  1. put the stock bov back on. Why create a problem for yourself? Why spend money on fixing the problem when you can fix it for free (or make money by selling the bov?)
  2. Check out the thread on the Jaycar stuff in the Stagea subforum
  3. Tell him he's dreaming, less than $10k i reckon. Its NA Its got heaps of kms - you will have to fork out another $1k for the 200k service etc. Its only GC. In a few years it wont be worth anything.
  4. I cant believe the guy admitted fault! Does he have insurance? If so, just go through them and they will pay you out relatively quickly. Insurance companies dont like it when you admit fault to an accident, it says in their handbooks NEVER to do it.
  5. Ive never been able to put more than about 50L into my r32 gtst. Goes about 400-450km per tank.
  6. IN the boot, between the strut towers. Yes you can see it.

    Jingle Bells...

Maybe you should organise a group buy? Sort of like a standard issue SAU-vic gift hamper, with something in it for a dad/grandpa, mum/grandma, brother and a sister...
  8. I cant find the receipt but im pretty sure my rb74 for the front of my r32 gtst were about $150 delivered. I got a quote for them via email, they were pretty quick. I think they replied in 1 or 2 days, a heap better than most companies out there who just bin all there email inquiries.
  9. Hey, your the 4th Rhett ive met. It took me until i was 18 to meet another person called Rhett.
  10. When i bought my hankook ventus k104s the guy at the shop said hankook had been doing a lot of work to improve their sidewalls. Mine have lasted 20000 kms very well so far, and ive hit many a pot hole.
  11. Get your racebrakes pads from www.racebrakes.com.au May as well get them from the people who make them.
  12. ... and dont the aftermarket ones have to be destroyed?
  13. If you go to autobarn or where ever you should be able to look the part number for a fuel filter up in the book. The one without the bend in the pipe is for 300zx i think.
  14. So you are looking for a non-turbo? Both the GTS and the GTS4 are non-turbo i hope you know.
  15. I got my exedy Heavy duty clutch kit for $375 new from a friend of a friend who works at daiken. The ones for sale from C & B have a pressure plate that is made by RPM, not exedy/daiken. Im not sure if this makes them better or worse, or cheaper etc., just stating the facts.
  16. Well if you want it, buy it. In the long run saving 2 grand isnt much comapred with getting a good quality car thats not going to stuff up in a week. I bought mine for $16.5 two years ago, and im still happy. Nothing has gone wrong with it except for needing a new clutch.
  17. Try changing the oxygen sensor (in the dump pipe back from the turbo). Do a search on oxygen sensor or lamda sensor. For your information, i get about 450km from a tank.
  18. So how does it go? Can you notice a difference? Was it difficult to fit? I'd be interested in taking this part with my r32, until i can afford to go fmic with front bar etc.
  19. Well im 23 now and rating 1, paying $900 a year with just cars.
  20. Hey sorry didnt realise. Thats strange, famous couldnt match my just cars quote when i first got my r32 gtst - $1700, rating 3, 21 years old. full comp.
  21. If your alarm meets the Aus Standards it will be displayed prominantly on the box and manual im sure. Ive had Cyclops alarms in the past, which are Australian made and AS approved.
  22. Ive got the IEBC and DFA. Both work, but as yet have not been installed and tuned. Building the kits was not that hard, but i have done a little bit of soldering before and was VERY careful and checked everything as i did it.
  23. Yeah careful with this, nowhere does it say the controller has to be plugged in first. I didnt plug it in beforehand the first time and i spent ages trying to work out what was wrong... then i plugged it in and it was working all along.
  24. Ive got an Ultra brand speed meter that removes the speed limiter, you should be able to pick up a second hand one pretty cheap if you dont want to spend the money on a Apexi RSM
  25. No offence mate but i think $5500 for comprehensive insurance on an R33 gtr for a 21 year old is good value. And of course they arent willing to negotiate, why would they? Your insurance premium is worked out by using a formula, that includes things like your age, your insurance history, your no claim bonus, the cost and type of car, where you live, whether the car is garaged, how many mods etc etc...
