  1. Possibly. How much are you after for it? Is it complete in a housing? I assume it's 1.5 way?
  2. John...what made it burn so much oil?
  3. So...you can pull the pinion and shaft out with the sump still on? My diff decided it had enough...
  4. No...I didn't say that at all. I would like to know if it's possible to setup the preload and backlash on the car though?? It doesn't look like it to me. I guess you could always drop the subframe and pull the sump off but that isn't really an easier option.
  5. And how do you set up the pre load on the car?
  6. and just jap and other traders in Sydney have them for alot less but thanks for the offer
  7. Wanted: R32/R33 GTR front diff / sump assembly PM or call 0419 126 206
  8. One reason for changing the oil after a few kays I guess is too remove any traces of friction modifiers in the oil from any assembly lubes used.
  9. haha...the last one I saw was Thai from memory. OEM Nissan filters bought from Japan are made in Japan though.
  10. Your wrong at a guestimate, twin 2.5 inch is about the same flow as a single 3.5 inch pipe. (I could work it out, but too busy) It's all about the surface area. Think about how many 2.5 inch pipes you could fit inside a 5 inch pipe. That TR is the one I was talking about...very loud though.
  11. Brett, an off the shelf jap system will probably be cheaper than a custom made one. Trust do one (TR) from memory, but it's super duper loud (but you wouldn't care about that ). It's only mild steel so not too exxy.
  12. Just like most other 550-650PS GTR's in Japan. 2rismo - To adjust the fuel pressure, you just tee a gauge into the fuel line between the pump and the rail, then turn the bolt clockwise to increase pressure or anticlockwise to decrease pressure. When you have the desired setting, lock with the nut.
  13. Yep...he was lucky. Put a nice hole in the roller door though
  14. Been using BEL garage for years (when they were still at Homebush) Highly receomend them and they have a different philosophy to most other workshops. They car more about how happy you are than how much money you spend with them. Although, next time, get them to source the Jap parts for you too, as they have pretty good prices.
  15. A mate of mine had a set of super cheap spring compressors braeak on him...not a pretty sight. As a general rule, I avoid placing my life in the hands of anything Chinese.
  16. I think you'll find you actually have to 'teach' the system the code of your key, not the other way around. They just work by having a liffle tuned circuit that oscillates at a given (precise) frequency.
  17. Like I said, I'm no expert, but that doesn't quite seem right none the less.
  18. maybe Bu5ter should write a book entitled "101 setps to making your GTS look like a GTR"
  19. Nah...I've never bought a book in my life...no time to start now. Oh...and I'm no drag racing expert. Sure, I've had a few runs, but it's only for the fun of it and to see what the car can do. If I was into drag racing, I would not have a turbo manual 4wd full weight street car. I would build a lightened rwd N/A auto with drag slicks. Drag racing is all about consistency, and that's the best way to get it.
  20. Not sure...never bothered reading the thing...but it is a street meet and I have a street car...are you driving yours there?
  21. haha...my OEM plastic one fits my genuine GTR just fine. But, if I were to fit it to a GTST, it wouldn't fit quite as well because it would stick out too far on either side for the skinny rear guards. I may come down on the 14th, not out to prove anything...unless you choose to run on real street tyres, with real street fuel, a cat and a quiet exhaust? Maybe you can run a manual too...or have you forgotten how to change gears?? Seriously though, will be great to see you run again, so may come down either way.
  22. haha...you wish. Although, those fibreglass genuine imitation GTR wings do look nice My number plate is MIKxxx
  23. Any pics of my car e_lu-shun? She was a bit dirty. hadn't had a bath in a few weeks, but none the less...
  24. Kris's BNR34 was strapped, wrxhoon's wasn't (and no, I wasn't game to stand in front of it!)
