  1. I have been in a GTR on D-jetro. Response was awesome and street driveablity perfect. My own car(S13) I swapped from a rom with Z32 to powerfc D-jetro. The car has never driven better. The responce of low throttle is fantastic. Also if I feather the throttle on and of in high revs(enough the bov goes) the car is not jerky like it was with the AFM. Saying all this though means nothing, as we all should know by now an ECU is only as good as the tuner tuning it ......

  4. I Spoke to AIR today. They said the timing guy is sorting things at the moment and Bob Jane is coming down over the weekend. They will know whats going on 100 % by wednesday. Said it is most likely going ahead at this stage though.
  5. Put a Garret turbo on it, I hear the Apexi's have an in-built miss. :lol: I think PNB is right with check the loom too. Remember it was coming up with ignition circuit fault on the consult. Which generally is not the cas.

  7. I have an SR20 with gt3540R with .82 rear makes 1 bar about 4600 obviously this not an rb30 but with 2 more cyclinders and 1 litre more then my sr20 you would expect it to spool 1 bar a good 1000 rpm earlier.

  11. I'd be intersted to know if anyone has wired a consult plug into a loom. I could see this being useful for conversions were the newer engine in and older car loose's out. I have found this on the net previously. Not sure how accurate it is. Has anyone also had success downloading an ECU Rom file(bin) using the consult ?? I have tried it using nissandatascan on R32's and it seems to sit there and do nothing.
  12. I'll point out what i see as an issue with this idea. he is adjusting the AFM reading accross everything. It is not dependant on RPM / Load / Temp / Conditions. Sure he is testing on the dyno I assume full power runs at full throttle. I would say he could get that quite right. I doubt he tested all rpm / load conditions at all temps. If he leans it out with this method, everything is leaner !! Things like close loop driving will be leaner. Light throtle leaner. Cold start leaner etc etc .... Sure he can leave a "buffer" but as you can imagine it would not be an ideal way to do things.

  14. can i point out that its a bit hard to call how laggy a turbo is without seeing the tune ? Your assuming that all other factors are perfect. if your timing is way out(cam belt slipped) for example it can be a pig to spool and make no power.
  15. Brazilian http://www.masterpower.com.br/ They seem ok from what i have "seen". Personally with the price of garret plain bearing turbo's unless you are getting the master power REALLY cheap then why would u go past a proven Garret.
  16. One thing that bugs me is from what i have seen midly modified rb20's make peak hp bewteen 6200 - 6800 rpm. Engines without cams this is. Then pretty much the power dies of. So really not sure why people swing the rb20 beyond 7k in these states of mods.

  18. SK, Is it not also possible with a new fuel pump if its running a "LOT" more pressure and flow, for it to actually push more then the fuel regulator can handle ? Then creating greater rail pressure and a richer tune ? extreme case probably but curious.
  19. Amm there is also the breather into the inlet snorkle. Which fills all your piping and intercooler with oil. I'd say using a catch can to stop that isn't rice.
  20. I believe the main issue you will have is with the final rear hook and the tip alignment under the rear bumper. They are not the same exahust.
  21. I see Fatz you have your D-jetro for sale now. There are a couple of 26's here(perth) now running d-jetro without the single throttle body conversion. Perhaps it would be worth your while speaking to X-speed in perth.
  22. There is a difference. I have pulled the rom files of both a silvier Rb20 auto and a manual. The main tables(fuel/ignition) are pretty much the same. The rev limit seems higher on the manual though(although this could be a fluke). The actual map files are not the same though. From what I understand the auto softens the timing in the higher RPM so when you stand on it, during the gear change there is not as much tourqe. Hence going from an auto to manual, a auto ecu would work ok, you just may find the top of your rpm lacking slightly. If you were to go the other way, manual ecu in an auto, you will find your gearchanges some what un-pleasant with the auto box at full throttle.

  24. Got this nice set for sale Apexi 260 intake and exhaust Cam shaft 10.8mm lift Matching Heavy Duty valve springs All to suit SR20det Red top. The cams were sold to me as 260(although i can't verify thats what they are) I have confirmed the lift is 10.8 though. On my SR20 they gave a good 25 - 30 rwhp increase across the rev range with no other mods and at the same boost level. These are used but in excellent condition. Will post up pics at a later date. Looking for $850 for the set.
  25. Your base timing might be right and you may pull out heaps of timing in the ecu ... doesn't mean your cam timing is correct ... Any chance you got the teeth out when you setup the timing belt ? Just a thought
