  1. Mine are 17 x 8" +25 (i think) on the front and 17x 9" +38, Fit perfect, as long as the tires at the rear are pretty stretched (235s at the moment). Sorry pics arent very good.
  2. About $15k will get you a good one, but it will take a while to find one in good nick.
  3. Does that mean it would be fine, as long as you tuned it carefully straight away? If true, this would be great news, as the R32 Gtst PFC is still worth about $2000 new. (compared to R33 at about $1100)
  4. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...ead.php?t=35133 There you go, there's a tutorial for this.
  5. No sorry, you're wrong. A 25mm increase in width is allowed, and up to 15mm overall increase in wheel and tyre diameter is ok. That means you can legally have 22" rims on your car, as long as you have really low profile tyres, so that the overall diameter is still similar.
  6. Ok i guess its time to put my car on the dyno. Count me in, whatever time after 10am. I'll get some money to you soon. Rhett
  7. Ive got 17x8s +32 (i think) on the front and 17x9s +38 on the back. You wont get 17x9s on the front, but they fit perfect on the back. Ive got white SSR integral A2s.
  8. 1 inch wider only.
  9. http://www.vicroads.vic.gov.au/vrne/vrnint...04A171BCD2A5F8F Have a look at this, its the Vicroads modification guide.
  10. Personal loan, therefore i own all my car but owe the bank $7000 still.
  11. Look on the Vicroads website www.vicroads.gov.au or whatever, there is a guide. In summary: Most mods are illegal: Non illegal ones sometimes include: Plumbback BOVs Intercoolers POD filters in boxes (but only 1 intake mod allowed, so pod or cooler) Wheels only1 inch wider or bigger than stock. Quiet exhausts. Gutted cats Ive thrown an illegal one in above just to test everyones general knowledge.
  12. Ooh sexy, will i get to see the new wheels in the carpark at uni sometime? I think my 9inch rears stick out a bit like that, they certainly are to wide to actually go into the wheel wells. Looks even better with no sideskirts or pods. Is that illegal? Gotta love not living in Knox.
  13. 1. A plumb back type - like the stock one. 2. Full Exhaust, intercooler, cold air intake, bleed valve, SAFC, GTR cams?, r33/r34 turbo etc. Search and you shall find. 3. Really fast ones. Maybe look in the 1/4 mile SAU list? My stock car with exhaust did 14.64 at 154km/h on my ultra speed meter, but you have to take that with a grain of salt as they say. And im not the worlds best driver.
  14. Just speak to your insurance company, give them his name, phone number and rego, and the rest is history. You will get ur money, lose no rating and he will probably get to pay it off at $20 a week over 2 years or something.
  15. I have seen 2 r32 gtst with plastic gtr bars on them, and they fit fine. No dont have photos unfortunately.
  16. It had all finished up by about 4.30. Heaps of people there early, but once it started raining you cant really blame people for not wanting to stand out in the rain. And you didnt miss out on any showbag, there werent any. But it was a good meet anyway.
  17. I just wasted half an hour, should have read the time properly. PM not AM!! See you all in 12 hours.
  18. You can either get one of those yellow things, or just get a socket that fits on a normal wrench thing. They look like normal sockets but are a bit longer and have a rubber insert for gripping the spark plug. Oh and they come in different sizes, skylines use 16mm plugs so get one that is 16mm or else its a pain in the arse putting the car back together to drive to the shops to get the right one.
  19. Well i went out and bought new BCPR6ES1.1 coppers today for my r32. Fine for about $3 each. Then went on to try and install them myself, i realised why people go with iridiums - changing the plugs is such a bastard of a job!! I gave up after 3 hours of stuffing around, you basically have to take the entire inlet piping etc off, its stupid. And all because the coil cover plate thing has a bent bit on the end, so you cant slide it out forwards. Such a stupid design. So if iridiums cost $20 each and coppers $3, and the change interval for iridiums is 40000km compared to 10000km for copper, thats alot of time saved changing, and therefore workshop costs, if you dont do it yourself. Im just going to take mine to a mechanic for the plugs in the future. My 2c.
  20. Thinking of getting emanage and Profec e-01 boost controller for my r32, how does this compare with a powerfc with hand controller and boost kit? The emanage with all options and the profece-01 work out to be cheaper than the special r32 gtst powerfc, with boost solenoid and handcontroller.
  21. Could also be a vacuum leak in the engine bay somewhere.
  22. Yeah that happened to me, the guy looked up the R32 GTR min thickness, as its the only model in the local book thing. Cant really help you though.
  23. That makes more sense, looks like i new what i wanted but had the wrong part no. Thanks.
  24. Its not something you want to "dodge" with welding and stuff, if you have an accident you might find yourself through the windscreen, still attached to your seat. The seatbelt wont help much either.
  25. Hey, I know this isnt the maintenance forum but hey vic people are friendly and knowledgable. About to get new plugs for my R32 Gtst, is pretty stock so just going to go with copper plugs. But someone said get NGK PFR5A-11 plugs and someone else said PFR6A-11 plugs. I guess these are the same apart from the heat range, so will it make a difference? Which ones should i go with? Also, is the fuel filter hard to change, and where is it located on an rb20? Fuel filter part no ive got from www.rb20det.com is 1600-53J10 Thanks, see you all sunday Rhett
