Hey, Ive been looking at buying an 92-93 R32 GTSt for about 4 months now, I really wont a car thats 5speed with a sunroof, not too modded. Ive got aroung 15k. Ive had 2 cars inspected by RACV/NRMA, one had major structural damage, the other was good but the motor blew up the day after the test was done! Ive also offered money on 2 others but no one is willing to sell with RWC. My question is: Where are all the R32's? Why arent there any for sale? I thought it would be the perfect time to sell-as of next year '89 cars will be 5k cheaper than '92-93 cars, no one will want later models anymore. If anyone knows of any cars that match the description Ive given, preferably white, please post or pm me. Must be willing to sell with RWC. Thanks, sorry to vent my frustration online, Rhett

I read the whole EPA Emmissions Regulation and it says: The car's noise level must not be more than 90 dB The test must be done by putting a microphone half a metre behind the exhaust, at the same height as the exhaust or 20cm, which ever is greater. The mic must be angled up at 45degrees to the exhaust flow. The test is done at 3/4 of the RPM where max power is made, if that number is known by the "Authority" Or else at 3200RPM. 3 tests must be done, they must not differ by more than 1dB, and then the average is taken. It is then rounded down to nearest whole number. eg Test 1 90.9 test 2 90.3 test 3 90.5 ave=90.57 Therefore level is 90dB and OK If this is not is exactly done at an EPA noise test, I would be complaining. And you would win, coz thats what the law says. :shake: Hope that clears things up, Rhett

Hey man, I was the other guy that was going to buy that car!! What did u end up getting it for if i can ask? How much did it cost for RWC? I wasnt willing to buy it without it, i was a bit worried abou the exhaust manifold gasket? Did u get that fixed? Did it end up needing a new windscreen? Rhett

Inark thats still not very expensive, i think that most people would be willing to pay that. Thats less than a weeks insurance!! (for some) I like the 2 stage membership as well. I think people would pay $30 just for social mem., just to help the club along a bit at the start. Now all i need is a car, still cant find anyone selling an R32 5speed with sunroof in Vic.

Im 21 rating 3 no fines or anything was quoted $2900 for R32 Gtst worth $15k with exhaust, in Outer SE Melbourne (Mornington). They lowered it to $2600 but wouldnt go any lower. Couldnt match just cars $2100. When i asked if she used r32 or r33 Robin said that for turbo cars it doesnt matter which model, they use the same base rate.

Ive been wondering for a while... Can u fit a CA20 block from a pintara to a CA18? (Just like Rb30 to RB25?) Or am I wrong completely?

Go to www.justcarinsurance.com.au and do an online quote. You will know in about 24 hours how much it might cost. As you have no insurance history (rating 6) im guessing alot, prob $3000 or more. Asuming ur getting a turbo.

Rear pods are the little bits of body kit behind the rear wheels, like an extension of the side skirts. Im pretty sure they come standard on Type M GTSt.

There are only 2 r32 in vic for sale at the moment with sunroofs that are manual turbos'. They are both wine red. If anyone knows of any other cars please pm me. Im not that picky, but must have sunroof, be manual and not be too modded. Thanks

Ive got 3 and 4 on one dvd, good value as it was the same price as a single issue. But I also have HPIv5 and its even better. Got them from autobarn, which was slightly more expensive but got them immediately. U will end up watching them a fair few times, not just once. My fav scene is taking R33 GTR for spin in v5 on the street, set to 2.1 bar, dodging trucks and cars. Rhett Ps Does anyone know where i can see initial D? Was it on tv or something, or a DVD?

Hey, Thinking about buying a car thats in Sydney, does anyone know what the deal is with rego tranfer, and all these diff. coloured slips? Are NSW RWC accepted in Vic? Really dont want to have to get a RW in Nsw to buy car then another 2 days later in Vic to rego it. Any help or input would be great, surely someone must have done this before? Thanks, Rhett

Hey, Im living in Vic and was considering buying an R32 from Sydney. I have no clue what all this stuff about green, pink and blue slips is and was after some help. I want to buy a car with a Road worthy certificate, is it called a green slip in Nsw? Can the NSW rego be transferred to me, even if i dont live in NSW? I really dont want to have to get 2 RWC, 1 in Sydney when i buy the car, and then another 2 days later when i have to rego it in Vic. Any help would be appreciated, Rhett
