  1. There is no access fee for the tracker. You only pay the mobile carriers charges. I use Vodafone no plans, which means I only pay for the calls that the tracker actually makes (next to nothing) There is an Optus $9/month plan, which includes enough calls You can also use prepaid and only pay for calls you use. Depends on who does it and exactly what you want done. Around about $200-250 for a Japanese car. quite easy to fit yourself though.
  2. Actually...no, it has been proven that in a perfect world, one turbine per cylinder would be best.
  3. Looks like I will be grabbing 3 units for RX7 this week along with a couple for myself and a mate. If anyone else wants to jump in this week, they can get the good pricing too.
  4. You really need to consider the mass differences too. All else being equal, a weight saving of say 100kgs will make a hige difference to the trap speed. (like having maybe 8% more power) I remember seeing somewhere that the Mines BNR34 runs low 130mph traps, and is rated at alot less than 600rwhp. And that is in a heavy body.
  5. What are you talking about? The fluid dynamics behind it all say that one turbo per cylinder is the ideal.
  6. I can supply the addons, but if you get 50% off retail, the price is probably similar. The ezitrak can be easily triggered of any existing alarm system
  7. I personally don't like the other ypes of sensors, but yes you can fit them. I find shock sensors especially useless, if they are set soft enough to actually be triggered, a loud exhaust/stereo/truck will always set them off. Pretty damn hard to strip a car without opening it...maybe wheels that's about it. If you have a good relaible alrm fitted that you are confident with, you can easily trigger the ezitrak of your existing alarm's output.
  8. Yep...comes with backup battery. Definately essential. Only triggers off doors and GPS movement. You can add shock sensors or ultrasonics etc, but not usually a good idea as they are prone to false alarms.
  9. It better run better than 14s...or you'll have to fit the new spug plugs quick smart
  10. I didn't say you can't get a perfect tune, I said there's no such thing as a perfect tune. Perfect for what purpose? Perfect in what way? There is always a compromise. You can always push it a little harder and make a bit more power and the expense of reliability. Also depends what you want the car for. Street driving, drag racing, circuit racing etc.
  11. Butthead on these forums had his car tuned by CRD and wasn't happy, so he went to Bel. He is pretty impressed, drop him a PM if you like (although I belive he is very busy these days). Not a GTR I know, but the owner of the 2.5L sti I refered to above is keen to have Bel retune his car. The owner is a freind of a friend, so if I hear anything, I'll let you know.
  12. You could drive if you wanted to...but personally, I wouldn't want to. Most of the tuning they do is around the spool up point, they only really need to do a couple of runs throught the full rev range. If your clutch was fine before the tune, it will be fine after the tune, they don't need to go through the gears hard. Although, if your clutch is marginal to start with, don't be surprised if it starts slipping becasue the car makes more power (my old STI did this during the tune) If you're that worried, speak to Ben about going down to Wakefield for a trackday with them and get him to tune it around wakefield.
  13. And if you want to start comparing. My old MY00 STI trapped 111mph. Stock except for Power FC. Still running JDM standard boost levels. ECU tuned by Bel. Another MY00 STI. Major mods. Big apexi turbine with external gate, 2.5L bottom end with forged pistons and rods, front mount, 1.6bar boost. Power FC tuned by CRD...this car traps 112mph. How could I not be happy with mine? What about Butthead's BCNR33. Had the works from Japan. 2530s, 550cc injectors, full exhaust, dumps, cam gears, HKS fromt mount etc. Power FC tuned by CRD...could only trap 110mph. wrxhoon's old BCNR33 stock except for N1 turbines and Power FC trapped 121mph. Butthead had his retuned by Bel...ask him how it goes now. Oh...did I mention that wrxhoon's car used to get 8km/litre fuel consumption? You can't compare my car to TWO.06l. Mine has a good 200lbs on it for a start. My car runs air cond, power steering and clutch fan. I also ran my car in full street trim. Cat converter, quiet exhaust, straight optimax, only 1.3 bar boost, spare tyre etc. I know I could gain more average power by running decent fuel, putting in a bit of timing up top and pulling some fuel...but it's street car so I don't want to tune it for race fuel. Also, in the end, I couldn't care less what power my car makes. So long as it has the response I want and has good average power, I'm happy. Nothing against CRD at all...but in the end, there's no such thing as a perfect tune, it's not rocket sience, all you can do is change AFR, timing and boost until you get the result you desire. I've always been happy with Bel, because they don't just tune for power, they take the time to make sure the response is good everywhere.
  14. I've had a few cars tuned by Ben at Bel. They did a road tune on my GTR. but the top end was getting a bit hairy on the street, so he wanted to clean it up a bit and lean it out on the dyno. I ran the car at WSID after just the road tune and did a 11.6@120MPH. Bel took it down the south coast to a 4x4 dyno and it only needed about 30-40mins spent on it. Ended up making 290kw. (still running fairly rich AFRS) At compak attak, the car ran an 11.3 and was trapping 124mph. A bit more fuel can be taken out at the top end and it will make a touch more power. I've also had a couple of Subarus tuned by Bel. My old STI (street tune only) was stock except for PowerFC and exhaust and was running mid 12s and trapping 111mph. Lots of guys spend big dollars on WRXs and still can't get into the 12s. Bel have tuned quite a few GTRs from this forum. I can think of at least 7 or 8.
  15. Pretty easy to set up actually
  16. And the real beauty of them is that you can run the OEM airbox
  17. Becasue he changed the spark plugs
  18. Ant...do you have a graph with a boost curve?
  19. What do you mean by "come on"? A stock GTR seems to make 1kg/cm boost by about 3300RPM under load. There is no way 2530s will do that. All the ones I've seen (I'm not saying it can't get better) make 1 bar at just under 4500RPM.
  20. I liked the old weight...and I like the no slicks rule...haha
  21. They all have the 0.64 ex housing...what comp cover do they have?
  22. Why not go for NISMO dumps if you want a stock look?
  23. Yet everyone raves about 2530s which have similar lag
