  1. If she was on her L plates than it is the fault of the supervising driver. I cant believe that a parent or anyone else for that matter who is over 21 could allow someone who is only 16/17 to drive that fast, and sit next to them in the car! Idiots They should be shot, its called euthanasia.
  2. Green as well. And yes, sunroofs and abs were optional, along with other things like upgraded Audio system (CD and speakers), leather interior, GTR-suede like interior, fog lights , front bar etc.
  3. Hey all, Ive already searched for this but couldnt find anything of much use. Also i know this is the wrong forum for this type of question but there is noone in the Audio forum at the moment and i was hoping to get a quick reply, as ive got today and tomoz off to work on my car. How do i remove the door trims from an R32 GTSt? Ive got all 5 screws from around the edge out, as well as the plastic clip things and the big screw under the arm rest, but i cant seem to be able to remove the door handle assembly. Not wanting to break it, how do i do it? Also, the rear parcel shelf speaker grilles, do i just pull them off? Or are there clips or something im not seeing. Thanks, Rhett

  5. I want the blue R32. Love that colour.
  6. There is only 1000 Nurs apparently so id keep 4 or 5 of mine stock in a sealed container and then only modify my other 2. Of course id have both a Vspec2 Nur and an Mspec Nur for daily drivers as well.
  7. After having the hardest two exams of my life last week (3rd year fluid mechanics and thermodynamics) I found it really relaxing to lay a big fat smokey burnout as i left the carpark at caulfield race course. Didnt help me get any smarter, but boy did it make me feel like a rebel that just didnt care.
  8. I'd say that you have no standing on any warranty claim at all. Tyres are not designed to be driven whilst flat, so any damage caused is not as a result of a manufacturing defect but your misuse. That is unless you can prove that the tyre went flat because of something wrong with the tyre, for example it had a leak when you bought it. Bad luck, but i think you will be buying a new tyre.
  9. The SEVS laws are national and therefore taking it to another state would not work.
  10. I second Rezz'z motion to have this thread stickied. Perhaps a name change to "Great moments in SAU History" and then others could post there favourite/memborable quotes/episodes etc. Ive only been around since Nov 2002, and still there have been a heap of improvments to this site. Well done to all involved in the actual upkeep of the forums (i guess Prank mainly?)
  11. Its my best mates going overseas indefinately going away party that night so ill have to regretfully decline ur invitation Andrew. Maybe some other time.
  12. My cars stock except for cat back exhaust and i get between 450 and 480 kms from a full tank. Its when you wind the boost up that you start using a heap of fuel.
  13. Here i was thinking this thread was going to be about a bunch of guys in turbans playing in a big bowl of ice cream - oh well.
  14. I have one that doesnt work. It just heats up really hot when ive got my driving lights on.

    Uni Dates

Any time after my last exam this Thursday. As funky and ted said, i think we are all willing to give up afew classes to go on a cruise or something, just not during exams or the last few weeks of semester when we get reamed by assignments etc.
  16. Yeah I just got the filter oil from autobarn, i think they sell a k&n kit that has the oil and the filter cleaner stuff together. Man mine was dirty when i cleaned it, it probably had 12 years of crap built up in it!
  17. I used a gear puller and it took me about 10 minutes to take my wheel off, turn my boss kit around so the wheel would be straight, and then put my wheel back on. Having the right tools make it so easy.
  18. I have the exact same "airinx" Trust pod as you, and it does require oiling, apparently. I was going to buy a new element for it instead, but cant find anyone that can supply them.
  19. Make sure its still a reasonable amount though, or else they'll catch you and make you pay more anyway. When i bought my R32 i put the correct price and they still questioned it. It turns out they only have aussie delivered R32 GTRs in their "book." So once they realised it was only a GTSt, it was fine. Another thing that you might want to think about is that you may have to provide proof of purchase price to get agreed-value car insurance. I had to to insure mine through just cars. Otherwise you might be stuck with market value which sucks, as it decreases pretty quickly for imported cars.
  20. The guy that used to own my car had it serviced at South melbourne Mechanics. Thats all i know about them, but if youre stuck you might want to check them out.
  21. Bad luck man, join the www.mybadgesgotstolenatMonashUni.com club. Its really cool, i got to become a member a few months ago when some fu(k3r stolen my GT badges at clayton campus.
  22. Japanese GTS-x r31 skylines had Rb20DET engines, there is no factory car that has an RB30DET engine. The only turbo RB30 is the engine in the VL Commodore turbo which was a RB30ET. The GTS1 and GTS2 are australian. Local R31 have 4 studs, i think that turbo jap R31 have 5 studs. Jap r31 coupes and the 4 door passage have pillarless doors. Go to www.r31skylineclub.com , you will probably get a better response over there than here if ur talking about r31s.
  23. On a more mechanical and less car-orientated note, a thrust bearing is the same as a standard bearing or radial bearing, except withstands axial force. That is a force pushing towards it along its axis rather than down on top of it radially. See uni does come in handy sometimes.
  24. Happy 21st Max, now ur just another one of us over the hill 21 year olds.
  25. If you really cant find them in Aus, maybe get an importer like UPI or whoever to import you some. It might take a while but youll definately be able to get some, and they might even be cheaper, as i imagine there is quite a strong demand for them over here.
