  1. What is this e-cutout that you speak of?
  2. Are you sure your car is really 94? I thought they stopped producing GTSt's in 93? I think they only kept producing R32 GTRs as the R33 GTR wasnt ready yet? Im probably wrong though? In japan i think they date your car from when it was sold, not when it was made.

    New to Vic!

There are white lines spaced 400m apart or so and the police it in a helicopter and time how long it takes you to go 400m. If your under a certain time, they get a car down the road to pull you over. They did it alot last year, especially over the easter long weekend. You can still see the lines on the Esplanade between mt martha and safety beach and on Mooruduc Rd between Mornington tyabb road and bentons rd. What a waste of money, it probably costs them $4k an hour to keep a helicopter in the air.
  4. Take out your left hand fog lamp and/or the black plastic fog lamp surround. Thats it.
  5. I thought turbo timers were legal, as long as they have a handbrake and speed override. ie if handbrake goes off or speed is greater than 0 then motor shuts off? This is what happens with my turbo timer, i think i got this info from these forums so its probably wrong.
  6. I know a few people who did uni subjects in year 12 and they all got marks of 95-100. Its coz uni is so much easier than year12. dark im sure youll go better than you think up against all those uni students who just drink all the time.
  7. No one can import 91 R32's as Nissan sold them in australia (well the GTR at least). Under SEVS the oldest R32s you can import are June 92 models. Either that, or get an 89.
  8. That white car looks damn similar to my car. I also have the upgrade interior, the high stop light in the spoiler and fog lamps like that. But i have aftermarket wheels, i dont have a special key and my gt badges are either repainted or not the gold ones. So maybe im not special afterall. Do all R32s have a crome grill trim? You know the little bit under the bonnet lip? Or is this special?
  9. Classic!! Think i might go get a 2L bottle of coke and go "supersonic."
  10. Good post guilty. Sock - get an ING account - itll help you save faster. Working in order to save for something is good coz it gives you a sense of purpose when ur stacking those shelves at Coles. You have the money sooner than you think.' $15k isn't much to spend on a car, with say $10k of it on loan you should be able to pay it back in 2 years if u work 15 hours a week - easy. For $15k you could get a R32 or R33 GTSt (same price thesedays as r33 more common) or a Hyundai Getz. I know which car i would get. That is all.

  12. Hey, being a uni student myself i think i have to rebut your argument there adz. Most uni students work as well, im working 1 full time job at the moment over summer plus my usual 15 hour a week casual job. Ive only had 2 weeks holiday, if u can count working 15 hours a week a holiday. Also, having a fulltime job is pretty cruisy if u have one of those jobs where you just drop everything at 5pm and go home. Your weekend is yours, after work you never have homework, its pretty easy. But i do agree that dealing with customers is worse than uni. Exspecially working at a resturant and having to explain to a pregnant lady why there is a little sharp piece of plastic in her caesar salad.
  13. That sounds like a pretty good idea. The car is aus delivered, im not sure but i think he has a liberty engine conversion or something?
  14. My car had RB74s on it when i got it and they work really well, i have white wheels and have just given up on keeping them clean. Anyway, brake dust is the sign of a true street racer, or so ive heard. I also just got my discs machined for $100 the lot, after i could hardly keep my foot on the brake pedal as it vibrated so much. Work awesome now, almost forgot what it was like to be able to stop quickly. PS how much were the RB74's?
  15. Coincidence? The bottom of the windscreen is definately a high pressure area, i was taught this at Uni in fluid mechanics, so there! Thats why there are intake vents for the air con etc there. Raising the back of the bonnet may cause hot air to escape whilst the car is stationary, but when going along not air would come out that way. Its possibly that cold air would go in that way, but probably not with all the air being forced in through the grill/radiator etc.
  16. I have 2 horns, does that count? Rezz, i will take a photo in the next few days, if ur offer of translating is still on the table.
  17. If it only happens when the car is cold, its probably the ecu trying to stop the turbos making boost whilst the oil is still cold. My car does it, until the oil pressure gauge starts falling the car makes no boost at all, which is a good thing and i dont know why anyone would want to change it.
  18. What, the whoopie cushion idea? Or the kazoo idea?
  19. I spent 3 hours trying to put a gearbox back onto my R31. I got it off ok, but just couldnt get it that last little bit to get it back on. In the end i unbolted the exhaust brackets under the car and loosened the motor mount things and it went on easily. The motor just needed to be tilted that little bit more. But it might be different with R32/conversions.
  20. I picked up my gf with my R31 wagon but now i have an R32 and my gf hates it. "Its too bumpy" "Its too noisy" "The airconditioning doesnt work" "I dont like the whooosh sound" "It only has a tape player" "You always drive with the windows down" But i still love her. Just
  21. The method that is being pmed around does not apply to R32s. So all you R32 owners out there rejoice!
  22. Hi. Im interested in the dyno day but my car is pretty stock and ive never had it dynoed before. Is it worth while, even just to get an idea of where my car is at at the moment, how the AF ratios are? Might also have a friend coming with his 2.5L WRX, depends if he can get the day off work. $45 sounds like a pretty good deal.
  23. Mines a 92 Type m and it doesnt have an airbag but does have the warning label. So it is safe to assume that all cars have the warning label, even if they dont have airbags. What sensors are you talking about? Whilst we are at it, can someone translate the other side, the vit about the exhaust temperature warning light?
  24. Just get a pod filter and leave the plumb-back in place, the sound will be almost as loud. Hehe, i think a kazoo or something would sound pretty funny too.
  25. I guess im a bit old to respond to this post, being 21 and all, but i managed to buy my R32 GTSt about 4 months ago. Im at uni 5 days a week, and work probably 15 hours a week during semester, and almost full time over summer. I saved $8k in about a year and then borrowed another $8k from the bank to buy my car. Living at home makes it easy, but you just need to want it bad enough and you will find some way of saving up and still make ends meet. PS. Learn to sew. It'll help when all your socks have holes in them and you cant afford new ones because you have your insurance to pay.
