  1. I'd say the wiring is hooked up wrong. It prob has the +12V attached to the temp sensor signal wire? Or maybe its really hot?
  2. funny i cant really make it out but I'd say that is a non-turbo. Its probably an auto too, and would have about as much power as any recent Corolla.
  3. My Federal 595SS in 235/45R17 seem fine and were about $145 each fitted.

    Snow Chains

Its a $2200 fine for not carrying chains above the snow line (even if you have a 4WD car and don't need to fit them). A friend of mine has used two circles cut out of one of those blue sleeping mats and he swears by it. For sizes, the link below is the sizing chart for Konig chains (one of the most popular brands). I got some for the Stagea last time I went up in size 100 to suit 235/45R17 tyres and there was no problem with availability. My wheels are the RS4s/R34 GTT 17x7". But I'm glad I didnt have to fit them as I'm sure they would have rubbed on my guards and hit the seat of the shocks. You might struggle with anything bigger though. I'd recommend ringing ahead. http://www.snowchains.com.au/sitebuilderco...igcarchains.pdf That said, which wheels have people fitted chains to on ATTESSA equiped cars? My (poorly translated) Stagea owners manual mentions to only fit them to the front wheels, then in the next section contradicts itself and says only fit them on the rear wheels. I think it might be a translational error and the rear wheel fitting refers to 2WD Stageas. I would imagine that fitting the chains to the front wheels is the way to go.
  6. 6 months ago I would have bought your car for $17000 (now I have an RS4-S myself). If there is someone in Melbourne looking for a RS4-S you will sell it easily. If there's not, it might take a while. It just depends who is looking to buy, and how long you can afford to wait. When I was looking there were only 2-3 RS4-S for sale in Melbourne over a period of 3-4 months, all the cars that were from dealerships are still for sale.
  7. Thanks guys. I've got onto Gary and have ordered new Bilsteins for the rear. The car has Koni adjustables at the moment. Seems the rear ones worn out and aren't providing anywhere near enough dampening. Once I get the new ones installed I'll try to have a look and see exactly what went wrong with them. (although I think they are over 40,000km old now, I've only had the car for the last 3,000kms).
  8. Hi guys, Having looked through over 40 pages of posts in the suspension thread, I need a definite answer on what shocks fit the rear of a 1999 RS4-s Stagea. I've learned that they are the same as in an 260RS, so they have the forked bottom (not the bushed bottom like the auto C34 stageas). Does anyone know who can supply direct-fit aftermarket shocks (locally?) that would fit? I would like the part number for the Bilstein ones from SK's old group buy if possible. Cheers, Rhett
  9. I've done it a few times and have always managed to push them back in by using a tyre iron or a big spanner and levering it.
  10. Wow this stuff is still sitting in my bedroom a year later. Does anybody want it? Make an offer.
  11. Just saw in your other thread Califunky that those exhausts are for a C34 Stagea. Houdini's looks to be a newer M35 Stagea. And turbo charged cars dont require any exhaust backpressure (unlike NA cars where it (can) help with cylinder exhaust gas extraction.)
  12. Take it to an auto electrician, no offence but you have no hope of fixing your car yourself.
  13. come on people Kevin Rudd just paid for 12% of your new R32.
  14. I'm an engineer with a multinational consulting firm. The US side of the business has been hit pretty hard (of course). 5% of our staff were made redundant last week (about 90 people). Worst thing was about half were new engineering graduates who will find it very hard to get a job out there whilst there are experienced people willing to work for less just to keep up with their mortgages. Good thing is in Vic we didn't lose anyone, as we mainly deal in government infrastrusture unlike other states who are more mining and minerals etc. All I can say is bring on the Desal plant!
  15. Big Kev the second is paying for my Power-FC re-tune for my RS4s as at the SAU-Vic dyno day my peak power was only 110awkw at 4000rpm and the power went down from there?
  16. I was playing bball at MSAC back in 2007 but managed to snap my leg in half (tibia and fibula bent 90 degrees) with 1 minute to go down by 1 point... that sucked balls.
  17. R32 GTS-t and GTS4 are totally legal under the old power-to-weight laws.
  18. Hi all, a few more photos of the engine bay as requested. Cheers, Rhett
  19. I've just dropped the price to $8000 as is. I might leave it another few weeks and if I haven't sold it by then will look at getting a RWC. Yeah its fine on fuel, was often getting 480-530 kms at tank. I'll post up an engine pick once I get home. No cooler pipe on drivers side, thats the factory driving lights. It has an R34 GT-T sidemount cooler in the stock position with modified pipework, cannot tell its not stock at all, and good for 200rwkW.l
  20. open to offers if anyone is interested
  21. No interest out there? Would roadworthy make it more appealing?
  22. Alrighty I'm going to emerge from my black hole and run my new car! See if the Stagea can out-muscle a few R34 GT-Ts...
  23. Hi guys, Well after almost 6 great years its come time to sell my skyline, since I have a shiny new RS4-S Stagea. Its a 1992 R32 GTSt Type-M 5 speed in white. Rego until May 2009. It has done 177,000 kms. I've had it since 2003 when it came in from Japan as a 70,000 km rating 4 car (still have auction sheets). I had it dynoed last year and it ran at 155 kW (since then has new coils and GTR fuel pump). List of factory features include: Upgrade factory option interior (GTR cloth - looks so much better than the normal black) Type-M so has the 4 pot front brakes and the crome grille insert. Interior goodies: Sparco steering wheel Pivot electronic stepping boost gauge Ultra Speed meter with speed limiter removal and 0-400 timer Ultra Auto Turbo Timer JVC EXAD KD-LHX555 CD/MP3/SD card/tuner headunit which has colour touch screen and 1GB SD card included. JL Audio 6" 2-way component splits in the front JVC 6" 2-way 200W speakers in the rear Cyclops 3-point insurance and australian standard approved remote alarm/immobiliser linked to central locking, with extra PIN-operated keypad (need the number to start the car) Exterior goodies: Front and rear strut tower braces Upgraded front and rear swaybars Rose joint tie-rods in front Trust adjustable coilovers (stiff, adjustable for damping, not sure about height, but couldn't get any lower anyway) Trust Airinx pod filter Greddy pod to afm metal air intake Modified R34 GTT side mount intercooler (looks stock and good for 200kW) SSR Integral A2 lightweight japanese forged rims, 17x8" front, 17x9" back (looks fat from the back) Hankook Ventus Sport K104 tyres (probably not roadworthy) DBA 4000 series slotted rotors on front with Racebrakes RB74 performance pads Exedy heavy duty clutch GTR fuel pump 3" split SS dump/front pipe 5" metal cat cat converter 3.5" HKS cat back exhaust (not too loud) 3 month old RACV heavy duty battery Brand new Splitfire coilpacks and reconditioned ignitor module Runs stock boost at about 10psi, never been boosted above stock Free "www.skylinesaustralia.com" sticker across read window - priceless! At the moment looking to sell without roadworthy. There are a few things that would probably need to be done like new tyres and fixing an oil leak from the rocker cover gasket. The body is clean and straight but there are a few pin dents and scratches. Its never been in an accident, and had the timing belt changed at 115,000 kms so still plenty to go til the next change. Oil and oil filter replaced every 7000kms. Interior is in very good condition. $9000 firm no swaps or ridiculous offers please (although I'd love a 1988 Suzuki Alto Works RSR if anyone has one!) Car is in North Melbourne and serious test drivers welcome. PM, post, Call 0404 021 495 or email Rhett.Fraser at kbr.com Thanks, Rhett
