36 Bimmer in auto! Auch!

A lot of things could cause that kind of miss at the strip. It could be a bad launch or something. I do not think exhaust system would only affect 0.1 sec, Dude!
-
Ahh, that's the word! Resonator! I have been speaking Indonesian for so long, sometimes I can't find the right words I wanted to use... Sorry, Dude... My bad!
-
Flames are not dependant on the muffler, dude... It's more a system thing, how you program your ECU... No, terrance... making a car sounds loud does not necessarily makes it run faster. However, fast car does sound loud!
-
In terms of performance, yes. It is more breatheable (as I call it) at the higher rpm. You can feel it. But you would suffer just a tiny bit down low. As for the sounds, it has a huge diffrence if you do not put a cat in there.
-
It depends. If you choose not to put a cat, then yes it is going to be loud. I got a 3-3/4 inch pipe all the way through with with a big tip, and it doesn't sound loud at all. It makes deep, bassy sounds, naturally, more than standard system. But not that loud. The thing is, I put two cats in there. One at the original spot and another one somewhere near the fuel tank.

I am really sorry to hear you Dude. I know how it feels. I got my Beemer busted once. My friend accidentally left a cell phone in the car. They smashed my window, took the phone and my sunglasses. I f I see the glasses, I would recognize it right away and I'd get his ass! It was one of a kind, as Fila does not sell sunglasses back in '96 in Aussie. Second time, it was cell phone again. It wasn't visible from the outside as I hide it somewhere in the cabin! Yet, they manage to steal them anyway. It was silenced and I left the car for only 5 mins!

I think they deserve to give us back what they took from us after we do that... don't you think?
-
What is it with these guys these days? I know that earning money is getting harder and harder everyday, but do they ever realize that WE EARN OURS and they are trying to get something they do not deserve? I hate these kinds of people, it happens everywhere. Not only in Melbourne and Australia, but everywhere in the world!

He did not want to look at you! Usually people like that are either an arrogant bastard who thinks you are a street punk, or he KNOWS he's wrong but he's too ****in' pride to say sorry...
-
As far as I can remember, it's should be an exhaust problem... Try getting a big diameter exhaust and it should improve, especially at the higher RPM range...
-
Yes, and I love the 350GT with thtat 8-speed sequential gearbox... Gotta have one of those someday... At least, it's a better option than an auto-HSV... Hehehe...
-
3.5lt V6, non-turbo... Coupe and sedans... Making more torque than the 25GT-t R34 with more or less the same BHP figures... Looks really sweet, and IT'S NOT A DISGRACE! Wait till you see what they are doing to the car... The GT-R is not due until at least late next year or something...
-
nope, I don't think so... and only a handful of them can cut it...
-
Take care, Dude! I hope you have a great time over there...
-
Ah, yes! I'm in Jakarta, Indonesia, by the way... It's really sad to know that they don't even know a GTS-t is turbocharged. How ignorance can they get? Probably the constant heat in the region don't attract that many followers for the Skylines... It's humid, too! I don't know, is humidity should be an advantage or disadvantage for a turbo car?

I was supposed to be back in Melbourne last week, but work commitment forced me to stay like 5 months longer here!!! I missed my car badly! And there is no decent Skyline over here... There is a 1000BHP R34 GT-R, but I've never seen it on the street! And the one I saw was a V-Spec II, but the owner don't have the faintest clue what he got! And he's an arrogant dickhead, too! A couple of GT-t, but they are all done up for shows... What's happening here??? Don't anybody understand what Skyline is all about??? I need help... or THEY NEED HELP???

Try either Blackburne Nissan, Camberwelll or Ferntree Gully...

Hoddle Street, Midnight last night - was anyone there?
Shiro replied to Baron Bohr's topic in Victoria
Stroker kit... hmm... as I said, I've done the transplant which had a stroker kit in it... it's a 2.8 engine stroked to 3.1... mild, not wild... Reliability is a problem now, after 9 years... but prior to this, it is a perfect car with virtually zero maintenance apart from normal servicing and all... But in this country, it's constantly 34 degree celcius throughout the day... maybe get down to around high-20s at night... -

Oh, okay... My brother got his since November '01... bought the kit off a guy in California... Well, I'll be very interested to know what the workshop is doing to your car for that kinda horsepower in a 325... Unless you changed the whole unit or turbocharging it to the max... I still keep my E36,with an engine transplant... It's virtually trouble free for the last 9 years... but age has been catchingup real fast lately... Reliaboility is an issue... Turbocharging it, however, is a different story... Good luck...
