I work for an air compressor company, we use as a rule of thumb that for every 3 degree increase in inlet temperature, you lose 1% of your output power. Intercoolers arent magic, they cant cool the air back down to the ambient temperature, so you may as well start with the coolest air possible.

85% engineered! Yeah good one.... cant see any mention of any brake upgrade, and im pretty sure the stock aussie r31 brakes wouldnt be up to the task of matching the 5.7L V8! He's probably selling it coz he got busted and cant get it engineered, or it was going to cost a fortune.

Hey all, I made 128.3rwkW in my r32 gtst. I was really happy with that, only mods are catback and pod filter. Thanks to Nige and Gerald and Ash and whoever else was involved in the organisation of the day - i had a great time and it all went really smoothly. It was a shame i rooted the calibration of my DFA so couldnt get it tuned on the day. I fixed it when i got home, it was calibrated so the output voltage was constantly a fair bit lower than it should have been, resulting in the car running lean all the way through the rev range by about 1AFR. Ill post the dyno graph at some stage, its quite remarkable how similar the AFR traces are, only shifted upwards. Thanks to nige again for spending extra time on me and my car on the day, much apprieciated. And to all those people who say screamer pipes on stock internal gate turbos sound shit, I thought Matts car sounded awesome! It was pretty funny when the cops rocked up, noise complaints in an industrial estate on a saturday? I think they must have just smelled the wang burgers! Rhett

I use mine all the time i have my normal headlights on, which is basically whenever im not wearing my sunnies.... And im sure there is a difference between FOG and DRIVING lights. FOG lights are yellow and can only be used in foggy conditions. DRIVING lights are normal coloured (white) and can be used ALL THE TIME. (just like normal headlights) Ive never seen a skyline with yellow fog lights...

Yeah the last issue was the one with the Pink drift silvia on the front and the story about the SAU-Vic great ocean road cruise. Its a shame that its gone, i only started reading it and found it better than HPI. And my car was in a few pics in the last issue (albeit in the background!)... maybe my car will become a collectors edition.

Straight from my Just cars policy: "The following must be fitted to the car for any claim to be payable in the event of theft or attempted theft: IMMOBILISER" So you dont need an alarm, just an immobiliser. But that said you should get one, you dont want your pride and joy to be stolen. Plus the excess on theft (for me at least) is about $2000

Are you talking about insurance? Coz it would be a damn shame to be forking out $3000 a year for insurance for a few years just to finally make a claim and have it rejected because you wanted a carbon bonnet.

Hey guys, found my old grey genuine Nissan dash mat from my local R31 when i was cleaning out my room today, does anyone want it? Preferrably someone who will actually use it... I'll be at the SAU-Vic dyno day next sat, if you want to pick it up from me then. Its grey, in pretty good condition, needs a good gently clean and maybe an iron if youre really keen. Thanks, Rhett

Bonnet pins are defectable, at least they are in victoria. But i suppose youre not too worried about that, having a carbon bonnet and all.

Yeah but its an impulse type turbine, not an axial flow type, so that wont do. Cant think of any other reasons why not though.

Series 1 r32 gtst (89-91) had the clear-ish indicators i think you are referring to.

Are Nismo and N1 models different or the same kettle of fish so to speak?
