    Japanese Beer

Im in Japan at the moment on holidays, in Hokkaido. Went to the sapporo beer factory and museum two days ago, was pretty good. Afterwards had a tasting, 3 beers for 400 yen. Having now tried all the beers available out of the street vending machines, I think Sapporo Draft is the best. easy drinking, not too out there and really impressive. Rhett
  2. Well I'm in Japan snowboarding at Niseko... Its been snowing all week, with waist deep powder in places. So my Thursday has been pretty good so far. Went to super autobacs the other day, was interesting. Went to go to UP Garage too but got hella lost... Rhett

Pool party, so it will likely snow. ...at the least the nipples will be stiff.
  8. People do this all the time.
  9. Dont get a non-turbo. Resale value would be nothing, you will not find it fast enough or at all fast with the rb20DE. You cant make a non-turbo R32 into a similar car to the turbo model with $1500. Things like brakes and some interior parts etc are different. You sound like you have had some driving experience. How old are you, what is your insurance rating/no claim bonus? Insurance wont be much cheaper for the non-turbo car, if at all. Its still an import. 3rd party is not worth it, you'll be paying over $500 a year for it anyway, for $3000 to $5000 cover. You will be suprised how reasonable insurance is for R32's for people in low risk suburbs with good insurance history and above 21. Rhett
  10. Damn I thought it was going to be a Michael Jackson tribute or something.
  11. PS there are multiple threads on the forum about insurance, including a stickied thread. Have a good look around and you will find the info you need.
  12. Your sound system or anything else inside the car is not covered for theft. And if your car gets stolen you will get $5000 - excess ($2250) - premium ($540) = $2210 Would you be happy with making a claim after paying your $540 premium and being told that you only get $2210 for your stolen pride an joy? I dare say the sound system would probably be worth that much. Go full comp... or get another car until you ar off your P plates. That way you will have (hopefully) built up some no claim bonus and will be paying less than $1500 a year. Rhett
  13. I'd presume funky with an f...
  14. Payment made. Thanks, Rhett
  15. ... shudders at the thought of someone calling an R32 GTR "pretty"
  16. What happened to your other rim?
  17. Mate i'm keen on just the stock cooler piping. I'll give you $25 posted to 3931. Looking at the australia post website postage should be around $5-10. And you can keep the cooler... :-) Cheers, Rhett
  18. What fuel economy do you get?
  19. 1. Keep the stock BOV. 2. Yes some aftermarket BOV have both atmo and plumb back outlets. 3. PLumb back BOV (including the stock one) make a noise when driving, especially if a pod filter is fitted too.
  20. or go for a r32 rb25DE non turbo model...
  21. Do you always swear that much when buying cars?
  22. If you read the restrictions carefully at stage 3 there is no washing of cars at home at all, except for headlights, windows and mirrors. Only at commercial car washes. So the high pressure bucket thingo is still illegal. At stage 2 at home you can use a bucket or high pressure cleaner and a hose only for rinsing. So its legal until 1st Jan. IMHO I think people should get a certain number of tokens when the register their car, say 6 a year. That way people can only wash their cars once every 2 months etc. or more often in summer and dont wash it all winter etc. Going 2 months between washes is easy as. Rhett
  23. Stock for an r32 is 100% 10psi. It sound like the wastegate is stuck closed, or is not opening properly. As people have said before, check the vacuum hose going to the wastegate actuator to see if it is leaking (or not even there).
  24. yeah what you are experiencing is absolutely totally normal for a turbo car.
  25. Ill give you $20 for the stock intercooler piping, and ill come and pick it up. Thanks, Rhett
