Also do your research the HKS GTR has craked well into the 7's. I have done a search can't find anythig
-
I couldn't of said it better my self "GTR's are not built to drag", as for a 550hp supra on the track it'll munch any mildly gtr for sure, e.g. Amuse single turbo supra with stock engine pushing aroung 550hp vs mines r34 gtr fully built engine, obviously the supra lost but not by much, but that's a fully built gtr search for the vid if you haven't seen it.
-
Big rizza you really have no idea about cars, we all know the potential of the gtr/rb26, but do you even know what rz supras are capable of, in my opinion they shit all over any gtr, as with a few boltons they are able to make 550hp+@ the wheels and run 10's on stock internals. As for traction you can always run nittos 555r's

How much power is it making, and has it been in any accidents?

What Performance Times Should I Expect
elGTR replied to gdogzgtr's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
u should go to the creek and try it out, but don't expect getting 11s, I seen a fair few r32 gtrs with similar power output and the best they can do is flat 12s to 11.9 using micky tompsoms, mind you r32 is lighter than your car. -
He means supra still has a stock engine.
-
You right for an auto though, and I doubt you could get a good condition for that price.
-
Supra is capable of high 10's (10.7 -10.8) with stock engine, subzero ran a high nine with stock engine aparently.
-
Obviusly it is not a standard gtr you looking at it is built completely, unlike the supra whose engine is still standard and can not rev past 7g, not too bad though. Cheers, Dan.
-
Can you get me a manual RZ for 20g?, you must be joking. And by the way yes the gtst is lighter but also weaker in every department and can not be compared to an RZ, as the RZ was built strong to cope a lot of power yet maintaining standard parts. The RZ manual is slightly lighter than an R32 GTR stated in the HPI magazines, if they could only put the power to the ground , maybe 555rs would fix the problem. Cheers, Dan.

The supra didn't do too bad considering it had a warnout lsd and a stock engine, imagine it with built engine more torqe and rev higher impressive though.

Just get a TTSupra or a GTR nuf said.

HKS TA45 & PHR stage 3
elGTR replied to elGTR's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
It is rated at 700Hp. -
Hi guys, I have an original HKS TA45 turbo for sale, with polished housing in immaculate condition. This turbo has been used on my car for less than a year, and it was only driven on weekends, used in city driving-no track or drag. This turbo is capable of 650 to 700hp approx. $1300 Also have a PHR T72 non-ballbearing turbo, (original garret turbo), this turbo is in immaculate condition, comes with polished housing, It has been in my supra for about two months and has made 360rwkw on 22psi. this turbo should be good for 600 to 700hp. $1800 Both this turbos are in excellent condition, the only reason I'm selling is cause I need something bigger. Pm me if interested for more details and pics. Cheers, Mick.

I'll take a r32 GTR or the TTsupra anyday over a VL.
-
yes but the tt supra can produce better numbers than that on stock internals, Subzero did a 9 on stock internal, US guys are doing it as well.
-
Hi mate, I was pretty much on the same boat when I changed my R33 GTR for a TT Supra about a year ago, but after listening to my mechanic of how great the Supra was so I had to get one to try out, and still loving it. There is no comparison between the GTT or GTST to the TT Supra, as the sups is a far better built machine with lots of potential.
-
'Geordie' Im not too sure about your statement , as for the Top Secret Supra with the rb26 engine it was purely built for track purposes not for all out power. If we're talking about power and which one produces more power, than the 2JZ has the advantage over the RB26.

R33 Skyline or RZ TT 6 spd. Supra ?
elGTR replied to nismo33's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Yes but I rather go through a few clutches than to go through a gear box -
I think 30K is too low for the 34gtt, But I don't get it, why u swapping a tt supra to a GTT?????, but I guess everyone to their own.
-
Haha, this is quite funny, go back a few issues of HPI, there is an article talking about the supra when it made it's debut in 1994, (on the track), it continiously beat Gtr two years in a row up to 10 secs faster.
-
Hi guys, evo_lee is actually right, the JZA80 (latest shape supra 1400's for manual and 1500 for the auto) is actually lighter than most GTR's I think its the same or a little more hevier than the 32Gtr, the older supra is the heavy one it weighs between 1500kilos for manual and 1600 kilos for the auto, most people get that wrong, I guess the fat looking supra is deceiving. When I had my R33 Gtr, with boost, exhaust and piggy back, I raced my mate in his RZ with similar mods, I shited all over him 1st and 2nd, he caught up as soon as I shifted to 3rd and past me, and I could not catch up. Well I guess I had the first 100 meters won, but supra had the rest.

R33 Skyline or RZ TT 6 spd. Supra ?
elGTR replied to nismo33's topic in General Automotive Discussion
siksII, yes man they run 13's stock, not 12.8 as Kamikase puts it, it'll probably run that time with maximum boost, bigger inj etc...But we're talking stock. -
R33 Skyline or RZ TT 6 spd. Supra ?
elGTR replied to nismo33's topic in General Automotive Discussion
yes, I got one after I sold the GTR, Im in the process of buying a T72 turbonetics turbo kit, injectors and computer, hoping 4 an 11.2 pass on street tyre (semi slicks). In the US there is countless soops making 10 secs on stock int, Ice supra in aus 10.9 with 380 rwkw stock int. Im pretty sure theres a few supras in the supra Club making over 442rwkw, 410rwkw.
