  1. Some people are such whingers. IMHO people should be allowed to wash their cars more than once every 2-3 months. Any more than that is just greedy. This country is pretty much stuffed in terms of water.. Desalinisation might have to be part of the solution but it isnt a good one. The desal plants use heaps of electricity, more electricity, more pollution, more greenhouse gasses, less rain, less water.... people just need to use less, queensland needs to stop farming rice and cotton, irrigated agriculture needs to be heavily reduced. Apparently it takes 600 litres of water to make 1kg of rice in QLD. Here in Vic 20% of our whole states water usage is farmers irrigating grass to grow cows on!! melbourne only uses 20% itself.
  2. You may as well import a race-only car, no need to pay compliance rego etc... Heres a 1994 mazda rx7 turbo for $7000 which would do alright i reckon. or get a heavily modified r32 from japan race only. http://www.prestigemotorsport.com.au/modul...hp?StockID=4110
  3. Sweet as... 2008 - maybe I'll be rich enough by then to be able to afford one. Better start saving.
  4. The bonnet fits, just need the gtr bonnet latch for the front (and the grill if you want). The side skirts will need work too, as the gtr rear and front guards are wider. Just put the gtst side skirts on, they look better anyway IMHO. The front bar fits but not perfectly, many people on these forums have done this. The big plus from using a genuine GTR front bar (as opposed to a fibreglass GTR copy designed fot GTSt) is that it is made from plastic and therefore a million times stronger.
  5. Mine are within a mm or two. It also looks as if the previous owner maybe filed down the Nissan letters a bit, but not exactly sure.
  6. My r32 gtst has 8 inch wide fronts and 9 inch wide rears, with 225 and 235/17 tyres respectively. In my case, there is no way any wider wheels will fit with stock guards/no rolling etc. Brake caliper clearance is another thing altogether, its not s omuch about the width of the wheel, but more the design of the spokes and the offset etc.
  7. By double rims he would have meant "two piece rims" that is it is made from two separate pieces, the round bit with the tyre on it and the bit that attaches to the car.
  8. I dont sell why this fuel isnt cheaper than regular 98 octane????/ Its got 5% ethanol in it, which is a lot cheaper than petrol.. So really they are just ripping people off. I have been using Boost98 from United petrol stations lately. Its 98 octane and it costs the same as regular 91 octance petrol, cause it had 10% ethanol. Thats the way it should be done, a good fuel for a cheaper price rather than a hyped-up fuel for a ridiculous price.
  9. DJRIFT - everywhere have the Type-M rotors, just look on the DBA website for their catalogue. When i got my new rotors, most places I rang either had them in stock or could get them in 1 day.
  10. Or you could just upgrade the brakes... you'll need R34 GTT brakes if you are using the Neo engine, they arent very expensive, and you can sell your r32 gtst brakes to some S13 hoon too.
  11. Yeah but the car in the official pic sits pretty high when you look at the gap between the tyres and wheels. My car would be a few centimetres lower than that - therefore the front bar is going to be way to low... 3-4cm clearance is not enough im afraid for a daily driver. :-(
  12. Hey NathR32 (or PSYMON), What's the clearance under the front of the Do luck front bar like? I was thinking about getting one (its also my fav r32 front bar) but the clearance really scares me from the official Do luck pictures - my car is about as low as Psymons... Cheers, Rhett
  13. Your pictures remind me of this picture i got emailed a while back, of the guy selling the table on ebay... Do you see what I mean? <Edit> Photo removed due to nudity <Edit> yeah oops sorry.. Rhett
  14. Exhaust wise, your best bet would be starting with getting a cat back. Have a look in the for sale threads for second hand cat backs, dont get a cannon style one if you want it to be quiet. Should be less than $500 easy. 3" is perfecto. Then replace the dump/front pipe with either a 3" dump/front pipe in one or better still a split 3" dump/front in one. $200-400. Then replace your cat with either a high flow or one of the new metal substrate ones. $200-450. And whola, one turbo back exhaust.
  15. But on the flipside your 93 car is now worth more than a 91 car, and would be insured for more money too, probably a grand or so more.
  16. I went through this a while ago when i almost bought a car from NSW to bring to Vic. Cant remember exactly what happens, but the current owner gets a pro rata refund for the CTP and the rego, as the car/bike etc is going interstate. So make sure they take that into account. I'm pretty sure it all happens when they return the plates to the RTA or whoever.
  17. If you have a stock FMIC it wont matter, its all about the number of modifications you have. So pods on GTR=OK.
  18. I think the car is worth that much money. Custom paint body kit plenty of good mods rebuilt engine etc etc... People expect too much these days. Fair enough you can get type m r32s for $10k, but it would be a piece of shit. Even a $12k one will need some work
  19. 1 intake mod is allowed in vic, so it should pass, as long as you dont have a fmic. my car passed a road worthy with a pod, but the old owner had to get it so it could have been a dodgy. PS is anyone elses quick reply and quote buttons not working?
  20. Refused - New Noise for the heavier moments. Any aussie hip-hop - Jase connection or Art of War are my favs at the moment. But Jurassic 5 is awesome too, I drove with a mate across 11 states of America over 10 days with only 1 CD - it was jurassic 5 - and didnt get sick of it at all. Well maybe a little sick of it, but its great driving music.
  21. Yes. All boost controllers are illegal. The question is how well is it hidden?
  22. There is a massive thread about them in the stagea section. Quite a few people have them. I've got one, its been sitting on my desk in my bedroom for over a year now, eventually i'll put it on my car. They work exactly the same way as a SAFC. If you have done a bit of soldering before they arent hard to put together, just take your time and pay attention. And heaps cheaper than SAFC, there is a group buy at the moment through funkymonkey if you need to get one. Rhett
  23. What car do you have? Usually AAMI doesnt touch imports, thats what Just cars is for. They are the same company anyway.
  24. yeah i guess its sort of the same down here on the Peninsula. I mean once i went out with a chick from Frankston, and my parents really frowned about that.... I guess we both looked the same to the outside world. Except i wasnt missing any teeth.
  25. find a wiring diagram, there are heaps of link, search for ecu pinout or something like that. Narrow-band AFR gauges...... the new neons?
