  1. rays outdoors corner of elizabeth and queensberry st...
  2. Well I just read through VS18 and the exact wording that they'll get you on for an aftermarket bonnet is: "An approval certificate is required for modifications to the occupant compartment and panels forward of the firewall of any passenger car manufactured after 1972" So I read that as all aftermarket bonnets, guards and front bars seem to be illegal no matter what material they are made from.
  3. An old thread but has anyone got roof racks on their stagea that are the aerodynamic type that don't poke out over the roof rails?
  4. Just cars... $1133 C34 Series 2 Stagea RS4-S insured for $19500 in Melbourne. 26, rating 1, not claims, fines or lost licences ever. Lumley was over $1250 and didn't get back to me with a quote for over a week and a half. Shannons was $1385. Once again no-one can match just cars's price for me.
  5. You're probably making 10-11psi without the boost controller now I imagine? I don't see why 12psi wouldn't be reliably achievable.
  6. The Stagea owners' manual says 4WD.
  7. The only way you will be able to drive it is if your uncle has insurance over the car and his insurance policy doesnt exclude young drivers. 1. you cannot get insurance for a car that is not in your name. 2. If it was in your name I think $20k a year is probably a reasonable premium to pay. (plus have fun paying the stamp duty to transfer the ownership!)
  8. Now sitting in my garage...
  9. Just brought a C34 RS4-S stagea and had to put new tyres on for roadworthy. Purchased a set of Federal SS595 235/45/R17 largely based on Bullet32's effort in selling them in this thread. Cost $154 each fitted and balanced, seem quite good so far for a sporty road tyre.
  10. +1 for coilpacks. Same thing happened with my gtst - it was sounding like a wrx and down on power - replaced coilpacks and the car ran better than ever.
  11. Have a look at the VicRoads website linked below - it has all the info you need about the legality of neons (and most other things including BOVs) http://www.vicroads.vic.gov.au/Home/RulesS...rdsInformation/ I'm sorry that you got a bad reaction from some of the people on the forum, but I know one of the main annoyances on this forum is people whinging about the cops when they have blatently broken the law. Its very easy to check if neons are legal, and you should have done it before spending the money and putting them on your car...
  12. I've just bought Flow NX-AT bindings. I really like them but a lot of people are scared of using them as they work differently to every other binding on the market... I got them off ebay australia cheap towards the end of last year. That said you cant really go wrong with Cartels, P1s etc. I wouldn't go anything cheaper in their range though, a friend of mine snapped a Burton Mission binding in half last year. The problem with Burton gear is that the online stores in the USA won't send burton gear to Australia, so you are stuck paying through the nose in Aus stores. Burton cartels are about US$120 but they sell for over $300 in australia, I dont see how that works.
  13. OK just answered my own question - found a piece of vacuum tube jammed down the bottom of the engine bay with both ends split. Maybe I just got out of changing the plugs... Thanks
  14. Hey guys, I'm currently putting some new spark plugs in my rb20det r32 gtst - the car had started to run crap when warm and I thought the plugs would be a good place to start. As I was having a look around under the bonnet I noticed that a vacuum hose seems to be missing. I've taken a photo of where I think it should be, can someone confirm that a hose is meant to go between here? The second one I think is a pressure regulator at the back on the engine bay? There seems to be a few clips b/t the two hose connections that aren't being used at the moment - its possible that the hose has just fallen off, I just want to check before I put one on there. Any help would be greatly appreiciated. Thanks, Rhett
  15. Hey does anyone want this stuff? I've still got it, however now I live in North Melbourne $90 ono for the sub $70 ono for the amp will do a deal for both
  16. Hey happy birthday Pat, how you been?
  17. Shhhh.... Its got a funny AV cd stacker, I think I'd prefer the guage cluster though.
  18. Yeah my mate used to live on a chicken farm, the smell is something else isn't it?
  19. Go somewhere else. The whole point of going on a dyno is to get the AFR readout.
  20. First car: R31 skyline wagon Second: R32 skyline GTSt No chance in hell my next car will be a R33 though, I think I'll skip a generation and go C34 Stagea.
  21. also they won't fit without a fair bit of guard rolling etc. 17x8 front and 17x9 rear are about as big as you can go without some body work.
  22. The only way to be sure about the kms is if you have done them all yourself. My car is up to 180,000kms, I've done the last 110,000kms myself. And the car still runs near perfect. As long as the engine has been maintained well, kms don't really matter (within reason).
  23. I'll be at a mate's bbq this year having a quiet one. Breaking my leg 3 weeks before christmas/new years is probably the worst move I've made. At least someone else has to bring me my beers from the fridge.
  24. Couldn't agree more - best first 5 minutes of a movie EVER. 65? 63. Mother of god.
  25. OK 63 mags left, come pick them all up for $70 Not selling them individually any more, waste of time.
