  1. So is anyone interested? If someone wants all of the magazines they can have them for $120.
  2. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reynolds_number As the other engineers/engineering students have said before, there won't be any "laminar" flow anywhere near your cars intake/cylinders/exhaust etc. Just reduce the pressure drop as much as possible through your piping by making it as straight and short as possible, with the largest piping that still gives you resonable response.
  3. I was lucky enough to get tickets over the internet, we had 6 people trying to buy tickets at 9.00am and only 3 got through. Another one of my mates queued up for hours and got nothing. The prices on ebay of $8000+ per ticket must be people bidding to piss off ticket scalpers, surely no one would pay that much to see them? Apparently they are going to be playing big day out anyway, so maybe buy a ticket to that instead?
  4. Hey Yawn Ive got GTR special eds 2 3 and 4 for you. I guess postage probably about $3 so is $12 delivered OK with you? If so i'll pm my bank details. Gazilla - there are quite a few issues with R34 GTT's featured. If you are serious about wanting all of them I can go through them all and pick them out for you? It'll prob be about 20 mags or so, I noticed you are in SE melbourne so probably best you come and pick them up? Let me know what you want to do and I can have a look and work out how many issues and what the price will be. Thanks, Rhett
  5. Yeah I had a quick look and I dont have it in the box. Its pre issue 20. I have a few more of them floating around my parents house, I'll have a look for you when I next head over there. I'm pretty sure I have the one with your car on it. I'll pm you when I get a chance to have a look. PS to everyone else I have all 3 other GTR special editions. cheers, Rhett
  6. Hey all, I really need to clean my bedroom up and make some more room. So I'm selling all my magazines I've got lying around. I have 66 High Performance Imports magazines, all in good to very good condition. I have almost every issue between issues 17 and the latest one 84, including the GTR special editions and the Supra and Soarer special edition. Specifically, I've got issues 17, 20 to 42, 44, 46 to 80, then 82 then 84. So if you want a specific issue, or want the whole lot, just ask and I can do you a deal. If someone wants all of them I'm after $150 or near offer. Postage would be considerable as the box is quite heavy, but I can look into it if anyone is keen. Otherwise the magazines are located in Armadale, Melbourne Victoria 3143. Individual magazines $3 each, 4 for $10 or name which ones you want and I can work out a price for you. all prices are plus postage (at your cost). Feel free to make me an offer! And no I'm not posting pics unless someone is really keen. Also, I have 16 random car mags including Zooms, Wheels, Motor, Autosalon and Modified magazines. $20 plus postage. Finally, I have the Febuary Japanese Option 2 magazine, which I bought in Japan early this year. $15 plus postage for this baby... PM me or post away. Thanks, Rhett
  7. Mine sits neatly along the passenger side foot well, behind the ecu, under the door opening. I can reach it from my seat with my seatbelt on, and its out of the way. And its screwed into the body of the car so it wont fly off.
  8. http://www.arrivealive.vic.gov.au/c_youngGLS_9b.html There is the law, its pretty simple.
  9. Nice first post. People shouldn't be able to post new threads til at least there tenth post.
  10. You broke the law. Its not even bad luck, it is absolutely your fault. But as you said you might be able to claim hardship, try to keep your licence by going on probation for 12 months with 11 demerit points or whatever. You might think that this fine is a little soft, but what about the other points you must have lost to put yourself in this predicament? That said, see a solicitor that deals with traffic violations all the time. If the police are using a hand-held radar gun, I've heard that legally they have to prop it up against either the dash or the window sill of the car. They can't use them just standing on the side of the road. But maybe that is just forum talk.
  11. They take the items down once the auctions are over unfortunately. Its not like ebay.
  12. The R32 GTSt is under the power to weight restriction.
  13. Someone should buy the Volk racing centrecaps... Bargain at $9 for the lot!
  14. does it have a sunroof too? You might be pleasantly suprised as there was never a factory manual and leather interior option.
  15. If you have a multimeter, test the voltage across the battery. Is it over 12 volts? If not keep charging. Most battery chargers have a LED that indicates if the battery is charged. Mine took about a day to charge, it was down to 2 volts before i charged it. (My car had been sitting there not being driven for 4 weeks.)
  16. Bump, both items still available. No one is responding to my pm's.
  17. Thanks for your replies, definately will start looking for one to import in the next few months... Pity the yen went from 105 yen per $ to 87 yen in the last week, everything just got 15% more expensive!! I guess I'll wait a few months and hopefully the Aussie dollar will go back up again.
  18. Oh well once again Shannons can't match my just cars quote... they are $200 more expensive. Spoke to Xavier as recommended, he was very helpful but unfortunately couldn't get the price I was after. However, their excess is only $500, whereas just cars is $1500. But I don't plan on making a claim (no one ever does I guess).
  19. By the way you do know the stock gauge is not in bar? its in mmHg. Look up the coversion on google. Its pretty close to bar but not exact.
  20. There is a series 1 and 2 in r32 gts-t. There is also a thing called a Type-M. So you are referring to a series 2 Type-M. The engine is pretty much exactly the same (if not identical) The biggest difference between Type-M and non-Type-M is that they have the bigger 4 piston brakes, leather gear know, gear boot and steering wheel. All of the "other" Type-M things (sunroof, bodykit, upgrade interior, front lip) are options available on both Type-M and non-Type-M skylines. The biggest difference between series 1 and series 2 is that series 1 has blue dials and series 2 has grey dials.
  21. How do they tune it without using a dyno? On the street?
  22. Hey all, After having my Skyline for over 4 years now, I am seriouly looking into getting a (manual) Series 2 Stagea. I'm sick of having to borrow my parents wagon or going in someone else's car whenever I go surfing/camping/snowboarding/want more than 4 people. And the capability to have a tow bar would be great too. Plus I'm sick of the whole "oh you drive a skyline" mentality of some people. But I am concerned that I'll miss the nimble, "chuckable" feel of my r32 gtst. Has anyone (i imagine many have) gone from a 32 or 33 gtst to a stagea? Any opinions would be great. How are they as spirited driving cars? I'm not talking about drifting and street racing, rather just fun drives in the mountains and stuff. Is the stock suspension reasonable? Or would I be looking at upgrading for any serious driving duties? Thanks for any replies, Rhett
  23. Are there any other boost controllers that control boost by blocking the air to the wastegate (like the Jaycar IEBC)? Its the BEST way to do it, so it makes sense to me that it is the BEST boost controller out there. I put mine together without any problem, just be careful and read the instructions. I bought the book from Jaycar aswell because the pics are clearer and its a good read.
