  1. I got quoted $190 a tyre for 235/40/17 or whatever, and that was the first place i've been to. Im sure i can get them for cheaper if i keep looking.
  2. Wanted to buy a standard R33 boost solenoid. Will pay $40+postage, or can pick up in Melbourne area. Please email [email protected] or PM me on the forums. Thanks, Rhett
  3. 9 or 9.5" wide fit on the back, as long as the offset is correct. Prob 9" on the front.
  4. Cool, start a list of people who have expressed interest. After SK results from his Stagea, there's bound to be 5 people interested in these. Rhett
  5. I'm going to install this system in my r32 gtst over the easter break, could someone explain why you need to bleed off air from the solenoid outlet? And why you need a restrictor? Shouldnt the solenoid just stop the air until you hit the desired boost, then let the air through to open the wastegate? Or have a missed something?
  6. Me! PM and ill transfer the money, just tell me how much exactly... Thanks
  7. Yes, but apparently the book helps as it contains better instructions for the kits with colour photos instead of black and white photos, and more background info?
  8. Hey Shan, After reading the other thread about these products, im after: The Independant boost controller The DFA The hand controller The cable And the book. Im happy to come and pick them up from wherever. please PM me with payment details etc. Im happy to wait for the DFA, but please order the rest asap. Thaks, Rhett
  9. Stagea? How old a car does a novated lease allow for?
  10. If your standard boost gauge (or aftermarket with sensor in the same place) is reading 14psi, that is the actual pressure at the inlet manifold. So, if there is say 3 psi pressure drop through the intercooler and piping etc, the turbo is actually running at 17psi. So if you reduce the pressure drop, the turbo doesnt have to work so hard to produce the same pressure at the inlet manifold.
  11. Having a pod filter doesnt make your car "flutter" or whatever. It makes you be able to hear the BOV venting into the intake. Im pretty sure flutter is due to air getting chopped by the compressor blades because the BOV is blocked off or too tight etc. Get a short shift kit and a rear strut brace? Copies are just as good as jap brand name parts
  12. They did it on my 92 gtst... Famous couldnt match just cars in my case
  13. He should learn to spell. And learn who the administrator is of the forum.
  14. It doesnt sound right but thats the way it is, at least in rear enders. According to the insurance company, you should have left more of a gap to the car in front of you. But if you are stopped, noone can tell you that you havent left enough space, as you arent moving. This has been the case for me as well as 2 other people i know.
  15. Cool, getting a set of 225, 235/17s in a few weeks after reading the praise in this thread for them. Would get 235 on the front and 245 at the back (as i have 8" and 9" rims front and back) but i think they might rub on the guards.
  16. Yeah Im considering getting a split dump pipe (like the ones CES and BATMBL sell) for my r32 gtst, and getting a removeable section added to the wastegate pipe. Has anyone ever done something like this? It means i can have a screamer when i want, and then change it back for when i want to be a little bit more discrete... From the vids above it should sound pretty good.
  17. Yes it definately adds performance. A good analogy is trying to suck air/water through a hose. If the hose is short, its pretty easy to do. If its too long, you cant do it at all. So saying that it makes no difference because the front pipe is still restrictive is wrong. Each part you increase the diameter of decreases the pressure drop and therefore increases performance. I think in HPI they got about 10-15kW from changing to catback and filter on an R34 GTT? Then another 6kW from the front pipe?
  18. I think you'll find he's swedish, not polish.... hehe
  19. Yeah DBA4000 slotted are cheaper than that. Unless your talking about the fronts and rears for that price?
  20. I was in a similiar accicent a few years ago, but was the car at the very front. In my case the lady that hit me from behind wasnt liable because she was at a complete stop, and then was pushed into me by a car hitting her from behind. So if you were completely stopped before you were hit from behind he should be fine. If not im sorry to say that you will probably be liable for the car in fronts' damage.
  21. I stayed at home next to the computer when she posted this so id be the first in for the side skirts.... What a waste of time, hope something bad didnt happen though.
  22. Im with Just cars, in Melbourne, R32 gtst, 22yo, lightly modded, rating 2 and i pay $1200 a year for an agreed value of $16000. I am so glad i dont live in Sydney. In Vic we have CTP like in NSW but do dont have a choice who you go with, its all included in the price of rego. (thats why rego is like $550 in here).
  23. Its been almost a month and a half, any word on them yet?
  24. Thanks, thats exactly what it is...
  25. Hate to ask of others like this but can someone run this for me? HCR32 288319 Thanks Rhett
