  1. yeah i'd do it.... if it was free.
  2. He already said that the pic isnt of the actual car he was looking at (r34 gtt) but of another car just to show where the pink bits were. Its probably from a wrecker. But at least you know the parts were changed then hey? IMHO i dont see it as being a bad thing, or a good thing either way.
  3. What supporting mods do you have? R32 gtst run standard 10psi so you are pretty close to the limit alreadt for a stock car. Unless you have a full 3 inch exhaust and intercooler i wouldnt try to increase the boost at all.
  4. Mine blows 22 degrees. Obviously not working... Better get it fixed before summer.

    Driving Lights

Yeah the lights on skylines are fog lights, they point downwards. You can therefore use them whenever you want, as they dont point into peoples eyes. I hate it when people whinge about people having their lights on during the day. It is impossible to blind someone even with high beams on when the sun is up.
  6. I too got the 5 inch metal cat and the split dump pipe. I figured for a little more money i'd never have to change it again, no matter what power levels i decided on aiming for. Also, your cat is always going to be the biggest restriction in your exhaust, so why not get the best one? An extra $200 now for a better cat when you've probably spent over a grand for the rest of the exhaust easy. I notice a fair increase in power from the two together. Hard to say how much, but they say that to notice a change in power it would be in the range of 10-20kw more?? Also, the 5 inch cat (with the split dump) sits closer to the body of the car than the stock pipe and cat, but as it is bigger hangs about 1cm lower too (in my case). So no real difference, however it does scrape on my driveway sometimes (but so did my stock one.) Rhett
  7. Try: Just Cars Famous or Shannons Insuring it in a parents name wont work. Insure it under your name so you can build up no claim bonus yourself. Have you had a car insured in your name before? If so, you should have some no claim bonus available to use (even if you only had 3rd party insurance). If not, suck it in and pay for the damn insurance.

    Leaving Job

Yeah mate no notice needed if youre casual, so walk out at the start of the day if you dont care... If you do care then it would be nice to give them 2 weeks notice (or however far ahead the rosters are done).

    Leaving Job

Wow you must be important at your workplace, thats crazy. Its about the only time its good to be a casual worker. I had a guy a few weeks ago give two weeks notice, then just walk out after the first 5 mins of his shift saying "i cant be f@$ked any more". Then he rang up looking for a reference!!
  10. Subject : Hey, From Australia and going to Tokyo One problem, I am black... does that make a difference? I say: Maybe with extra whitening cream?! haha Only joking – not offence! I am know you are a good man. Too late Shan, we all know that you have already posted...
  11. If you are referring to my experience, it fitted perfect, i just had to get a slightly shorter bolt for one of the holes (or cut a little off the end of the old one). I also found that with the new dump and metal cat, my ground clearance was better than with my stock cat. I got it fitting by a workshop though, cost $80 or so. Well worth it.
  12. Hi all, Just thought I'd post that I got a stainless split front/dump and metal cat from Michael a few months ago in one of the other group buys. Finally fitted it on Friday. Very impressed, there has been a noticable increase in power, it spools louder and it seems that there is none of the choking at high rpm like before (used to feel like the engine was struggling to breath at high rpm) Installed easily, only two issues - needed to go and buy new bolts for the cat - as the r32 gtst cat bolts are studs with threaded holes. and had to replace one of the bolts that goes into the turbo with a shorter bolt, as i couldnt fit the original one back in as the wastegate pipe was in the way. Other than that easy as install... Rhett
  13. IMHO Blaupunkt are a good quality brand. My headunit is a Blaupunkt florida which i bought second hand in 2000 from Cash Converters for $200 and its still in my car now, working perfectly. Looks better than all those other crap head units out their with their flashy LCD animations and all that...
  14. Make sure you try the seats before you buy them, as many of the jap seats are very skinny. Some of them (i think Bride do at least) have two different seat widths, so us Aussies and Americans can fit our fat arses in them.
  15. I'll translate it when i get home from work. I knew that Major in Indonesian language would come in handy at some point in time.
  16. So do they just hook on to the window sills? How much if you dont mind me asking? are they easily removable? Always thought about roof racks for my line. Its pretty ridiculous going surfing with 2 boards across the passenger seat and my mate sitting behind me in the driver side rear seat.
  17. The Kakimoto Racing wheels are rad... and expensive.
  18. Its funny that V power racing is more expensive than V power when all they have done is take 5% of the expensive 98 octane petrol out and put in 5% ethanol which is very cheap... Really, V power racing should be CHEAPER than V power, as it has ethanol in it.
  19. PICSORBAN Imagine pulling out in your uninsured POS and crashing into that....
  20. I know what I want for my birthday next year!! No not an echo. oohh lets do a SAU day...

    Northern Nissan

Well it usually cost $400-500 just to do the timing belt, so that would have been a large part of your cost. Plus a few hundred for the fluids depending what you put it and another hundred for the plugs if you got platinum ones. So in short, no.
  22. Well the R32 gtr is 0.4 apparently. http://www.thegodzilla.com/r32-gtr-skyline-specs.php
  23. Well your car would still be 4wd then wouldn't it? Instead of 2wd with all the weight of a 4wd without the grip?
  24. Get a compression test done to see how the engine is holding up. That would be your main concern with a car that has done a few kms. Otherwise, looking at the pics and your descriptions it sounds pretty good. If the compression test comes back good I'd say its worth $11k. Stuff like the steering wheel, little rust spot and the sketchy paint on top of the doors have to be expected with a 13 year old car. And wont cost much to fix up if you can be bothered. In my opinion its better to start with a nice base car then modify if you want then get a dodgier already modified one for around the same price. After all, the real value of the car is in the quality of the car itself rather than the mods that are on it.
  25. Alot of people have always said this would be a problem, its good to have some proof. Also, you turned your engine off at 110km/h? Thats brave... no power steering etc.
